Lots of Bathrooms, 2 kitchens

My family and I had an amazing time in this vacation home during Christmas. There’s lots of space, a bathroom in each floor, enough beds and the location is perfect. Our whole family had a great time staying here!

Easy to access, clean, great location, and ample space! Were already making a plan to come back to this spot next year!

Great house! Also, we left some things and management was super helpful.
2.0 / 5.0
While check-in and location were great, we found a few piles of animal feces in the upstairs, the showers were not cleaned and had hairs on them, and all of the rooms were not vacuumed and trash was not disposed of. Upon request to have someone clean the place, we were told that it would have to be the next day. We did not want to stay in a place that had feces on the floor and had clearly not been cleaned, so we were forced to book another hotel in the area after the management advised there was no place to relocate us to. They also did not want to reimburse us for the stays that we had to pay for. While the cleaning fee was reimbursed, we still did not have any way to spend time with our family together which we were desperately needing. Overall the experience was awful, I would not recommend this property manager Vacasa and their listings to ANYONE. You requested a review, here it is.
The person that did come the next day to clean was very kind and apologized greatly for the issues we experienced.

We called about the hot tub being dirty and murky upon arrival and was told somebody would reach out and come fix it. Never heard back from anybody or saw anybody. Pretty ridiculous. The house overall was fine.

Cozy home with sleeping areas on each of the three floors. Well-equipped kitchen with updated appliances. Plenty of towels and supplies in the three bathrooms. Walk to downtown Govey easily. Local Vacasa team was friendly and responsive to the one little need that we had. Highly recommend.

Great cabin for large family, lots of beds. Was called before arriving that hot tub was deep cleaned and may not be hot upon arriving, but it was not deep cleaned. It was cloudy and we found some food items like pineapple pieces in it. Location to town is great but it sits between to other cabins VERY closely. Overall a great place for a large family looking to have some fun in Govy and don’t mind close proximity to others. Love it is pet friendly as well!

There were 33 of us staying between two homes in Government Camp. Our home had 15 people who stayed there. The other home had 18 people staying there. We were able to get together for part of our meals. We all did activities together in the daytime. Alpine Slides one day and the Columbia Gorge another day. Lots of fun and great memories!

We were 11 family members of 3 generations. The house was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and beds were all comfortable. I had the lovely upstairs room with balcony. My only (minor) complaint was the sound of traffic, but that is pretty much true anywhere in government camp. Family all loved the hot tub on the deck which was clean and lovely. Great house for large groups!

We filled up this great house with family from ages 3-75 and had an awesome stay. The house is so well stocked in the kitchen which I find is rare for a rental. Had everything we needed and then some for all of the cooking we did for our big group. We would have liked more towels and sheets available but that was a minor inconvenience. The house was an easy walk to the commercial area of Government Camp and was a 10 minute drive Trillium Lake where we spent each day. Had a great time.

Roomy, fun, close to everything
We had such a great time here, the king beds were particularly comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, we loved being able to walk down to restaurants, and having the govy general store across the way was so convenient. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large party, enough bathrooms for that many people too. Contactless check-in was so smooth and yeah, we had no problems at all!

Enjoyed staying here. One missing item was not having a can opener but we worked around that. The whole family had a great time!

Epic Location and Stay
Our stay in the chalet was excellent and would recommend it to families and groups. We were only a family of four but there is so much space for multiple families. Great accommodations, well stocked, and great communication from Vacasa! The ultimate for me is the proximity to bike trails dropping down Mt Hood into town. I rode in Timberline Bike Park all day and was able to take bike trail all the way down the mountain into Government Camp right to our doorstep at the chalet.

Great Location (Mt Hood)
Our experience at this property was great! If you’re traveling to this area with a group of people and are looking for a house that can cater to a big group this would be a GREAT suggestion.

Big and functional
This house has everything you need to have a great weekend, very good amenities, well-stocked, plenty of space, in the heart of Mt. Hood. We had a great time with friends and family. The only thing that can be done in the future is an update or remodel and the housecleaning could be better.

Everything was very smooth. Even when we clogged the kitchen sink, ( our fault). It was fixed within the day. Thank you!

Snowboarding family fun
This house so perfect for our Hugh family and our fur babies! The hot tub was all ready to go when we got there from the mountain. The table fit everyone at the same time. The beds were huge and comfortable. We walked into town and got lunch one day. I will book this house again and recommend this to anyone

Great Gathering House
In times of COVID you can spread out in this house! It’s huge! There are 4 private bedrooms with a downstairs and and extra kitchen. Our bubble group was able to s p r e a d out! It can sleep 18 - just be aware that the other beds are IN those 4 bedrooms when planning. Kitchen is well stocked. You can walk to the Govy-General down the hill if you need anything. Hot Tub was awesome. And the house is well loved and used so you don’t feel like you can’t touch anything. It’s warm and comfy too. We spent a lot of time around the kitchen table. We think it could squeeze 18 very fit people. :). We were also outside most of the time. Hiked 25 miles in the course of 3 days. Some trails are right down the hill!

Cute, cozy house
My family and I stayed here during the weekend to celebrate a birthday. The house was able to fit our large party with room to spare. The house was clean and the hot tub was a nice plus. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Just the right house for us
The house is perfect size for us and we have a great time there, it has two kitchens which is great for cooking for multiple families, the space is just right for our kids to study and play. The only problem is the internet is so slow, we plan to work from the house, but due to the internet speed, we take vacation instead

Good
Trash was left outside when we got there. The guy showed up and apologized about it. Before he came tried to contact Vacasa and could never get ahold of them at all.

Big, comfortable place for our group!
We loved the size and layout of this place! Worked so well for our group and was comfortable and low key as you could want when in Govy. Amazing proximity to the town and restaurants, of course. We walked to Govy general store for anything we needed to pick up. Also as close as you can get to Timberline too, of course. And vacasa team was SUPER responsive and fast when we had a question about trash (had animals get into one can one night) and hot tub (we had kids in our group so wanted to see about cleaning it/chemicals a little more often). Such a great experience al around with this stay. Would book again for a similar group for sure. Especially liked the downstairs bonus living/kitchen area as we had an infant who wanted to wake up at strange hours - and no fear of bothering the rest of the group with noise or lights - since everyone else was staying in the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms.

Great House For A Large Group
Works great for lots of people! Great location too. Wish it had been more clean upon arrival, hot tub water murky, mud room full of recycle and trash/diapers spread out on the lawn. We did email management but never received a response. We didn't let this get in the way of enjoying the mountain. Good family memories were made.

The floor plan is wonderful for a large group and having the two kitchen made cooking an early Christmas dinner a breeze. Kristopher the manager was so helpful and made our stay pleasant. We will be back.
