About this villa rental
Ideal for a relaxing holiday by the sea, Villa Galidia is a splendid residence rising up from the ancient footprints of imperial Rome.
Villa Galidia rises from the foundations of an aristocratic villa which, according to legend, was built by a high-class patrician as a wedding gift for his bride.
The building owes much of its appeal to the harmonious blend of the age-old elegance which pervades the property and modern comfort.
It also boasts spectacular sweeping views over the Gulf of Naples, Ischia and Vesuvius, on show day and night from numerous corners of the huge private garden.
The garden features multiple balconies and terraces, the perfect spot to soak up the sun, sip a cool drink or dine under the stars, and which together provide a magnificent frame for the stunning vista.
The villa is set on two floors and sleeps 9. On the first floor, the bright, spacious living room has comfortable sofas and armchairs, a large flat-screen satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a small private terrace.
The ground floor has a well-equipped modern kitchen and a dining room with a large dining-table, dresser, TV and fireplace.

Our extended family of 8 people stayed at Villa Galidia for one week in July 2024. The house was perfect for our family, and the backyard had incredible panoramic views of the coastline and the sea. Everything was clean and very well kept. The daily breakfasts were prepared by Anna, who took very good care of our family and kept everything clean and tidy. We all had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone who wants a very nicely appointed house with an amazing backyard with waterfront views and within walking distance to central Sorrento.

I can’t rave enough about our stay in this beautiful villa.Immaculate, wonderfully located within walking distance to restaurants and shops.Gorgeous views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, beautiful grounds.Staff is exceptional.Ana made breakfast for the 7 of us and she is a gem! Very personable, a great cook.We loved her!

The house is absolutely beautiful and the views are incredible. Everyone we worked with was very helpful and responsive. They helped us book a few tours, and Anna the housekeeper and chef is fantastic!

We were a large family and the place was perfect. Conveniently located in a quieter side of Sorrento but walking distance to everything.

We spent 8 glorious nights at Villa Galidia with our two sons and their partners. Outside views from the spacious garden terrace were spectacular. Anna was tremendous serving us outstanding breakfasts each morning and one delicious private dinner. Adolfo, as concierge, was great setting up excursions to Amalfi coast, Capri, local farm tour and Pompei/Naples. He also made recommendations and reservations for us at excellent local restaurants. Location is great - just a short 10 minute walk in to town. The Villa is perfect for up to 3 couples. The fourth bedroom is not truly private and would only be effective for family with younger children. This was a dream vacation come true.

Our group of 8 adults had a truly memorable stay at Villa Galidia. The location, perched atop the cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples and the Sorrento marina, is unmatched. We enjoyed drinks on the patio every day, often in the hot tub. The center of town is a 10 minute walk; we appreciated the ability to escape the summer crowds. The Villa is quiet, air-conditioned, and fully equipped (Wi-Fi worked well on the upper level but less so downstairs and outside). Anna, the housekeeper, made a wonderful breakfast every morning, cooked dinner for us twice, cleaned the rooms and even did a few loads of laundry at our request. Alisia, the property manager, was always available to answer questions, make dinner reservations, and was very responsive and friendly! This Villa is a rare gem, with indoor and outdoor dining, meticulous landscaping, and sunset views. We can't wait to return.

From the moment we arrived at Villa Galidia, we felt at home. The attention to the decor and the grounds-wonderful. No detail was overlooked. Our housekeeper, Anna went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional-from our breakfast to keeping the villa clean-we cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She truly made our stay what it was. If only we all had an Anna back home! We will definitely be returning. Grazie Anna!

Perfect location, beautiful property, and amazing breakfasts with the lovely Anna! Could not have been more perfect!

Villa Galidia is a lovely property in a great location - easy walk to main streets of Sorrento. It’s very clean, bright, and the personnel managing it are extremely helpful and accommodating. There were only two drawbacks to the villa - there is too much potpourri fragrance and the fragrance was unpleasant and there needs to be Wi-Fi repeaters added to the downstairs master suite where there is no cell reception or Wi-Fi and the dining area.
The villa was so nice that we changed our plans of going to Pompeii for the day so we wouldn’t miss out on more time relaxing at the villa.

Fabulous property in excellent location with amazing view. Anna, the housekeeper made breakfast for us each day , which was wonderful. She is so kind and friendly and made us feel at home. Adolfo, the concierge was absolutely terrific, helping with tours, transportation, reservations, a private chef and boat excursions. Everything we did went without any issues, thanks to Adolfo. We would definitely return to Sorrento, would stay here again and highly recommend Villa Galidia, Adolfo and Anna. Many thanks again for making our visit to Sorrento absolutely fabulous!!!

On the coast of the city of Sorrento, this villa is totally unique as the only private residence
On the coast of the city of Sorrento, this villa is totally unique as the only private residence on the coast edge - all other accommodations are hotels. For that reason alone, its stands out as worth it. The property itself is wonderful, but the benefit of Luxe makes this an experience that will leave a lasting impression. I stayed in December 2021 for 4 days with my wife and 4 teenage boys. The Villa is two stories. The entrance, family room, two bedrooms, arguably a third bedroom, and 2 full baths are on the upper floor (street level). The lower floor has the master bedroom (full bath), dining room, kitchen and a full bath off kitchen. The main entrance opens to the family room straight ahead, which as a balcony off the front overlooking the below backyard and beautiful ocean view. There is a full bath next to the patio entrance. To the right of the main entrance, stairs go down to the dining room/kitchen. The dining is at bottom of stairs and had a large table that could easily fit 10 people. There is a door between the dining and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all basics that will easily accommodate any cooking. On the other side of the kitchen is a full bathroom. There is a door off the kitchen to access covered patio (which has very bad bike and elliptical - love the attempt at fitness, but I would not use them!), and continues to the amazing open backyard. To the left of the main entrance, there are two full bedrooms on the right side of the hall (both have balconies) and a full bath at the end of the hall. At the end of the hall on the left, a door leads to an area that has two small twin beds pushed together. To the right of the beds, there are stairs that lead down to the master bedroom area. One of our sons used this space and worked fine, but the master bath is at the base of the stairs with no other doorentrance. There is also a small work desk area opposite the bathroom that was very useful. There is a separate door that leads to the master bedroom itself. The stairs turn twice, so there is visually privacy from the upper part to the bathroom below, but not audio privacy. Closing the master door at night was sufficient for privacy otherwise for us, but there is no lock on the door. The master bedroom is so awesome! The pictures show the brick arch, etc. We loved sleeping in the room. Plenty of space created to hangfold clothes. There is a private backyard entrance as well

