The property was immaculate with everything you need and really comfortable. We would definitely stay again. (Fabulous Holiday). The only fault that I could find was the parking but that was no problem as there is a free car park just at the end of the street.

A nice winter break
Nice and quiet location, near to local amenities. Plenty of walks nearby both woodland and beach which the dog really enjoyed.
Only downside is on street parking which means you might have a little walk to find the car.
Nice enclosed garden, ideal for dogs and a well kitted out kitchen with large fridge / freezer.

A great week stay in a very confortable and well appointed cottage
We really enjoyed staying at Hideaway Cottage. It was tastefully furnished, the kitchen was very well equipped. The wood burner stove was very efficient and gave a wonderful heat. The cottage is conveniently located 5 min walk to the town centre and the coop supermarket. Ideal to visit Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, etc.

A Scam
Booked , without a toilet upstairs, requested a change was not given one and on top of all no reimbursement they kept the whole amount and had the flat to resent appauling

Well Presented
Clean and well presented 2 up 2 down terraced property. Convenient for shops and takeaways. Comfortable beds. Minor drawbacks, limited on road parking, inability to manage heating temperature and no bath ( nice shower room though). We enjoyed our stay.

Convenient little house in Leiston
Clean and comfortable down a quiet street, with 5 minutes walk to shops that include a Coop suoermarket. All mod-cons which were in very good condition. Bedrooms are upstairs while the bathroom is down the steep stairs. One double bed was excellent, the other was a bit bouncy and roll-together. Our one problem was that the heating was either ON or OFF and so could get very hot (even with the radiator thermostats at minimum).

Nice cottage but some issues
The standard of cleanliness and decor was excellent. However, the lack of parking is a major issue. There are double yellow lines outside the property so parking has to be away from the house. Occasionally we were able to park within 100 yards but normally it was more than this and on one occasion there wasn't any parking in the vicinity, the nearby car park was full and we ended up leaving the car two streets away. Not good.
There was also a lack of storage in the bedrooms. The front bedroom did not have a chest of drawers so clothes had to either be left in a suitcase or laid out on the floor. The wardrobe cupboard only had 3 usable hangers. The back bedroom did not have a wardrobe, only a rack on the wall, again with only 3 hangers. The downstairs bathroom at the back of the house, which is overlooked by the house at the rear, does not have blinds at the windows and also is not very convenient if needed in the night.
Whilst we enjoyed the area, we were not overly happy with the house.

September Hideaway
I had a wonderful week at Hideaway Cottage this September. The cottage was spotlessly clean and a perfect base from which to explore the Suffolk coast. Everything is provided for, with a fully equipped kitchen, luxury bathroom, two very comfortable bedrooms and a cosy living room with TV and wifi. The garden is a lovely place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, with tables and chairs provided. I was joined for the weekend by my sister and her husband who also loved the cottage. They could have brought their dog too, but didn't on this occasion. We enjoyed nearby Aldeburgh, Minsmere and Walberswick and had a lovely meal at the Regatta restaurant in Aldeburgh. We also bought delicious smoked fish from a hut on Aldeburgh beach. All in all a perfect getaway!

Good central location
Interesting village/town with enough shops. 3.6km to the beach mainly via bridleways. About the same on the road. Beach stretches north up to Walberswick and south to Aldeburgh so it was easy not to have the shadow of Sizewell B in the background.
Lots of good gravel tracks and quiet roads between, Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.

A charming house in a very quiet location.
We probably stayed at Hideaway Cottage in the hottest week of the year so far. We found the house cool. We had no problem sleeping. Leiston was a good location to visit many of Suffolks beautiful beaches Minnismere Nature reserve, which we thoroughly recommend, lovely villages, churches and country inns. The countryside was stunning. The wild flowers beautiful. Plenty of walking. The Cinnamon Indian Restaurant in Leiston very good. The Parrot and Punch Bowl a nice walk to in Aldeburgh The Dolphin in Thorpeness good meals.

We really enjoyed Hideaway Cottage
We enjoyed our stay the cottage is lovely and within easy reach of many Suffolk beaches and places to visit. The cottage is beautifully modernised with all “mod cons”and very comfortable and we felt “at home” and relaxed.
Only slight downside for older visitors may be the steep staircase however, being in the older age group ourselves we managed and it didn’t detract from its charm and our holiday . Thank you Hideaway Cottage .

Long Weekend in Suffolk
The cottage is small but perfectly ok for a long weekend. It is light and airy with a nice sunny east (mornings) to west aspect.
All fixtures and fittings were of a good standard and all appliances worked well.
Just the one bathroom/wc downstairs would have been tiresome for longer stays.
Parking can be an issue, especially with two cars but certainly not a problem if you are prepared for a walk.
All in all, a nice neat little cottage ideal for a short break.

Nice cottage
A lovely cottage but Leiston itself didn't have much to offer, only one pub offering food. Good fish and chip shop, which operated on a phone your order. Parking a bit of an issue but managed to park somewhere close. Bed in back bedroom needs replacing, propped up with wood and a mattress topper, not the most comfortable bed I've slept in. No instructions for washing machine use and dishwasher not very efficient

our long awaited holiday
It seems such a long while since our holiday was booked( January 2020) for June 2020 but covid delayed our holiday till 2021.From booking the original holiday to it taking place this year I feel we were looked after very well by everyone at Suffolk Hideaways. Hideaways Cottage was very clean and everything was provided for our use, it was a spacious cottage for my sister and I we would certainly like to stay in it again in the near future. Parking might be a problem for some people but there was a car park on the next street which we were quite happy with.

Ideal property for 2-3 people
This property was clean and well equiped. Conveniently close to coast and to Minsmere RSPB.
No off road parking but we always found somewhere close by to park.

Hideaway Cottage Leiston
It was a very well appointed little house. The description of it when we booked was accurate and the arrival directions were good. It was a very good base for what we wanted to do in Suffolk which was visit the many churches used by our ancestors in the last three hundred years. The property was very quiet at night, although as we live in a detached house we did sometimes hear the neighbours, which we are not used to. I would not recommend this property for older people as there was not always parking nearby and the stairs were steep.

Excellent cottage in well-placed location
No problems staying in this lovely cottage, well-placed for lots of visits to local coast and woodland walks.

Spotlessly clean, smart, comfortable - perfect stay
Nice location within Leiston, convenient for shops, Sizewell and other walks. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, and a lovely light, pleasantly decorated interior. We enjoyed our stay there immensely and would have no hesitation in booking it again for another stay.

Comfortable and clean dog-friendly cottage
We spent a lovely couple of days at Hideaway Cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and comfortable. Equipped with everything we needed (even stairgate for the dog’s benefit!). Very clean. Didn’t think much of Leiston but the cottage is in a quiet location and well placed for Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Hideaway Cottage
A delightful cottage close to all the main attractions. It was great to find milk, tea, coffee and cleaning supplies. The property has a stair gate to keep the dog downstairs which is a great touch as we forgot to bring our travel one!
The cottage felt like a home away from home.
