You might think that the rooms are not too roomy but actually it is considering the prime location of this property. So much about Boston is just steps away from here. We, I and my family with teens really enjoyed the stay. Only regret is that we couldn't visit all places we could.

Comfortable, two story apartment in the heart of Boston. Easy access to Beacon Hill, the Boston Commons, the Northend, downtown, Back Bay and the Italian neighborhood. Two comfortable King beds and two nicely appointed bathrooms, as well as a cozy common space, allowed 4 friends to share this space comfortably for 10 days. The Manager, Ben, was very responsive to our communications. We suggested a few things to make it even better for the future like mirrors in the bedrooms and a makeup cabinet in the upstairs bathroom. It is a three floor walk up but the stairs and older building are charming.
All 4 of us would highly recommend this historic but nicely updated Boston city apartment.

Family weekend getaway
Location of property was very accommodating, my spouse and I and our two boys with the dog spent the weekend in Boston.
Great shops and we attended a Bruins hockey game . Perfect accommodations for the entire family . Host was very helpful

Holiday get away
Very nice apartment. Very comfortable and super clean. Wonderful location and very quiet. Rental price is fair but when the cleaning fee and other fees are added gets a bit pricey.

Fantastic place
Beautiful apartment in a wonderful location, particularly around Halloween. The homes in the area go all out in decorations. Very clean, well appointed. Only warning would be to those with mobility issues. Streets and sidewalks of Beacon Hill can be a challenge to navigate and this is a walk up apartment.

Beautiful + Close to everything
Thanks for an amazing experience. Lara was very responsive which made for a great stay. The place was perfect for our needs and the location is suburb. 10 minute walk to Boston Commons and just a few blocks away from incredible restaurants. We'd love to stay here when we come back.

Great
What was most special about this property was the fabulous location on Historic Beacon Hill and being one block off of Charles Street, which has restaurants, coffee shops, wine shops, shopping and a couple small grocery stores. A Whole Foods is nearby as is a CVS. It’s also centrally located near historic sites and parks.
The accommodations and amenities are comfortable and clean. Nice kitchen and washer/dryer. The 2 king beds were comfortable. According to our teenage daughter the “sleeper” futon in the family room was “not great.”
We enjoyed our stay at this property

Great location and great place!
Loved the apartment. The concerns in the other reviews about the air conditioning are overblown. The place was great. It was cool enough during the record heat this summer.

Amazing Location
There isn't a better location than Beacon Hill. There are great restaurants everywhere. We were glad we chose this place.

Good location but overhyped accomodation
A good location in Beacon Hill. However, this property was overhyped as being "swanky". No view. It does not sleep more than four comfortably. Also, if it is warm out the window air conditioning does not do an adequate job for this unit. Very tiny stairs to access two small floors of living space.

Great location, easy to check in - apartment is HOT on warm days
Great location and easy to check in. The upper level gets VERY HOT on warm days. Top floor is similar to a converted attic that is difficult to keep cool. After we complained, the owners texted “there are a few days each summer the top floor can’t be cooled enough for some”.
We notified the owners our first morning in the apartment of issues with the A/C. It was unseasonably hot when we came in May (88 degrees). The upper level was equipped with a portable A/C unit and exhaust pipe that connected to a window. The exhaust pipe would not stay connected to the window. They agreed to send tape the same day to connect the exhaust pipe to the window and it did not arrive till late the next day. We purchased tape to keep the apartment “cool” while waiting for the tape they ordered.
When trouble shooting this A/C issue, they realized that the second A/C unit on the upper level was never installed for the summer season as shown in pictures. Temperatures continued to rise inside on the upper level to 85 -87 degrees daily. In text exchanges, the owners stated “We manage very historic buildings and things go wrong. We do our best to react quickly.” They also stated that they cannot control the weather. If they realized that there is a missing A/C unit on unseasonably hot days, it would be worthwhile to find the missing A/C unit and install it ASAP given how much they charge. The top floor is a large space so 2 A/C units are needed. .
We asked for a partial refund and they offered us $250 to not review the apartment on VRBO. It was no enough to compensate us for the inconvenience. I have pictures of 79-87 degree thermostat readings throughout our stay as documentation.
I typically write positive reviews – this is the harshest review I have written.

Easter stay
My daughter is finishing culinary school and doing her Internship at The Tasting Counter in Somerville and was not able to come home for Easter so we traveled to Boston for four days with her. Our family of four really enjoyed our stay. Very quaint apartment in a perfect location. I highly recommend this apartment. And if anyone is a foodie I also recommend The Tasting Counter.