Villa Galidia is one of the best homes we have ever stayed in
Villa Galidia is one of the best properties that we have ever stayed in. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Our appreciation of this property began with Adolfo who helped my aging parents get settled into Sorrento when my arrival was delayed. His care for them even went so far as to take them to the local parking garage. When we arrived, my family was beyond happy with the actual home itself. It is beautiful and well situated to explore Sorrento. It served as an amazing home base to explore the region. The view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius is nothing short of amazing. Then when we didn’t think there could be any more pleasant surprises we met Anna. She was our housekeeper and made a wonderful breakfast every morning for our family. She provides a wonderful additional service in this home and completely spoiled my family for many vacations to come. Villa Galidia has become the benchmark for future property rentals for our family. If you have an opportunity to stay here we highly recommend it.

Do yourself a favor and book this place
Perfect in every way. This villa was just simply amazing. Views, location, ambience, comfort were second to none. Three of the rooms have spectacular views of the sea. Two upstairs rooms have balconies to enjoy the view, while the master bedroom has special access to the private garden. One bedroom with two twin beds does not have a view but this was not a problem at all because of all the other common areas which to take in the scenery (note: for those needing to access the master bedroom downstairs, you must go through this bedroom). The bedrooms all had very comfortable beds, smart televisions, and closets. The common living areas were spacious and comfortable. They even decorated the house for the holidays which was such a nice surprise! The bathrooms were also large with nice, hot showers with amazing water pressure. The kitchen is well-stocked along with a large dining room to fit at least 8 people plus a smaller eating area for four outside on a small balcony off the kitchen. You will enjoy a nice private garden as well! The views are spectacular outside. There is a nice large seating area (covered) and a hot-tub to enjoy. We stayed at the house in December with high temperatures in the 60s (Fahrenheit) and the water in the tub still felt nice. There are even some exercise equipment to use outside. The people that helped us at Villa Galida were truly amazing. Adolfo was our personal contact to use to check-in at the house, he arranged transportation for us and promptly answered any questions we had. He made our stay so easy! And finally, Anna. Anna is your private house-keeper and also makes breakfast for you each morning. The breakfast was phenomenal and it was amazing waking up to the smell of it cooking. She was so sweet and friendly. She then cleaned the house each day and changed linens as needed. Do yourself a favor and book this place. It is really one-of-a-kind and added so much pleasure to our stay. If you do stay here, be sure to not book your days solid - you will want some time to rest and relax here and this is the place to do it!

Great location and incredible private patio and views.
This property along the coast was great. The patio and views are amazing. Two small items to consider, the rooms were good, however the bathrooms are not really connected to each room, although there are plenty. The kitchen is small, but functional - the location and patio makes for this small item for sure. Highly recommend - you wont be disappointed, especially once you step outside and watch the sunrise and set. You can from every driection!

Amazing stay in Sorrento
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights. The villa is beautiful. You enter from the street into the living room and the first thing you see is the ocean with long narrow balcony goin across. 3 bedrooms are on this level. 2 with views of the ocean and another without any view. Then you go downstairs to the dining room and kitchen. The dining room has the lovely balcony off of it where you can enjoy sitting out for more beautiful. Views. From this level you walk out side to the BEST views of the water and sorrento. I do believe this is the best in sorrento. There is a lovely yard with a point you can walk out to that is breathtaking. Perfect for sunsets!! There an area with a long table for dining that is lit up at night. And a jacucuzzi outside as well. The master bedroom is on bottom level with a patio.
Anna, the housekeeper, is AMAZING. She was st the villa everyday making us the most incredible breakfast spread and also helps keep the villa clean for you. She is a beautiful lady that truly made our stay perfect. Her English is not very good but that did NOT matter. All she wants is for you to be happy!!
Adolfo was our concierge and was amazing as well. Very attentive and helped with every question or need we had. He recommends perfect restaurants and ideas to do in the area!! And he answers immediately. Makes you feel you are important to him.
The villa itself is brand new and very soon it will be a 5 star. There are a few things to note that we experienced while there. There is Construction of new 20 room hotel that is basically attached to the villa. The noice was intrusive. But should be final within a month. The jacuzzi was cold. It did warm up a bit but not a true “hot” jacuzzi. The concierge says the owner is buying a new unit for it to make it hotter. So, once that is done, it will be perfect.
We had a lot of issues with Wi-Fi. But they are working on that as well.
The villa is a nice 10 minute walk to the square and the stairs that take you to the marina. It is in a perfect location. If you have issues with stairs, this may not be the place for you. Other than that I would stay here every time I returned if I needed multiple bedrooms.
I am an owner of a travel agency so I critique places over the top. But it’s my job to put people in places I think they will love.
I loved this villa. Do not hesitate to stay here. I feel confident the issues we had will be resolved ASAP. Loved it!
