We have recently refreshed our condo with new items and furniture.
Our unit is unique because it is on the south corner of Taylor's Crossing. With 1,058 square feet of living space, our condominium is one of the largest units in the village and can accommodate up to 8 people, although 6 persons would be the most ideal. You are a VERY close walk to the lifts, but not facing them. This is a good thing, because the noise those other condo units are subjected to from music, grooming, snow cats, snow making (sounds like a never ending jet engine), and skiers, while 50 yards closer to the American Eagle Lift, can be a BIG drawback. You want a little piece and quiet at some point, right? Now, I am not saying it is perfectly quiet, always. There is a fire pit in close proximity, and a bar down the way. Occasionally, those locations can produce a rowdy crowd, especially on weekends with the Super Bowl, etc.
There are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom number 1 has a king size bed, TV, and bathroom with dual sinks and a tub and shower. Bedroom 2 is ideal for the whole family, as it has a full bed over queen bunk bed that can sleep up to 4 more. The remaining two can sleep on the new couch with sofa bed located in the living room. All sleeping areas have charging ports for your electronics. The second bathroom is located just around the corner from bedroom 2 and has a shower and bath combo as well.
As of July 7th, 2024, we have recently completed the latest refresh of our property. You will enjoy new couches with a very comfortable sofa bed, new coffee table and end tables. Lamps, shower curtains, bath matts, drapes, window treatments and Keurig are new. We also freshly stained all the base boards and doors.
For 2024, we have transitioned to a new hotel-style "top sheet bedding" program ensuring the most sanitary linens are always on the 4 beds which are completely laundered after every visit as we have done away with comforters.
Our living room is attached to the kitchen where you will find all the amenities you will need, such as the dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and a Keurig, and full compliment of dish wares. The dining room table has seating for 6 with a table expandable to 8, and the new 65" TV with Vero Broadband will keep you entertained while you cozy up by the gas fire place. Free 6G Wi-fi.
There is a large balcony off the dining room, where you can watch the beautiful sun rise and sun set from our south facing unit. Very few units have this feature. There is a table and chairs you can relax on as you watch the ice skating on the frozen West Lake, or the fireworks during the New Years celebration (subject to fire restrictions). Note: During the summer, the Aspen trees full of their summer leaves, while they provide wonderful shade, may obstruct some of your view of the lake as they have grown taller over the years.
After a hard day of skiing or summer biking, you can visit the hot tub, steam room and sauna to help sooth those sore muscles! There is a fitness room in the building, as well as laundry facilities (bring some quarters) on the 2nd (very close) and 4th floors.
We are located in the heart of Center Village. Just a few steps from the famous Sugar Lips Mini Doughnut Shop, and around the corner from dozens of restaurants and hopping night life. Down the way is the Copper Creek golf course for our summer visitors, and the awesome tubing runs in East Village to help spice up that ski vacation in the winter. Paddle boating and kayaking is a fun summer activity, as are the go-carts, climbing wall, alpine slide, mini-golf and a zip line just outside the condo. Head down to the outlet shops in Silverthorne for the afternoon. You are about an hour's drive to the gambling town of Black Hawk. Relax in front of the fire pit in the evening. This is not just a ski town, it is a year around family fun town!
For the serious skiers, enjoy a short walk to the American Flyer and American Eagle high-speed Super lifts (6 seats). Enjoy 2,538 ski-able acres. Would you like to try another resort during your stay? Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Arapaho Basin, Loveland Pass and Keystone are all less than 30 minutes away. We have a large ski locker just off the lobby on the first floor to ease your transition to/from the condo to the slopes!
Your car will be safe and warm in our exclusive underground parking facility. A second car can be permitted in the Alpine Lot if requested, free of charge (additional charge for overnight parking). Elevators, with luggage carts, will allow for easy transport of all your luggage and equipment from your car to the condo. There is a large cage located here to store and lock your bikes for our cycling guests. We have two Fuji Mountain Bikes for you to use during your stay. Our unit is smoke free. Pets need to stay at home please.
E-mail or Call us! Have a special request? We will try to make it work. We are not a commercial renter. This is Mom and Pop stuff. The old fashion way. Person to person. Easy to contact. Responsive to inquiries. I will get back to you same day if at all possible. I am an airline pilot, so there may be gaps during the day when I am not reachable, but will respond as soon as practical, always within 24 hours!

