Altogether a great stay. Nice house, well equipped. I'd given 4.5 stars if I could. There were a couple of drawbacks, relatively minor, but I'm someone who feels 5 stars is for a perfect experience. The manager was very responsive to our one outreach. The community center was an excellent place to relax and burn some additional energy after snow activities.

This home was great, we had 6 people stay comfortably! It was a very cozy home and very close to Northstar where we skied and snowboarded. Enjoyed watching 3 feet of snow fall while sitting by the fireplace watching TV and playing cards.

We truly loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It was worth every penny! We loved how open spacious it was and loved the big windows and high ceilings! The inside was nice & clean! Very comfortable beds as well, we enjoyed staying there & the kitchen was fully equipped we cooked there every night we stayed there. The rec center was perfect & there was ice skating at the Northstar as well we took our family & we all enjoyed it as well. Everything was close by & we didn’t have a hard time with anything. The owner was responsive as well when I had a question. Overall I would come back as I already had recommended it to my family & friends & so many asked about it as I posted pictures it was breathtaking!
4.7
The cabin was in a great location and had lots of open space on the main level. Loved the back deck and the spacious front deck.
4.7
A really great cabin, fully stocked with amenities and supplies, in a beautiful setting. Arriving here is like stepping into your family cabin, decorated with art and whimsy over the years; casual in style with comfortable furniture. It was fully stocked with paper products, cleaning supplies, and personal care items - not just the thin starter roll or single packet of dishwasher detergent. The kitchen had quality appliances, pots and pans of all shapes and sizes, and enough glasses and dishes for an army. The Owners clearly want you to feel at home here, and have worked hard to ensure that you do.
We spent a great deal of time out on the front deck outfitted with comfy cushions and pillows to take advantage of the setting, a perfect place for morning coffee. A note of caution for those who are more experienced in life (older), the cabin has several short sets of stairs (4 to 8) steps between some levels. This was not an issue for our gimpy ones, but the set between the entry level and the main living area were shallow and our big feet were no match. This was not a problem going up, but attention must be paid on the way down - we mastered the descent within a day or two. This should not deter you from staying here, we loved our stay and will most certainly rent again!

The cabin was pleasant, and as described. The location was great. North Star resort is our go to area in Truckee. The kitchen was great, and was stocked with everything necessary to cook for our group. The only issues we found, were the beds. They were not comfortable. Highly uneven mattresses in multiple rooms. That is a big deal for me. Unless that was something that was updated in the future on the property, I would not stay here again for that reason alone. Also, I know that there are many cabins that don’t have central AC because it normally doesn’t get that hot, or at the very least the temps drop enough at night for the outside air to cool you off if you open the windows. However, it does get hot during the summer and it gets very warm inside the home. Especially on the second floor. There are standing portable fans in pretty much every room, except the living area. It was too hot for our taste. The only relief we got was being away on the water. This is something we will be sure to look for on other listings before booking. Otherwise it was mostly pleasant and the property manager was readily available, and answered us when contacted.

Beautiful mountain escape with great gathering space in kitchen, living room and porch in front and back. Nicely decorated and perfect location between Truckee and the lake. Only reason not giving 5 stars is because some appliances didn't work well. But would definitely stay here again.

The owner was so kind and quick to take care of a heating issue we had on our first night, the property itself was gorgeously furnished and decorated with a wonderful kitchen for a chef or two, and decks for our small children to play on while we were getting dinner prepared. The property has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, all with many amenities and items we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked with spices and utensils for cooking, which was very convenient. The front and back yards were also great for our kids to experience snow days. Would love to stay here again!

Our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) had a fantastic time over Labor Day weekend. The place was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed spending time on the deck. The free shuttle to Northstar village and the community center amenities were awesome. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I am giving the cabin 4 stars because of the road noise coming from the main road into Northstar. I wished we had known about it. The noise was enough that we didn't feel we could use the back deck, and it was distracting when sleeping with the windows open at night. It did calm down during the week, but it was still there. I know no one else mentions it, and its probably not an issue in the winter, but in the heat of summer, we really heard it. The other thing we noticed is that the steps onto the main level of the cabin are a little steep, and might be a challenge to an older person or someone with larger feet/shoes.
Otherwise, the cabin is just as pictured; the library is great; the front deck was amazing; it was easy to get in touch with management; the beds and linens were comfy; it was well stocked (including fans which we needed because the weather was hot and smoky!); it was super easy to get to the rec center and village; our boys ages 11 and 7 loved it; and the cabin did provide that old school yet modern mountain cabin feel.

We hiked, went to the lake, lounged at the pool, played golf and enjoyed our house, especially the beautiful decks. Loved the fast shuttle service! Natalie was terrific and answered questions quickly. We’ll be back!

We loved the communal areas on the two decks. The rec center exceeded expectations and the owners were very attentive and accommodating.

Beautiful, Unique, Well Stocked
This cabin is absolutely lovely and has a unique and welcoming interior that made it even more fun to stay here. The deck was comfortable and an amazing place to relax and look at the stars. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and cookware and a second deck off the kitchen was a great place to eat or look at the trees and paint. The owners also have a wonderful book collection on a very interesting shelving system made of blocks. It was clear that the owners are creative interesting people and that added a lot to the feeling of the place. Very welcoming. Highly recommend!

This cabin was perfect for our multi family stay. There is enough room to spread out and be comfortable. The decorating made it feel so welcoming and it was evident that thought and time went in to every detail. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer. The only reason for 4 stars is that there was not a jacuzzi at the cabin.

