The view was nice. The staff was friendly.
Breakfast tasty and had few options to choose from.
All in all it was good experience however on the first day when we checked in we received set of towels that had black stains on it and I think they were washed cause they smelled OK however it is not something you want to see in the hotel room.
Breakfast was nice the only thing that made me iffy that I could see that the jar of jam and butter they refiled by themselves and its just didn't give me that nice hotel look it look more like they are cutting costs. And one morning I opened butter and the lid clearly had jam inside so top of the butter had jam on it. It's not the worst just doesn't give a great vibes about it and makes u think who else ate from this jar befere me.

It was beautiful and a very remote area, literally in the middle of rice fields, even the drive into the property was very scenic.
The property was very hidden… the check in instructions were not very clear where the entrance was, my suggestion is that you send the guest a picture of that bamboo hidden door so they know it was there . We circled back and fourth a couple times before realizing that was the entrance door. Aside from that it was great otherwise.

At night if you leave the hotel for dinner there are many fireflies in the ricefields around....unfurtunatly you can't see any of the ricefields from the entire property, not from your room, the porch, the pool or even the reception/lobby...
You will not get what you expect, as the photos are only taken inside their big villa, there is not one single photo on booking. com of the room they put us in. Dark small old room, with NO VIEW at all (see our photos). We booked this place to have a villa with ricefield view & delicious breakfast with croissants etc as shown in their photos, we felt tricked into booking here, as nothing in real was like on their photos on booking. com, the pool is small & dirty, with different cheaper sunbeds & a messy pavilion under construction, no shade, no umbrella. The breakfast is unenjoyable-streaky bacon, tasteless eggs, dried out pancakes & "breadbasket" with only 4 dry hard toast in, no other breadoption or croissants, comes with bali coffee only.
We are Europeans living in asia since 10 years, neither we are picky eaters nor we do have high expectations, but for 50€/night our whole experience there was unacceptable. We booked 3 nights to escape busy life & relax at the pool & room, which we didnt at all, as it was not worth staying at the property & there was lack of privacy as the owner would be around constantly planting & organizing his hotel, standing in front of our room suddenly. Bad wifi in room & at pool. No kettle in room. On top of a lot of inconvenience we were eating breakfast 8am on our porch (on a small coffee table with dirty sofa chairs, there is no other option) when we saw a dying baby RAT inside the room next to our bed!! We called the housekeeping which removed the rat 5min later, but no apology or the like. Most expensive but most dissapointing accommodation while 2 weeks in Bali. We felt scammed & would not recommend.

just perfect :)

The breakfast was superb and being in the middle of the quiet rice field/terrace was just very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and firm. The host was attentive, friendly and informative. My partner and I felt very welcomed in their Zoli's property.
The property was slightly difficult initially and the room light was quite dim. I wished the wifi would extend into the rooms.

Stunning property. Quiet and nestled amongst the Rice fields, but just a short ride into Ubud city.
Nothing - the stay was exceptional

The breakfast and view was good.
Waiting for check in for 45 mins. Waiting 3 hours for room service. Poor communication from host. Could not locate the Villa. No taxi nearby. Room service dinner was terrible.

The site is very quiet and greeny away from traffic and noises. The owner was very friendly and helpful, tried to fulfill all our wishes. The breakfast was excellent.
In contrary to the description at booking.com there was no TV-set in the room and Wi-Fi was available only in the lobby

Malaya Villas are such a beautiful, special place to stay. We love coming here to enjoy Ubud away from the hustle and bustle. The villas are beautiful, comfy and well equipped - we love the gorgeous outdoor bathroom. The villas are surrounded by a lush garden and the views are incredible.
Reni and Zoli are the perfect hosts. They are both warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Their staff were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
We wish we could have stayed longer and we can’t wait to come back!!
We loved everything!

We had a nice stay. Surrounded by rice fields. Nice and quiet. Host Zori made us easy to find the Villa and gave us plenty of information about attractions. Thanks Zori.

Staff and the owner were amazing and so helpful. Location was very beautiful, right next to the rice fields. There was a possibility to rent a scooter. Breakfast was really good.
Small thing but the wifi didn't reach our room.

Zoli, the host, is very engaged and tries to do everything to let you have a good stay. The communication is easy and fast. You can text or call him any time and he will help you. The breakfast was really good and more than enough. You have a small refrigerator in your room to have cold water or beer or if you didn't eat everything from the big fruit platter you get as a side for breakfast. You can also rent a scooter, buy dinner, drinks or beer. The prices are very fair. We had a very good time and even booked another night.

Beautiful Nature retreat ! Hotel hosts are very helpful with everything. All the Ubud sightseeing is very close to hotel - best location to discover Ubud and enjoy stay in beautiful nature landscape. Stars during the nights are so close that feel like they lay on your face. Amazing !
