Property was as advertised. Very functional. Our only complaint was a stain on the bed spread.

Little further than "1 minute" to beach unless you're driving, but a pleasant stay nonetheless.

We enjoyed our stay. We took advantage of the bicycle credit and rode all over the island and on the beach. We also went to the beach a few days easily within a few minutes walk or bike ride. We enjoyed meals at several places on the island and daily coffee at The Nest! Saw alligators deers and plenty of lizards, chipmunks and squirrels on the bike path. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. Would stay again-

We liked the shower, bed and the back patio and water feature in the lake. We did not like the fact that the online description was incorrect. It was not a 2 minute walk to the beach but a 6 minute walk and that was walking at a brisk pace and it said it had cable but it had only 6 channels and two of those were shopping channels. Those things were really misleading. That needs to be corrected in the online description. We would have not rented it if it had been put in the online ad.

Never been to Kiawah. West beach was a very convenient location. Property was adequate for our 2 day visit. Unfortunately, we spent more on owner, cleaning, administration, and registration fees than we did on the rental amount. All of the wait staff, caddies, pro shop and other staff were all extremely hard working and very friendly.
Love the look and feel of Kiawah but got fleeced by the prices at the various club house restaurants. The Player restaurant at Cougar Club charged $28 for a small grilled fish sandwich and French fries. A less than delicious hamburger was $24. They also charged $95 for a grocery store ($17) bottle of wine. The quality of the food and wine was not comparable to the prices charged. We will come back to Kiawah but will eat out less.

Great location for trips on and off the island. Just the right size for me and two teens. Fully equipped with everything we needed. The bike rentals were really nice. The mattresses on the bed and pull out couch could be updated. Thanks a lot!!

Neat and clean. Kitchen faucet did not always work right. Frig gave us warning tones. Had to reset temp. Bathroom doorstop broken. No instructions for washing machine. Many cobwebs in porch area. Those could easily be swept down, but look like they were there for a long time

We had a lovely stay. The condo is small, but nice. It needs a few updates and instructions on how to use things would have been helpful. We had trouble turning on the shower, the dryer, and the TV. The sink caved in on our last night, but the agency was very sorry and offered to move us. A walking map to the beach would have been nice to have, although the one provided by the leasing agency was somewhat helpful. (Think of details when developing such instructions.) The agency was very pleasant and helpful throughout.

This property was the perfect haven for a getaway. Just a short walk to the beach. The voucher for bikes was wonderful and the property is right on a bike trail. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Loved the place, cool screened in deck, nicely decorated, kitchen well equipped, with all the windows, the place felt spacious. We used the equipment credit and greatly enjoyed all the trails biking our entire stay!

Last minute plans for Spring Break and first time to Kiawah. The condo was on the smaller side (to be excepted from listing description) but it was the perfect size for 2 adults and 1 child. The location was a very short walk to the beach, short bike ride to other activities and a short drive to the Freshfields Market area for shopping, dining and groceries. We rented bikes and beach chairs which worked out well. The reservation process was easy and check-in procedure was communicated well. Would stay here again.

The rental was very well executed. Lack of cooking vessels were a problem.

The strong chemical odor required us to open the slider and keep the fan on for two days straight to get the smell out. Although the smell was a cleaning product, the floors were not swept well. Prior reviews reported a musty smell and indicated it went away after turning on the AC. We experienced that as well but the musty smell did not go away. The shower controls were not easy to use. The refrigerator would not make ice. The tv channel selections were horrible. We would not rent this place again.

This was a last minute trip and we were delighted to have found it. The only complaint I have is that there was a musty smell to the place when we first arrived, but turning on the air conditioner and allowing some air to pass through the home got rid of that pretty quickly. The management group was very responsive to our questions and problems. Namely, we couldn't figure out how to operate the shower. No water would come out no matter what way we turned the handle. Some one was sent out early the next day and they were very gracious in telling us that all we needed to do is pull the handle. So embarrassing, but they were very gracious. You'll have all you need for a stay. There is not any storage that we could find in the kitchen, which was fine because most of our food items needed to be refrigerated, but just know that a ton of groceries that need to go in cabinets will not fit. The location of the unit was perfect to get to the store or the beach. My husband took advantage of renting bicycles, which I thought was going to be a waste of money, but we really enjoyed them and I'm so glad we did. I haven't ridden a bike in over 15 years, but it was fun to ride down the beach and all the bike paths are well tended and safe.
Although there were people staying around us with dogs, we hardly heard them from in our unit, only if they were outside and barking at something. We would stay again.