We had a great stay! The owner and property manager were very nice and helpful. The place comes with many amenities. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house in Northstar
I stayed here with 7 friends in August. The house was perfect, just as pictured, in a beautiful location in Northstar. Communication was easy throughout. Highly recommend.
4.7
Lovely and comfortable
The layout of the house and it's proximity to the village are perfect. Bathrooms toilets could be replaced and housekeeping can use more elbow grease in their cleaning. House and bedrooms comfy.
4.7
A perfect experience, a welcoming home and host!
Wow! Wow! Wow! This place is great. Not only well appointed with all the luxury necessities, but very cozy and stylish. The room layout leads to the ability to gather as a family and the bedroom layouts allow for quite time when needed. It's a cook's kitchen and great place to gather as a group of friends and family. It's a home away from home. Thank you for sharing it with us. We'll certainly be back.
4.7
All the comforts of home and more
Beautiful, well-maintained, comfortable home with everything you could want for a fabulous stay in the snow, or any time of year, and its convenience to skiing is hard to beat - a great place to enjoy the great outdoors.
4.7
Chic and cozy Tahoe cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the comfortable Beaver Pond residence in late September. The house was roomy and nicely decorated. We especially loved the expansive decks on either side of the living area. The upstairs master was very comfortable and the downstairs master was nice as well. The other bedrooms were much smaller. There were plenty of bathrooms in the house - no need to wait! The proximity to Northstar was great, as was access to the NPOA facility - if you stay in this house you must visit the NPOA rec center - terrific pools, spas, and activities for the whole family. Our only complaints about the house were this: 1) the house was a little dusty, especially window sills and shelves, 2) the evolve listing claimed the property has a Pack n Play which it doesn't and when the local rep was called the issue was never resolved. On the whole the property was great and we really enjoyed our stay!
4.7
Great location and wonderful house for family and friends
We spent the week with family at Tahoe. Truckee is a fun location with good restaurants and lots to do. Lake Tahoe is a short drive and there are several places to rent boats. The village and Rec center at Northstar are worth visiting for swimming, hiking, restaurants and shopping. We'll be back next year !!
4.7
Beautiful cabin, great location, and nice amenities.
We rented the cabin for our annual family vacation. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed with the asthetics of the cabin and the warm, personal touches. The cabin is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood which is easily accessible and walking distance from Northstar Village. We cook most of our family meals so we were very happy with the well-equipped kitchen. The living space is very comfortable for a large group. We enjoyed watching movies on the large flat screen TV and drinks on the deck at sunset. The cabin is centrally located to trails and beaches and only a one hour drive from South Shore. The contact person during our stay provided prompt and excellent customer service. We would definitely rent the cabin again.
4.7
Disappointed
The home was pretty much as described and spacious with a good location. We had occasion to call the contact person twice and her English speaking and comprehension was. very poor. She never called us back as promised, the place could have been cleaner. When removing the downstairs master bedroom sheets, it was noted to have blood on the mattress pad that did not come from our family. For the cleaning fee we paid, we should have been able to leave the clean dishes in dishwasher.
4.7
Beautiful cabin, convenient location right in Northstar
I've been coming to Tahoe for the 4th of July for the past few years, and this rental has been my favorite of them all. The cabin is beautiful, expansive, warmly decorated, and just feels homey. The four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms make it ideal for groups, and we all loved hanging out on the patio for grilling (there are tables to eat outdoors as well), cooking together in the kitchen, and playing board games in the living room. The appliances were all very new and the kitchen was fully stocked with silverware/cooking utensils/pots/pans.
Could not have asked for a better cabin! We ever made use of the Northstar rec center and hiked closeby.
4.7
Beautiful cabin!
This was a gorgeous cabin, well maintained and so thoughtfully decorated. We used the front and back porches daily and the rec center was a great surprise- hours of entertainment. The owner sent a personal welcome and was very responsive to a few questions that came up during our visit- I would recommend to anyone and will be back!
4.7
Very Comfortable Vacaction
Rented this home for the weekend to host some friends and their children. Well appointed, amazing coffee/espresso machine, quirky and chic decor, perfect location! Plenty of room for a group and the downstairs bedrooms stayed quiet. Would book again!

Lovely Fourth of July in the Heart of NorthStar!
We stayed here as two families with four children under the age of 5. While I wouldn't normally recommend anyone vacation with that many little children - especially in a home as luxe as this one - the set up was perfect for us to enjoy a lovely long weekend over Fourth of July. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, emailing us right before the trip and responsive to our queries while there, even though she was traveling internationally! The Rec Center at NorthStar was a highlight with access to private parking for ease in unloading. Our daughter enjoyed the crafts in the Bear Hut, while we relaxed in the sun after a workout in the fitness center. The kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked every night! We also loved sitting on one of the two decks with a glass of wine in the evening. The TV, with Netflix, was a life-saver for the kids in terms of finding programming for them. The beds were comfy, and the many bathrooms and closets allowed everyone to have space for themselves and their stuff. We already texted the owner to say we want to come back again - for longer next time!
4.7
Wonderful NorthStar Home
This is a really nice, clean & up-to-date home that we stayed in for the Mudder Run. Huge benefits - Walking distance to Northstar, Free Shuttle Service, Beautiful Recreation Center (that includes hot tubs, pools, arcade, massage & workout areas) along with having a large house with multiple beds for the large family/friends.
Everything is remodeled, except for the single-pane windows & sliding glass doors. I would recommend staying for a week to make it more beneficial to cover the house cleaning and insurance fees.
Probably the best item - the owner, Mitzi, contacted us prior to the arrival to confirm we had all of the necessary information (She was also available when we arrived and had a question about the residence too).
We will definitely be back for the winter season!