Host Fee Structure:
I fully acknowledge that additional fees are frustrating and can add a lot to the final tally. We are very sensitive to this unfortunate reality and try to keep it to a minimum. For full transparency, the cost to own and rent this property would surprise most people. The amount of permits, taxes, fees, and surcharges the Village of Copper places on us to legally utilize this condo as a short term rental borders on ridiculous. To keep this business viable, we have had to add a "Property Fee" to offset an additional 4% STR surcharge Copper requires (on top of the HOA dues, Village dues, Lodging and State/District/Local sales taxes. This 4% totals an average of $29 per night. Some of our fellow neighbors list this fee under their taxes tab, while other collect it separately due to the way it is received and remitted. It will be included at checkout under "Host Fees."
We do NOT require additional insurance. VRBO no longer requires a security deposit upfront, and our cleaning fee ($210) is only what it costs us (Our manager, SkyRun, charges us a $175 cleaning/linen fee and $35 to check you in and manage your stay). Taxes are mandatory and withheld and remitted by VRBO. We never see any of the "Service Fee" or Taxes (State, County, Village, Local). We do not charge more for weekends. As this condo is most suitable for 6 people, we have bed space for up to 8 guests if the sofa bed is utilized. We do add an additional $20/night per extra guest over 6 for the additional wear and tear. You have the option to pay half the bill at booking, and the remaining half 30 days prior to your arrival to help ease your budget. VRBO automatically sends you that reminder for final payment (the payment is NOT automatic so you need to manually make another payment). VRBO does not remit any payment to us until after you check in. Every payment is 100% refundable prior to 30 days and 50% prior to 14 days. Before you arrive, I will e-mail a detailed packet about everything you need to know, from directions, maps, to checking-in, helpful hints, and what to expect during your stay. Any stays of 7 nights or more, you'll receive a 5% discount on your stay!
Starting with the 2023-2024 ski season, Copper Mountain has implemented an OVERNIGHT parking fee (10pm to 5am) if you bring an EXTRA car and park in the ALPINE LOT. That fee is $20/night. Day parking is still free. Our unit has a 1 parking space permit allotment in our underground heated garage free of charge.
We have minimum night stays, typically 2 nights in the summer, 3 nights during the winter low season, 4 nights during the winter high season, and 5 nights during select holiday periods.
SkyRun is our on-site property manager. They will handle your check-in and any needs during your stay.
The condo receives a deep clean every May after the busy ski season has ended. This includes carpet cleaning, and all upholstery, drapes and linens.

We really enjoyed our stay! The owner was fantastic and wonderful to work with. Property management was friendly and helpful.
8.0 / 10.0
We would happily stay here again because the location is fantastic - literally steps from the main lifts, with excellent parking. The home itself is a little tired - carpets are worn, appliances dated. I'm sure this unit gets a lot of traffic, and it's easy to see why it's so popular, but don't expect a spotless modern home.

Had a great time here. Place is perfectly poisoned for skiing and food!

This was our first time skiing in Colorado, and our experience couldn’t have been better. We parked directly under our unit and rented from Charter Sports which is adjacent to the Taylor’s Crossing lobby. The location was perfect! We loved the restaurants in Center Village and used the shuttle to go to West Village for quicker access to easier slopes. The accommodations were very comfortable after a long day of skiing.

Excellent location in the center village at Cooper mountain. Quick access to base lifts American Eagle and American Flier.
2 couples, plenty of room. This is the maximum number of adults I would recommend. Very pleasant accommodation. Sweet heated basement parking. Nice hot tub enjoyed by all of our group. Yep, I would recommend!!

We chose this rental for the location, which lived up to expectations. Right in the heart of Central village and only steps to restaurants and most importantly the lifts. Super comfortable for a family of five.

The condo was in good condition and located right in Center Village which made it easy to access lifts and the Copper Loop bus for the kiddos who went to ski school. Would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay here - great space for our family of 6. Excellent location, so fun to be close to the ice skating rink and Sugar Lips mini donuts! One thing to note, you do have to take a shuttle to West Village for ski school, which we had our kids signed up for. Would for sure stay here again!

We had a fabulous time! The condo location was perfect! We had both experienced and beginner skiers in our group. The lifts to green runs and blue and black runs were so close!! We will definitely stay here again.