This place was perfect for a week at the beach! Less than a 5 minute walk to the water and very clean and cozy. The washer/dryer was so convenient to have and the screened in porch was perfect to have as well!

It was a great spot to stay and would’ve given it five stars on all accounts except there was construction going on right outside the unit and we weren’t aware that this was going to happen. I’m pretty sure the owners didn’t know it was going to happen either. Otherwise great spot to stay

My husband and I booked this condo for a long weekend at Kiawah. We have stayed at Kiawah many times, and this like all the others, was a great getaway for biking and beaching. The condo has plenty of items to cook with (although we only used the toaster). The outdoor patio is nice for coffee in the morning. The furniture has been updated and includes a new solid color couch. The condo was clean, except for the kitchen sponge, and had everything we needed including beach towels and a washer/dryer.

Lovely property with location so close to the beach. My husband and I stayed here with one teen. It had everything we needed. Gear credit was a nice perk! I would stay again. Thanks!

Property had everything one would need for a time away from home! Biking is awesome around the island and this condo is a stone’s throw from the beach.

Reviewer Comments:
This condo was a disaster from the beginning of our stay. The place was not cleaned properly (not even close). The floor was filthy. The bathroom was not clean. There was dirt on many of the items in the condo (sinks, appliances, floor, bathroom, throw rugs, TV, stove). The appliances had issues - frig needed a tech to look at it to adjust; coffee maker had a mismatched pot so it did not work; dryer was slow (likely needs vent maintenance); the porch and front door area had cobwebs all over (no recent cleaning or maintenance); the enclosed porch was dirty and screen needs to be replaced. The curtains were dirty. Overall, the condo was not properly cleaned or presented. We needed to do our own cleaning. Then came the black flies (continuously). We killed over 70 of them before we gave up & left as this condo was now a health issue. The flies just kept showing up and there was no resolution to this so we left about 1/2 way through the three weeks. 13/21 (62%) of our money was returned and quite frankly the whole experience was miserable and the remaining money should be returned. Akers Ellis was empathetic near the end but no solution could save this place. The owner should be ashamed of this place as well as Akers Ellis. Hard to believe that during Covid, a condo could be this filthy. We used another smaller rental company in 2020 and that place was immaculate. Overall, this was a complete disaster and the remaining monies paid should be refunded to formally wipe out this miserable experience. In 30+ years of business and pleasure travel, I almost never have had an issue but this stands out as the worst experience we have ever had. We would appreciate a full refund of remaining monies paid to Akers Ellis of $2166.56. Also, the reviews and pictures on line presented a false appearance. I have never wrote a bad review. This is the first and it saddens me to write this. Regards, Phil V.

The unit was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The location was easy to find, and convenient to places of interest on the island. The garden view from the veranda was a lovely setting for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The non-stick frypans are over-worn and need to be replaced. Other than that easily remedied complaint, I have nothing but praise for this lodging and its location.

The unit was generally clean but the housekeepers need to pay more attention. One side table had a sticky substance on it. A pillowcase was noticeably stained. The lack of a Keurig was surprising, but we made do.

Rating Details:The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty.I was very happy with the location.I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.Reviewer Comments:I spent an hour cleaning just to move in to sleep on the sofa. I then had to have cleaners come two times within the first four days of my stay before the bedroom was clean enough to sleep in. Curtains remained filthy and falling off the track. Mold on the refrigerator gasket and dried food in the shelf. Also a dirty oven. Cleaning tools were even dirty. Lots of dishes to choose from but most of the coffee mugs were dirty and there was no place to put food. Very odd situation with lots of furniture and decor but no place to put anything including coffee or side tables. So much clutter for people who don’t like to dust and clean. Couldn’t stream TV because the homeowner hadn’t updated equipment which is free because their cable box told me so! Akers Ellis tried their best. The homeowner needs to get in it.
