Welcome to the spacious Unit 12, a four-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse attractively adorned with white walls, cool pastels, local artwork and polished pine floors with comfortable furniture. The interior decor in your private Holmes Beach vacation rental is elegant, fresh and bright. Escape to your sprawling private deck with views of the Gulf and the stunning Anna Maria Island sunsets, as well as the sparkling pool. The additional balcony/terrace leads the way to Holmes Beach, just steps away from your door.
A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with marble counter tops, custom wood cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances will please chefs of all skill sets.
This three-bedroom suite can accommodate 6 guests comfortably with a maximum total of 10 guests. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom and a queen bed in the third bedroom. Everything about our stay at Mainsail was PERFECT! The 4 bedroom townhouse was gorgeous. The beds & pillows were like Hilton's (IYKYK). The beach was just steps away from our door. We hardly ever needed to drive anywhere. Mainsail provided comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas. The property manager was so welcoming and friendly and even assisted us with putting away our Instacart groceries order before we even landed in SRQ! Our experience was nothing short of PHENOMENAL! I couldn't have been more pleased. We were 7 adults...2 24 year olds, 4 55ish year olds, and my dad who is 96.

We’ve stayed at Mainsail 5 times, and we always leave feeling so satisfied and fulfilled. Our favorite unit is unit 12, and we were thrilled to see that the tv room downstairs was finally turned into a bedroom with a daybed! Our kids were thrilled they finally didn’t have to share a bedroom! The unit was overall clean and comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. We didn’t need any help from the staff, so we didn’t have any interactions with them. We never did get a text or email saying our unit was ready, and when we arrived a couple of hours early before checkin, we couldn’t find a staff member to talk to to see if we could enter our unit early. So, we tried our door code and got right in. We let ourselves in and found our checkin paperwork in the kitchen table, so I suppose our unit was actually ready. We were just never notified. My only complaint is about other guests who wouldn’t clean up after themselves at the pool and left the pool filled with floats and pool toys. Would have been nice if they cleaned up after themselves so we could enjoy the pool without their floats all in the pool. Maybe a sign outside would help remind guests to put away floats when they leave the pool. Also late night guest bbqs/parties (11:00/11:30 pm) at the pool were not so fun to listen to when we wanted to sleep.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! You are literally within steps of the Beach. Our adult sons played Spikeball on the Beach and sometimes walked to the Beach Cafe for breakfast. (That place is a bit of a walk …) We rented a golf cart for our stay which was so easy to maneuver for dinner reservations and activities. Would highly recommend this place again.

Beautiful view, nice staff. For large unit, there was not enough silverware or dishes. The rug at door was missing backing and part of backing was stuck to floor. Would be nice to have basket or something to put shoes in as so many owner's closets were locked. Towels were very stiff for bath towels. Cushions on deck were ripped in places. Could have used throw pillows or throw on couches. surprised at group parties at pool, wasn't expecting that.

The property is in a great location and the staff was extremely helpful. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and I would stay here again. I was disappointed with the location/view from unit 12. Unit 12 is a very nice unit with lots of space but the ocean view is lacking and not what I wanted for the price that we paid.

The townhouse was very nice with plenty of room for 6 adults. There was an extra day bed also. The unit was spotless. May only complaint was that I was not aware that there was one parking space per unit until the day before arrival. Additional spots were available 1 mile away which is very inconvenient, especially because we had a member of our group who just had foot surgery. That should be disclosed in the description of the unit on VRBO (maybe it was and I missed it but it certainly wasn't front and center and we likely would have reconsidered that unit had we known). I will say that Matthew tried to be very accommodating by letting us use a staff space which we were very grateful for.

The unit is even bigger than it appears or is described online! There was an extra room with a daybed that caught us by surprise. My famiy of 4 traveled with my 2 senior citizen parents, and there was more than enough space for all 6 of us. You simply cannot beat the location of this townhouse - steps to the pool and beach! The townhouse is beautifully decorated, and the balcony is a relaxing place to relax after a beach day. We love staying at Mainsail and plan to come back again for our 4th visit! *Suggestions for improvement:*More extra sheets/blankets, pillows, beach towels - we only found 1 extra set of bedding, and with kids, extras of everything are always needed.*The dryer did not dry laundry effectively each time. It took several cycles to dry loads of laundry. It may need to be serviced or replaced.*The dishwasher detergent dispenser did not release the pods during cycles. We had to just throw the pods in the bottom of the dishwasher to get things washed effectively. The dishwasher may need to be serviced or replaced.*Please make sure shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel bottles are full before guests arrive. Not all bottles were full, and we ran out before our week-long stay ended.*The den room on the bottom level would be even better if there was a full/queen bed or even 2 twin beds. It seems like a waste of a room with just the chairs. It would be a SUPER kids' room to sleep in!

A winter’s stay right on the beach
Celebrating and splurging for a special occasion, we didn’t mind the cold. This is old Florida — unhurried, restful and beautiful, just an hour from Tampa. Extra parking us available one mile away. Check out Beach Bistro just steps away for a delicious vegan meal (other fare available) easily worth the expense.

Beautiful space, so fun, but not fully accurate description
We loved the property! It was so close to the beach, had beautiful views, and was updated nicely! The only issues we had were with the cleaning and the description. We arrived 90 minutes after check in and it looked like it had been cleaned and then someone came in and made coffee and used the pans. The pans were all dirty and there was coffee grinds still in the coffee maker; also in the cabinets were old snacks and peanut butter smeared on a cabinet door. In the main bedroom bathroom, there were a bunch of towels shoved into the cabinet and we couldn't tell if they were dirty or clean. The listing does say there are basics in the kitchen and that it sleeps 8, but that's not accurate; there weren't enough coffee mugs for 7 adults, we had to buy paper plates because there weren't enough plates/bowls, and only 1 trash bag for the kitchen. It would be nice if they had spare pillows, towels, beach towels, and sheets in the house. There wasn't one spare blanket anywhere, so we had to keep contacting the property manager for everything (things arrived quickly when we did ask for them). The full bed could fit two children but definitely not two adults, so we were lucky that we brought an air mattress. There was enough room for everything for sure, but the description should probably be more accurate so guests can plan accordingly. I would love to stay here again though because the location couldn't be beat!
