About this farm stay rental
Rustic, stylish finca with 3 bedrooms - 1 very large super king size with en-suite shower room, 1 twin bedroom, and 1 double with en-suite bathroom. Heated pool (gets to about 25 degrees from April onwards), very large terrace, landscaped gardens with stunning views. 10 mins drive from Competa where you'll find restaurants, bars, and shops. Beach 25 mins. 45 mins from airport. A fantastic base for a holiday at any time of year. Great for walking, cultural or beach holidays. Perfect for families, or groups of friends.
THE FINCA:
Finca Corral Noble is a beautifully restored, 200 year old Andalucian farmhouse full of rustic charm and character whilst also providing all the necessary modern amenities. It is 45 mins drive from the airport, easily approached down a short, well-maintained concrete drive and has private parking for several vehicles. The finca looks out onto a very large, secluded, walled courtyard boasting breathtaking panoramic views across The Almijara Sierra National Park. It has a covered jasmine and palm decked 'al fresco' dining area and an 8 x 4m heated pool. A natural canopy of shade is provided by a beautiful old carob tree believed to be as old as the finca itself. Inside and out the finca retains all its rustic charm including beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and a wood-burning stove/fireplace. The thick whitewashed wall interior is beautifully cool and tastefully furnished in Andalucian style. A stroll around the extensive garden provides other shady sitting spots and viewing areas and a chance to harvest ripening fruit.
AREA:
The finca lies on the border of the Sierra Almijara National Park in a spectacular and rugged mountain setting. A self-catering holiday at the finca can combine a peaceful mountain holiday stay with a 25 minute access to the popular beach resort of Nerja.
Nerja is a bustling cosmopolitan resort with bars restaurants and night-life to match (if you want it). The magnificent city of Granada and the world famous Alhambra Palace is only 1 hour 20 mins drive away. Malaga is 1 hour away - a wonderful city with much to offer. Seville, Cordoba, Ronda are all also within reach. There is much to do and explore also in the immediate vicinity of the finca too.
Competa lies just 3 km away. It is a magnificent white mountain village (pueblo blanco) known as 'The Pearl of the Axarquia'. It clings to the mountain side just as the other smaller villages nearby. It is a 'real' Spanish village and has all your holiday requirements: including a good selection of shops (fresh fish every day), bars, restaurants, a health centre, and dentist. We recommend having a cafe con leche in the square and 'people watching'!
Many people visit the Axarquia to walk, and we can highly recommend this as walkers ourselves. From all day treks high up in the mountains, to short rambles suitable for all ages and abilities - there is something for everyone when it comes to walking in the area. In the finca you will find plenty of walking books and printouts that you are welcome to use.
SUMMARY:
A holiday at the finca is suitable for you if you like getting away from it all but still having options for the beach or cultural days out. It is a private and relaxing place for young and old alike. The terrace is a safe area - the pool is not gated however so do take care and always watch youngsters. You will love the secluded terrace with its comfortable wooden steamers and the 'al fresco' dining and proper Weber charcoal BBQ.
If you like old characterful houses furnished with style, ideally located, with a peaceful terrace offering fabulous mountain views... then Finca Corral Noble is for you!

We had a beautiful stay at the Finca. The pool was absolutely perfect, with toys in the shed and lights the evening.
The roads up to the Finca are windy but manageable and there is nothing but hills and peace all around. There are local shops in Torrox and Nerja that have good opening hours.
Nicole was incredibly helpful and we can’t thank her enough.
Highly recommend!

Andalucian Escape
A charming finca with a stunning terrace and pool. The house is well-equipped and the friendly caretakers (Nicole and Kris) are moments away if needed.

Skøn finca i rolige omgivelser

Enjoyable stay
My husband, seventeen year old daughter and I, spent an enjoyable week at this finca. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and well equipped. The pool was lovely and also very clean. The caretakers Al and Tish were responsive when needed.

An excellent holiday at this beautiful finca!
We had a superb family holiday here and the finca was well worth the windy journey up into the mountains. The scenery is stunning and it was great to sit in garden and look out over the Spanish countryside. The finca was well equipped, beautifully and tastefully decorated and we especially liked the outside eating areas and pool which was just about warm enough in October! We plan to return next year!

Perfect :-)
We were in this beautiful old house for two weeks in July. The house is amazing, everything perfectly clean. The beds are very comfortable. There is everything you need in the kitchen. The pool is also great. You always find a shady place, there is also enough outdoor furniture. The organization beforehand was easy and nice. On-site Tish and Al take care of everything very well and are quickly available if you have questions or problems. We really enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend it.
