Convenient location. Large old house. Lots of character.

This is a really special home! We loved staying here with 4 adults and 6 children - there was plenty of room, and we were very comfortable. The home has so much charm and character, and we loved the location—easy to get everywhere we wanted to go! Highly recommend, and we would come back again in a heartbeat!

A group of us enjoyed the property and location while traveling to town for a wedding celebration. The home was the perfect getaway from wedding festivities and to recharge!

My family and I traveled to Chattanooga for my son's graduation at UTC. We needed a place that could accommodate our large family group who were joining us for the celebration. We found this place on VRBO and it was perfect! The home was built in 1885 and is one of the oldest homes in Chattanooga, but it has been remodeled and restored beautifully. The house was amazing. So much character and history, with elegance and modern touches that compliment the original architecture. From the 130+ year old giant elm tree in the back yard, to the cherry wood floors and brass accents, and incredible kitchen designed perfectly for hosting and toasting.. this place was just great! My compliments to the owners who have done such a wonderful job in restoring and revitalizing this wonderful historic home!

Great quick weekend meeting place.

We stayed here over Spring Break and had 3 adults and 6 children. The house was clean and accommodating. Close to downtown. There was plenty of space for all of us. Would stay here again for another kids trip or a girls trip.

We had an amazing time celebrating our friend’s wedding over the weekend. The house is gorgeous, kitchen is stocked with supplies, and they even left little treats on the beds! 10 outta 10 recommend.

Our core team enjoyed our stay while working an event in Chattanooga. The space was roomy, clean and allowed for enough privacy for four unrelated team members. The master bedroom/bathroom is a WOW!

Beautiful Victorian that has plenty of sleeping accommodations and rooms to spread out in. Kitchen is updated and has all the modern conveniences.
Would book again if ever back in the area.

We loved this house so much! Fireplaces in almost every room, spacious rooms, clean and newly redone everything. We used the living room, kitchen, and big table a lot. The host is responsive and helpful. The heating system is tricky and the house was 40 degrees when we got there, so it took all night to get the house ok the 60’s. However, the host helped and there are fans and space heaters available. Would definitely come here again.

Our family loved staying in the beautiful home and we look forward to booking again next time we are in the area!

Went for a girls weekend and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. A short drive to everything downtown and very large accommodations. Beds were very comfortable and the house was stocked with anything you would need. We will stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the classic victorian. It was spacious and had really classic features and wonderful woodwork. The bedrooms were spacious and kitchen was really nicely redone.

Amazing home! The space is unbelievable comfortable, spacious, open, clean, and modern. This is a genuine Victorian style home with very high ceilings. It is be great for wedding or family photos! Location is very near to all attractions. Neighborhood is quiet. Parking is available in rear driveway or on the street. No issues there at all. We were seven in total with much more room to spare. Will return again. Only negative feedback was the lawn - it was high and overgrown due to the recent rain and took away a little from the exterior beauty of this home. ❤️

Girls weekend to celebrate all turning 65 this year.. the home was perfect for us! Location was perfect as being a quick drive to everything! The home has plenty of space and slept our group of 8 perfectly with extra room! The kitchen is over the top nice! and the dining area! The house is old yes, but with so many upgrades and such character!
Only negative at all, was a barking dog at night, not to do with the home.. just bring a good sound machine with you! It's super clean, and two laundry areas to use! The owner was extremely helpful and timely to small concerns!

The house has amazing high ceilings and woodwork and tons of big windows. For a person who hasn’t been in a lot of older houses, it’s surprising how much quality and effort people used to put into a house. The kitchen has been updated nicely. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of supplies for our stay. There is a lot of room to park multiple cars in the gravel area under the really cool giant tree behind the house. Some areas on the outside of the house looked a little in need of repair, but given the age of the house it looks great. There is a nice backyard area with a little deck right off the kitchen. The place also has a tv with streaming services, an interesting old piano, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and 2 washers and dryers—one set upstairs and one downstairs—in case you need to do lots of laundry! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location- convenient to all of our wedding venues including Read House, Patten chapel and The Historic. Parking for 3 vehicles in gravel drive and street parking too. Wonderful kitchen and SO much character. If you love old houses, you will love staying here!

The house is absolutely stunning!! Could not believe we got that much space, rooms, bathrooms for the price. Great deal! The location was super convenient to downtown. Would definitely recommend to anyone getting away for a weekend in the Chatt.