Can’t beat Beacon Hill location
Rented for 2 nights with my daughter and her friend while on Boston college visits. Location within the city is perfect...we walked to multiple restaurants (in Beacon Hill and Back Bay) and the historic sites. The T is also a very short walk away at the MGH station. Finally, it’s a short couple blocks to the walking/running trails along the river that we took full advantage of since we benefitted from unseasonably great March weather.
The condo itself is nicely renovated on the top floors of a very old row house building. The stairs take a bit to navigate but certainly manageable. Two nicely sized bedrooms on first level, with open floor plan on second level “loft.” Kitchen was nice, although we were out and about so much that we didn’t really use it.
This is a great alternative to a hotel, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Loved the location and apartment. There was some problems with wifi staying connected to TV (never got cable to work). Other than that had a great stay!

Thanksgiving in Boston
We had a wonderful time in beautiful Boston over Thanksgiving! The apartment was so nice and the location was great - really beautiful area! We would absolutely rent it again - but would love to see rugs in the bedrooms (bit cold) and MORE bath mats - had to use towels. The kitchen/living area is SO cozy and comfortable! Thanks so much!

Ordinary Property Misrepresented as "Luxury Penthouse" Disappointing Stay-
Not a Penthouse - it’s an Attic Apartment/3 Story Walk-Up. The stairs are precarious and dangerously narrow/steep while bringing suitcases up or down.
~Bathrooms have small, brown, scratchy and stained bath towels - exactly one issued per person.
~Bedroom mattresses are poor quality, very soft with no support whatsoever
~The outside entry light was not functioning in the dark alley entrance during our entire three night stay. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to operate the door’s code pad in the dark.
~We had originally booked for 4 persons, but after we arrived, we contacted the owners to ask about adding two family members for our final night’s stay. For an additional cost, we were provided an inflatable mattress (which had a hole in it) and directed to the sofa/futon. They did remedy the broken air mattress, but these sleeping arrangements most certainly do NOT reflect the property description of “Luxury Penthouse” / “Sleeps 6” !
~On day two, we returned to the property to find that the door codes had been changed? Finding ourselves locked out, without any notice, we had to contact the owner again. They said that they "just periodically change them"... In the MIDDLE of a guests stay? Without notice!?!
~The owner had agreed to allow us to store our bags for a few hours after checkout, but once again, by checkout time, they changed the door codes. After contacting them and being told the new code would be provided, we waited outside for awhile, then waited inside the apartment for instructions . Next call we receive is from the owner yelling that “YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THE APARTMENT NOW!!!” and that they were "only extending a courtesy" and that they were not to be “available at our beck and call.” Perhaps they shouldn’t “extend the courtesy” in the first place if they are not able or willing to provide it.
~As the situation devolved, it felt like the owners were becoming increasingly agitated in trying to manage their property from afar. The lack of an local manager was unfortunate and, again, not reflective of a high end property.
~Though this property has a very appealing location, there were just too many disconnects and misrepresentations. We would have describe our experience at this property as negative, frustrating and disappointing.

Great location!
Quiet, charming and great neighborhood location. Not comparable to a luxury hotel nor should it be. Apples vs. oranges.
We chose this over a hotel because we were traveling with others and wanted more of a home vs room, shared gathering space, kitchen, w/d, and a great walkable neighborhood. We wanted home comforts, character and local/neighborhood amenities over luxury hotel rooms and property amenities. We wanted to stay like locals, not tourists.
The unit itself is tastefully renovated and decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. It is the third and fourth floors of an old, walk-up brownstone (note: narrow stairways/hallways and apartment doorway). Lots of character here. The first level is two bedrooms with TVs and closets, and a bathroom. The second level is an open concept living/dining/kitchen space with w/d and a second bathroom.
The host was so easy to communicate with and responsive, and left useful information about the area. Self check in/check out could not have been simpler.
The location in Beacon Hill is great. Very walkable area with a great retail and restaurant scene. Close to the T when ready to explore beyond Beacon Hill. We enjoyed shopping in Back Bay.
I would stay here again, and recommend to anyone looking for a local experience in a great location with a responsive host.

Perfect for our family !!!
Fantastic place for our family of 5!!!! The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, a grocery store down the street, and accommodations were perfect.
We are from Texas so we’re concerned about AC, but all the units worked extremely well. Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts and bathrooms well-equipped.
Loved it !

Amazing apartment in the Best Neighborhood!
What an amazing apartment! We had a perfect stay. The apartment is the nicest I have ever seen in Boston. It is huge, luxurious, gorgeous, and completely comfortable. The host thought of everything. Our stay was tremendous. The beds are so comfortable, for the first time in a decade, I slept in. The street is out of a magazine. Everything is new and pretty - very tasteful. I would love to have the same designer do my house. The host provided terrific service on recommending restaurants - we got all the local favorites. It was so charming, so high end, and so detailed. It made our trip to stay here. The location is top notch - I doubt there is anything better in the whole city. Everything was steps from our feet and I could tell this was the wealthy street of the most wealthy neighborhood in Boston. We absolutely loved this place, the photos don't do it justice. It is better. Huge recommend and we will be back every summer.