We were 3 couples (my husband and I, plus our two, 30- something kids and their spouses. The living/dining/kitchen area worked well for 6 of us The adult kids opted to share the 2nd bedroom (it worked, but space for luggage was tight). Master bedroom was spacious. Lots of natural light and good interior light for evenings. We cooked each night, kitchen well-stocked with pans, etc, and some staples in cabinet were handy. Coffee maker uses A4 cone filters. We had 2 nonskiers- condo so close to AM Eagle lift, and restaurants, the others could easily join us for slope-side lunches. Owner (before arrival) and Sky Run management (while here) were very responsive for any questions.

The place was clean and exactly as described. Nice location in the middle of Center Village. Only problem was showers not draining and backing up but sounds like it was an entire building problem so not something with the particular unit. Had the main cooking utensils we needed for our meals. Would stay again!

Amazing Host and Property
This property is in top condition and the host was exceedingly helpful and reasonable. This is a perfect size for a family of 4-6 and Michael was very help as our trip got a little impacted on arrival time but he was very helpful in extending the check out time without being asked. I would stay here every time at Copper if it is available.

Would stay again…
Clean property that has been well maintained. Easy parking. Only drawbacks were the pictures are no longer accurate as the trees outside balcony have grown so much that you cannot see the water at all. Also if you’ve never been to the area know that there really is nothing in Copper. You must go to at least Frisco for dinners, etc. but it’s only like ten minutes or so down the road. I’m sure Covid has affected businesses being open as there seem to be many restaurants at the resort, but they just weren’t open.

Winter Retreat Pandemic Edition
My housemates and I spent a week at this property, where we did a bunch of skiing and relaxing by the fireplace. The location is extremely convenient, and the unit had plenty of space for 6 adults. Although the pandemic forced us to stay in most of the time, we all had a blast hitting the slopes and sharing meals at the end of the day.

Excellent place for the family!
Great place to stay for the family! Clean and well maintained, beautiful views from the balcony, and perfect location to enjoy all Copper Mountain has to offer with everything within walking distance. Only issue is because you’re in the heart of it all, it was quite noisy well into the wee hours of the morning with the bars/restaurants music and people walking around, as well as outside decorative lights coming in through the window in the master bedroom (we needed windows open at night since there’s no AC, so made for a rough sleep).

Wonderful condo perfect for our family of 5. Walked to the Ski rental spot & right onto the lifts. The Mini Donut shop right outside our door, didn't hurt when we were trying to wake teenagers. Working with Michael, was easy and he was responsive to all requests. Thank you and we will ve back!

Great Location with Caring Owner
This unit has been updated on both the kitchen and bathroom, amazing. Two large soaking tubs available, bring your bath bombs👍
It has a beautiful, quiet view of the mountains and skating pond. You also have a view of the central village donut shop. I often opened the windows to hear the hussel of people passing by or opted for the deck with the quite view.
Great selection of items in the kitchen to allow for cooking in the room and not far away is the small market for any items you may have forgotten. There is a waffle maker!
Also available in the room are two humidifiers a must have during a winter visit.
There were a few issues of wear and tear due to abuse of renters. I discussed recommendations with the owner and he seems very open to fixing these areas. I can only assume those coming next year will find this location even better then we did.
A special note to renters: please treat these homes like they are your own. It is a gift that they are shared with us to rent and I find the scratches, and broken items unacceptable. Yes, we pay a lot for the rental, still no reason to abuse the items left for our use and those that follow.
Enjoy your stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Great ski vacation!
The condo was perfect for our family of 4, and we will use it again next time we go to Copper.
Entering the condo, there is a sizable entryway with a boot tray, bench and hooks - a big enough area to store ski paraphernalia (e.g. helmets, fleeces, coats, boots, etc) so that it didn't clutter the rest of the condo during our stay. The ski locker downstairs is big enough for skis and poles.
The master bedroom is sizable, although the second bedroom is tight with the double bunk bed - our girls loved the bunks nonetheless. Both bathrooms were nice and a good size. There are plenty of extra pillows, blankets, etc.
There is a large and open kitchen and living area. The furniture was nice, although we did not use the pull-out couch. The kitchen was appropriately stocked.
Overall the condo showed normal wear and tear of a rental, but was nicely appointed. The location was fantastic - really easy to walk to the slopes and shopping/restaurants. We drove to Frisco a few times for groceries, and it was easy popping in and out of the garage.
