Nice stay, staff leave a lot to be desired

Highly recommend staying at The Amble Inn

The rooms were spacious and beds were really comfortable. The location was great. Food was lovely. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. I’d definitely stay in this hotel, and any of the other The Inn Collection Group hotels again.

We were in room 14, the cleaning cupboard was next door and the cleaners weren’t exactly quiet but apart from that the stay was spot on.

An amble in Amble

Spacious, modern and comfortable room that was spotlessly clean, with a large car park and hardworking staff. The surrounding area is fantastic for walking/ cycling but the hotel itself is on the outskirts of town, so there is a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of town. Some nice touches like a free drink if guests forego daily servicing of rooms, which I’d not seen before. Breakfast was plentiful.

There was a very long wait for food in the evening, and although I was pre-warned, it took almost twice as long as suggested. Admittedly, the food was delicious and over-worked staff were very apologetic. I made a decision not to eat there on the second night…..and I’m glad I did as there were notices up to say there was no food left!

Excellent stay relaxing atmosphere recharged and refreshed.

This location was excellent we went walking everyday. The food was very nice good choice at breakfast and although busy on the evening it was cooked and served in a good time. We will definitely look at staying again but do like to go to different place.

Hotel was nice and clean staff where pleasant just need to keep the food in what’s on the menu

Good location our room had rear door was nice get fresh air in nice looking interior

Could done with little tlc on paint work /didn’t like no door handles had to let door slam not good for other guests there was no place to hang your do not disturb sign because handles where taken away even though it’s was quite lots things missing off main menu couldn’t have soup because wasn’t any was early and they was running out of food/ first breakfast was basic lot things missing no beans/ scrambled eggs / mushrooms not cooked there was change of staff Thursday breakfast was brilliant everything was there beans scrambled eggs etc

Accomadation good but good not recommended.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked evening meal and were very disappointed.. Many items on menu not available. I.e. for example no fish and chips and pie of the week advertised but not available. What was available wasn't of great quality. At least 5 things on menu not available. Second morning no fruit juice for breakfast only water. Cancelled meal on second night and ate elsewhere.

Door locks a bit confusing. Possibly supply two door cards as if my partner was still in bed, and I needed to go out I had to either leave her in the dark or get her up to let me in.

Wonderful relaxing stay, we can’t wait to return.

Friendly welcoming hotel with spacious family room, the best family room we have stayed in. Lovely little touches and dog friendly too.

Better than a Premier Inn and cheaper too. Certainly be looking at the other properties they operate

Room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good with a full English and continental style on offer. Great coffee too. Plenty of parking. Biscuits and hot chocolate in the room.

Breakfast started at 07.30, and I am sure some would like an earlier start.

OK but disappointing restaurant

Size of room. Comfy bed.

Decor in room - uninspiring and beige. Location - on industrial estate - not attractive. Restaurant staff were tuned out and unfriendly (mostly). Restaurant evening meal was awful.

if you have a dog, don’t think twice to book it. do it NOW and you won’t regret it

this was such a good choice for a person with a dog!!! the hotel was soooo dog-friendly. Starting from having drinking station, doggy menue, a bedtime treat on the bed, a separate door to the backyard from the room so you have instant access to outside for dogs toileting. everything was exceptional. no smell in the rooms even tho they were dogs only rooms. very clean and have everything you need for an easy stay. breakfast was okay but could be better. location was also very good and close to harbour.

Overall very enjoyable and is an excellent location. My criticism is intended to be constructive.

Good quality bacon and sausage. Coffee was good. Comfortable well appointed room. Good location for the nature reserves we wanted to visit.

The staff were polite, courteous and helpful but not enough of them. On the last evening the meal was slow in arriving and came on cold plates and the chips were unpalatable. I was going to raise the issue of the chips with someone at the bar but there were 8 people already queuing at the bar so I didn't. The rest of the meals were good.

The combination of hotel/pub gave you the best of both worlds. Large dining room, excellent food, large comfortable rooms, friendly staff and value for money.

Breakfast could be a bit more healthier. Natural yogurt, FRESH fruit. Not stale old apples and oranges. Where are the bananas melon etc. the pastries where stale and dry

Really good idea to have a free drink if room wasn’t serviced if staying more than two nights 🤞🤞🤞

Breakfast was adequate, although problems with supplier so unable to get porridge, muesli etc and only one toaster which kept breaking down!