Drop Dead Stunning Apartment!
Absolutely flawless! From start to finish everything was perfection. The apartment is gorgeous! It is all brand new and decorated with elegant touches and high end design. The kitchen and bathrooms are stunning and modern. It was like staying at the Ritz and having the whole floor. The space is enormous and sunny. The location is arguably the best in Boston. Every luxury is in this apartment. The bedding and linens are divine. There were plush towels and toiletries. The host was gracious and helpful - she gave us great recommendations for restaurants and imparted her local knowledge. I can't imagine a better stay - I'm ruined for all others! So grateful to have had this amazing Boston experience.

Not a 5 Star apartment!
Communication was good after I booked a last minute rental for an extended weekend 3 night trip. They provided self check in instruction which worked well. Upon arrival, there was a worked frantically trying to repair and clean the unit. He said he would clear out within the hour. We arrived around 10:00pm. Owner said there was damage from the previous rental which was not accurate. It was clearly a water leak from the window and they didn’t get the repair done as quickly as they had hoped in between rentals. So the apartment was very dusty with drywall dust and debris. I cleaned the floors myself the following morning because things were sticking to my feet. She offered to send a cleaner but we declined because we had already done it and didn’t want interruptions for our
Short stay. AdditionallyX the repair
Was anything but. It was bad. Couple thoughts on the property: as the previous review states, if you have any mobility issues, this is not the right unit for you. The stairway leading up to the 3/4th floor is extremely narrow and steep. Carrying luggage up them was a challenge and I have no mobility issues. Both toilets have soft close seats that won’t stay up. Basically ready to fall off the toilets because they are so loose. They need tightened and adjusted. 4 total towels in the whole unit for 3 nights. Ended up washing towels and wash clothes. Breaker keep blowing upstairs when I turned on the air conditioning unit. Didn’t cool well in the upstairs living area. Overall, for the price we paid, this was not even close to 5 star. Additionally, if the owner wants to represent it as 5 star, she should provide 5 star service to their guests. I suggested we receive the cleaning fee and one night comped because the apartment was in disrepair and she basically said no way and that it wasn’t the same as a hotel room and she couldn’t control what Halle Ed in the previous rental and that I should feel lucky we got it at an already discounted rate because they were “gap
dates” in between other rentals. Funny thing is I paid the full price that was advertised. Nonetheless, I would suggest looking elsewhere and moving along. Not 5 star space or service.

Not close to the luxury penthouse as advertised
Overall - had a terrible stay where we left after 2 nights with 2 nights left on the reservation. The owner was not willing to accommodate our level of discomfort so overall a bad experience.
In terms of the actual unit, the place requires you to haul up your luggage up some very steep and possibly dangerous stairs. The unit itself is NOT a penthouse but more like a 2 bedroom with an attic. Conditions-wise it was more like staying at the YMCA than a luxury unit for the amount they charged per night. The beds have no support so our backs ached, and the kitchen is NOT well stocked and does not have basic cooking needs nor amenities.
One of the largest complaints is that the unit runs extremely hot in the summer and the owner had put in a small floor unit that requires the window to be open in order to vent outside - but the window is not insulated at all so the unit never cools down and is unbearably hot so that we could not sleep.
Overall a very uncomfortable experience and we felt was misrepresented in terms of the listing and what we experienced.

Flawless - from start to finish the Four Seasons but Better!
This is the most beautiful apartment I have ever stayed while traveling - ever! I travel only five star - its the Ritz, the Four Seasons, Mandarin or the super exclusive boutiques for me only. And this apartment beats all them all. It is stunning, in every way, just stunning. It is on the most beautiful quiet and private street I have ever seen. It felt like it must be the street the famous Boston families like the Kennedys live on. I don't know who lives there - but that is certainly what it feels like. It is very very exclusive. The apartment is huge - has luxury furnishings, brand new gorgeous ktichen and five star bathrooms - so beautiful and lovely. I want this designer! Someone took infinite care to make this this most elegant and stunning space. There are gorgeous touches everywhere. Mosaic tiles - cast iron tub - everything high quality. It is sunny, modern and all while in the heart of the oldest neighborhood in the country. If that wasn't enough you step out of your door and feel like you can almost feel Paul Revere making plans. It is authentic and real. The magic of this neighborhood and this space simply cannot be beat. I will be back to stay every trip to Boston.
