From the time you arrive you will be greeted with the WOW factor, a totally refurbished property with an extensive deck which overlooks the most stunning water views. Relax on the deck and watch tall ships, yachts, dolphins and (if you're lucky) orcas make their way up and down the channel in front of the house.
This property has been totally renovated with a new kitchen; extended living area; enlarged deck; new en-suite and walk in wardrobe; interior decorating and the list goes on and on. The large master bedroom has panoramic views with a newly renovated en-suite and walk-in wardrobe. It also has plenty of room for a travel cot and other baby paraphernalia if required.
The multimedia system is comprehensive and there is a Blue-Ray/DVD player should you wish to bring disks with you - a small selection of movies is available as well.
Paihia townsfolk are famous for their friendly and welcoming character. The town is a 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) from the house and all its amenities and restaurants are there to explore.
It is the perfect holiday home this "Ahuru Mowai" - a comfortable relaxing haven. The ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Bay of Islands and beyond.

Please advise if you have very small children (toddlers) or babies so we can help you secure the deck and organise a portacot to be made available.
Parking for 2 cars only - other vehicles will need to park on Veronica Street roadside.
Please leave the house clean and tidy, a $100 cleaning fee is chargeable should the property be left in a particularly untidy state.
We do not charge a bond - however we will require an imprint of a valid credit card on arrival.

Communications from our hosts were excellent right from the start. I had some issues receiving notifications via the Stayz app once I was in New Zealand (possibly due to my international telco delays and possibly due to me being a little tech un-savvy), but our hosts were very accommodating. The comprehensive welcome pack was provided upon booking, with a copy also at the house which was convenient. The large kitchen was well appointed with appliances/utensils for cooking as well as a great range of herbs. The house is very spacious, providing ample room for us (two couples). The views across the bay are nothing short of spectacular at any time of the day, but especially breath taking with the moon shining down over the sea. We were blessed with lovely sunny days but a stay at this home would still be a special experience even on wintery, wet days. The convenient location is approx 30min walk on a dedicated footpath into the village centre, but also far enough away for privacy. It is a stunning, quality home but we were made to feel at home. The only downside is that we should have allowed in our itinerary for a longer stay!

Such a beautiful place, fabulous accommodation with a spectacular view. Plenty of living space and private sleeping spaces, especially the ensuite upstairs. Would highly recommend the property and the service.

The property really lived up to its photos and listing. The views are amazing and the location perfect to enjoy the best of the Bay of Islands. We had a multi-generation family trip and the house worked very well for everyone. The hosts were great and their communication was quick and friendly. We ran out of BBQ gas and Gavin sorted it out very quickly and with no fuss - great service! We highly recommend Veronica Views.

Lovely home with a spectacular outlook. Clean, well equipped, nice and quiet, felt homely and beautiful location just a few mins walk or drive into Paihia town centre. We will be back!

Our stay was perfect. My parents (80), my sons (19 & 21), and my husband and I all had an incredible time. We were able to walk to town to enjoy a few incredible restaurants as well as watch the fireworks on New Year's Eve from the deck. Sitting on the deck was magical!

Me and my family had a wonderful stay here over christmas. The accomadation is stunning and well equiped. Location is even better no matter rain or sunshine. Owners were easy to contact and on hand if needed. Great Holiday

Wonderful house to use as a gateway to the attractions of the Bay of Islands. Easy walk in to town, and very close to waitinga. My wife and I stayed in every night so that we could enjoy the deck and just watch the world go by on the inlet below. House was very well stocked with everything we needed and Gavin was very responsive. We really liked the suggestions that were provided on what to check out on the drive up from Aukland. Would highly recommend

A very enjoyable stay. Even though the weather was wet we still had lovely meals out and the view from the accommodation was beautiful.

Gorgeous views! The welcome basket of goodies was so appreciated . These hosts care about their guests! Apparently there was a remnant below but you would never have known . The space is amazing with breathtaking views and a fully equipped kitchen : response was immediate from owners making for a lovely relaxing stay ! Would come back in a heart beat!

Veronica view is ideally situated on a hillside close to Paihia with views of marinas and leisure boat traffic in the distance and only a few minutes from the ferry to Russell. Enjoying the sunrise is a must do from the east facing deck and in the evening take time to enjoy the stars. If you enjoy hiking you can even walk to or from Paihia along the shore in low tide. The kitchen is well equipped with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and amenities were good. Spacious and well maintained the home was quite comfortable for two couples. The hosts were very responsive to questions in advance to help our travel planning. We would certainly recommend Veronica view for stays in the Paihia area.

As a group of 5 we had a great stay. The location was fabulous and to have a washer/dryer combo to catch up on some laundry after traveling for almost 2 weeks was such a bonus.

What a brilliant place to stay! Gavin & Anita have created a perfect place to stay in the Bay of Islands. The house is spacious, beautifully renovated and has the most spectacular views. Photos do not do it justice. It is also very private and well-appointed. We stayed 5 nights and wished for more.
Our visit coincided with the aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle and we were most grateful for regular updates and travel advice from our switched-on hosts.
If you have a car, this is definitely the place to stay

A well-equipped house in a quiet location, with a stunning view of the bay from every room. The large deck added so much extra space for outdoor cooking and dining. Excellent communication from the owner made arriving and departing easy. Highly recommend.

What a stunning property! The weather was terrible, so terrible we didn't even get out on to the amazing deck! But the inside of the property was so beautiful it didn't matter. Loads of space, but still felt cozy. 3 generations of our family stayed and everyone agreed it's one of our favourite places! Thanks for having us :)

Doing Paihia in style. The view from the lounge room is so stunning, you may not want to do anything else! There were a few minor maintenance faults but nothing that stops you enjoying this lovely property. Beds are comfortable, shower water pressure is good, the kitchen is well-equipped and there is a beautiful gas fireplace if it’s cold. If there’s sunshine, you can soak it up on the large deck.
The property is only minutes from restaurants, shops and the ferry to Russell. Gavin and Anita provide you with oodles of information and respond almost immediately to messages. The welcome basket of goodies was also a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately we were at the end of our trip but could have quite happily stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious and well designed home! A wonderful deck, open floor plan and plenty of sleeping room made for a great stay. We probably didn't see as much of the Bay of Islands because we didnt want to leave the house. Thanks to Gav and Anita.

We spent 10 days at this property in May. It is a great location for hiking or sightseeing around the Bay of Islands area. It is a comfortable 10-15 minute walk into the town of Paihia. Communication with Gavin was always quick and easy. The only slight difficulty we had was with the parking. The parking space is perfectly adequate for an average size vehicle, but unfortunately we were upgraded by Hertz to a very large SUV which was a bit of a challenge in terms of getting back out of the space. In the end we parked in the street, which is safe and easy as the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac. We would recommend this property without hesitation.
