About this cottage rental

This adorable little studio cottage is located in a private association with beach just 200 steps away! The property has one Queen size bed and sleeps 2 adults max. Accommodations include a fully equipped kitchenette, full bathroom with shower, a Roku Smart TV with free wifi, air conditioning, a cute little deck with café table and chairs, and off-street parking for one car. Bed linens, towels and beach chairs are included. There is a maximum of two guests and one vehicle permitted at any time, this is not a place for entertaining. Please Note: There is a larger house next door that is also available for rent, sleeps 4, visit VRBO 694278. Located less than a two-hour drive from mid-town Manhattan and Boston, the area is perfect for hanging at the beach, long walks, bicycling, scenic drives, canoeing, kayaking, antiquing, outlet shopping, wineries and more.

My husband and I wanted to surprise his family as they were staying in their own rental one street over from this one. They were so happy to see us and we had a awesome time! A lovely cottage, furnished with everything we needed, just a few steps from a small beach at the end of the road. And, there is a lovely 10 minute walk to the town beach, too. Host was very accessible, but we didnt need to contact for anything. Neighbors are friendly, great little surrounding community and close to grocery stores. Many fun things to do in the area!

Enjoyed our stay at the beach house! It is definitely only for 2 people but has everything you need. Check in was easy and Tanya was very responsive. Would definitely book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this romantic little hideaway. From exploring hidden trails to the town beach, to cooking a nice little dinner before watching the sun set over the sound, to enjoying easily accessible local cuisine, this little nook is perfectly suited for a short or extended beach getaway. We will definitely visit again.

We stay two or three nights on the way to and from Cape Cod. Usually in a B&B. Decided to try the cottage experience. 51 Uncas was perfect. Upkeep fantastic. Tanya very responsive.

Cute little house with a front porch 1/2 block from the beach in a nice neighborhood. Small space kind-of like a hotel room with a kitchen but great space to stay to be short walk from the beach. Short drive to Madison and Guilford.

This quaint little beach cottage was perfect for the two of us. The place was spotless and perfectly equipped, with restaurants and shopping all very conveniently located. The private beach with beautiful sunsets is located just a few houses down the street. Booking and check-in were completely seamless. We will definitely return!

Let me start by saying this was a trip long overdo due to an accident that happened in my family. We had waited a long time to get away to a quiet place that was reasonable and be stress free. Tanya was good with communication for booking. When we arrived and finally settled in I noticed the toilet did not look clean at all and the bathroom sink had soap marks that were never washed away. Being that Covid is still going I can’t say it didn’t make me a little unsettled but I cleaned it and moved on. The next morning we saw hurricane Ian was going to turn up in the path we had to drive home too so we decided to leave a day early to stay safe. I did inform the host that we would leave and did reach out to see if she could help with the fee a little for the second night since unexpected events had happened. Honestly I would have just appreciated understanding but instead got a remark that she couldn’t be blackmailed for a good review. That her reviews speak for themselves and good luck with that! Wow! That was such a kindhearted remark from a host. So my review is- the place is very dated,; they leave the windows open to air out the mustiness; the neighbor stares out the window as your settling in, the sheets and bedding were clean but the bathroom was lacking. It is small which is fine but needs updating. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and have never been treated by a host with such a harsh statement. Stay if you choose- you are the customer but as for me, never again. I would go back to all the other homes as they deserved a 5 star rating. This one- not so much.

We enjoyed our stay. Celebrated 60th birthday week of an amazing women. Lots to do. Tanya checked in on us to make sure everything was great. Would stay again. Had to cut our stay short by 1 day to return to SW Florida due to Hurricane Ian.

Such a lovely location a block from the Long Island Sound, sandy beaches, parks and flat ocean waters. The cottage is comfortable and quaint with just enough room for two. It was easy to find and our hosts made everything simple. Just a few hours from Manhattan, we plan to come back.

My husband and I stayed a week at this property and had a wonderful time! The place was perfect for us, it was clean, nicely decorated and had enough linen for two. The place was also only a few houses from the beach. The beach was gorgeous and private, with water warm enough to swim in. We also couldn’t believe all the restaurants, movies and shopping close by. The owners were very reachable and checked to see if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Accommodating and kind hosts - adorable and clean property in a quiet neighborhood. Little beach at end of street to sit on and enjoy view of the Sound. Lots of cute little streets to take walks on. We enjoyed our stay. Very grateful to Tanya for her kindness.

Small and cozy, just the right size for 2 people. The beach is at end of block, very nice &clean. Check low & high tides if you want to swim. Quiet neighborhood. Bed could have been a little firmer, as we both suffer from back problems! Great suggestions for breakfast, lunch and dinner…we enjoyed a bunch of them!