The description given on this house does not hold a light to how amazing it really is!
We have two 4 year olds and 5 adults.
Absolutely perfect!
The girls had tons of room to run around, the bathtubs are huge, the dining room table is so perfect and the kitchen - OMG!
We are trying to start new traditions after the loss of my husband and this was absolutely the best! We did Christmas cookies and played board games.
So many great memories made!
Thank you for sharing your house with our family! We are very grateful!

Very clean and well-loved. This is the first time we have stayed in a long time somewhere we didn’t have to do a whole bunch of work before we laughed which was very nice. It was cleaned meticulously before we arrived and indoors was cozy with moody ambiance and a brightly lit kitchen. Our family enjoyed playing games around the big dining room table and cooking in the kitchen. We got to see fireworks in town from the comfort of our patio and it was even so easy to do the laundry which we hadn’t planned to do but did because it was so conveniently located in the master bathroom. Love and attention have been paid to this lovely historic home (black out curtains etc) to make it comfortable for guests and we really enjoyed our stay.

Nicely updated house with a ton of space. Had a great stay while attending the Hooch regatta. Not far from downtown. Was blown away with all of the little details that were accounted for. Highly recommended.

Chamberlain Hall is a beautiful property. Quick access to all Chatt tourist destinations, which means you're also close to sirens and city sounds. Also very close to The Refindery store, a hidden gem. Clean, aside from exterior windows and some dust. No evidence of pests, but ghosts were friendly ;) Floors seemed nearly original, so you will want to wear socks to avoid splinters. Husband fell down the steps, could be a positive or negative depending on your husband. INCREDIBLE master bathroom with double shower and clawfoot tub that is not pictured! Piano was acoustically placed and made for some lovely videos. I hope we get the chance to return, as our kids enjoyed this vacation home more than any other.

This charming vintage house was just the right place for four families to stay while attending a wedding. We stayed three nights and had plenty of time to visit between wedding activities. The large living room allowed us to sit together and catch up on stories of our children and grandchildren. The four principles (ages 68 -79) hadn't stayed together for such a long time. And here we were together for three days! We had many lovely meals at the huge table in the dining room. No need to go out to an expensive restaurant when the kitchen was so big we could all fix meals together! And we enjoyed the modern kitchen and wonderful bathroom features. The property was under two miles from the wedding venue and in a quiet neighborhood.
As an added bonus, I am a professional photographer and was able to capture some lovely photos of the family with wonderful old woods, staircase, and old piano.
Worth every penny!

Although the house was not as clean as expected we were able to reach the home owner with our issues. The owner was very apologetic and compensated us for the inconvenience.

Beautiful home!
Loved this property! Such a beautiful, old house with lots of character. All of the upgrades to the home were great - the master bathroom was amazing and the kitchen was nice. Everything was super clean and the property owner was great at getting back to me with answers to questions I had. The table for dining was huge which was great. Also the house gets beautiful light but there are pull down blackout shades in the rooms that I really appreciated for getting better sleep. The checkout process was amazing - the owners asked very little of us before we left which is always nice when you're trying to pack everything up and get out the door!
Only negatives were... first, for as many people as the house sleeps the seating situation in the den was not great. The couches were pretty small and not very comfy so we couldn't all sit together. Would have loved two larger couches and some chairs or a big sectional or something. Not a deal breaker but something to consider. Second, the location was great in terms of distance to downtown, restaurants, etc. but the neighborhood was pretty rundown and there was SO MUCH NOISE. If you are a light sleeper I would definitely recommend lots of sound machines...all through the night there were tons of sirens, trains, dogs barking, etc. Obviously this isn't something the owner can control so I wouldn't have expected them to do anything about it, but definitely come prepared if you are a light sleeper or have kids!
Overall the house is great and beautiful and would definitely stay here again!

Loved the openness and updated kitchen and master bathroom. Stunning. Neighborhood seems to be in the process of getting turned around but it was very quiet and we had no problems.

Overall it was a wonderful stay. There were many lights/bulbs out in every room and the living room light fixture didn’t work at all which made a little difficult to gather as a group and be able to see. The neighborhood was a bit run down and many sirens were going off all weekend long both during the day and all hours of the night. Other than that it was a great stay.

Our stay at your house was magical!!! It was our daughter’s wedding weekend in Chattanooga and the home made it even more of a special weekend. We had a luncheon for 20 of your friends and spreading out in all those beautiful rooms was perfect. The kitchen is amazing and preparing the food was easy. I can’t say enough about the master bathroom, good heavens! Everything was just great and my whole family is grateful for your hospitality. I doubt we will need to stay there again, so thankful again for the wonderful memories!
