The Old Fire Station is quaint and quirky, as described, with clever use of space to fit in all the facilities you need. The owner takes great pride in the property, which is cosy, comfortable, clean and tidy. Very attentive communication from the owners.
The Old Fire Station is centrally located for days out with the children, such as Brandon Country Park, High Lodge or places further afield accessed via the local trainline. The bowling alley just opposite was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Excellently equipped & beautifully styled
Traffic noise but able to get used to it

Just as it was described. Extremely clean and cozy. Very close to two grocery stores, food, pubs, and even a bowling alley right across the street.

Location was perfect for visiting family. Perfect size for 3 of us for a couple of days. Everything was clean and comfortable.

the old fire station is the quirkiest house we have ever stayed in. it suited our purpose for staying in brandon perfectly!
parking is a bit of an issue but we managed to find a space in the nearest free car park for the entirety of our stay

I loved how cozy it was and it was in a great location as well - easy access to food, groceries, and the main roads for travel.
I would have loved for it to be easier to find parking, but once I learned the trick it wasn't a problem.
4.0
Very well equipped, everything was there.
Parking was a bit of a nuisance, fair walk to free car park.

Really lovely property. Quirky, comfy and finished to a very high standard with all modern comforts and facilities you could wish for. Very well placed for exploring the local area. Free and easy parking and a variety of local shops and pubs nearby.
Can't think of anything which could have been better!

Very clean and tidy. Lovely decor, well stocked with basics. Lovely arrival gift. Very comfy bed.
My partner has ear plugs so it didn't effect him, but sometimes morning traffic could be a bit noisy.

We really liked all the attention to detail. Although a small property there was lots of hooks to hang things on and cupboards and baskets to put our belongings in. It was warm and cosy even though the weather was quite cold. Very handy location for basic needs, shops etc. and plenty of free places to park as the property does not come with a designated parking space which was not a problem.
If our stay had been longer we probably would have struggled slightly with only having a two ringed hob. I think some people would find the noise from the road outside difficult as the situation is right in the centre of town near a busy crossroads and there is a steady stream of lorries etc but it did not affect our enjoyment and stay

It's a lovely house that's clean, plenty of space and everything you need for a short stay
There is almost no soundproofing while next to a busy street. You'll hear every single car, lorry and motorbike drive past well into the night, which if you're a light sleeper, isn't great.

Everything about this property was brilliant. You could tell each detail had been thought through and it was very easy to settle into the space. The wine, milk and flowers upon arrival were a nice touch.
We have no complaints, the road was loud but in no way detracted from the property.

Beautifully appointed, stylish and very clean
Location is quite noisy on the main road and Brandon as little to offer as a town.

Everything!!!
No parking space but made do with local car park. Apartment is also by a busy road in the centre of town so can hear cars when sleeping however this wasn’t an issue when sleeping.

Not having enough time.
The location was perfect, the privacy, the atmosphere, it is near the forest, access to local shops, market and restaraunts.
It was a perfect base to meet up with old friends, also it gave me an uninterrupted space to do research. Clean, good facilities and very comfortable.

Perfect location for relevant needs in the area. The accommodation is super cosy and exceptional - Highly recommend and very clean and comfortable
It can be a little noisy with being just off the main road, but you soon adjust to this and ignore - not a major issue

No parking at property, street parking down the road or car park a few minutes walk away.

Everything was great, location, facilities, free parking nearby, walking from door into forest and river, host was great and informative
The road could be a little noisy at times, but you can’t help that due to town centre location, didn’t spoil our break

You won't need to take anything such as good equipment. It's all there for you! Everything is 5mins away. The pub is 3p seconds in view and you have a chippy 10 seconds away! Which was very yummie
Extremely safe place to store my push bike too.
Getting in to this pace was a doddle. No messing about. You won't need to take anything such as good equipment. It's all there for you! Everything is 5mins away. The pub is 3p seconds in view and you have a chippy 10 seconds away! Which was very yummie.

The property is perfectly designed to accommodate couples, small families, and especially single occupants. Everything is thought of and the owner has perfected customer service.
If I had to find one thing to complain about then I guess I’ll say I wish the shower had a little more water pressure. That’s probably the only thing I’d have changed.

Great location for RAF Honington
Traffic noise but got used to it

Perfect space for me to get away on my own for a couple of days. Incredibly comfy bed and reclining chair, lovely warm shower, very well equipped kitchen, and a nice touch was the bottle of wine left for me. Close to 2 good supermarkets and an excellent base for some lovely walks (Weeting, Lynford and Little Ouse back from Thetford).
If you live in a quiet village as I do then the traffic noise takes some getting used to (but after only a couple of days I think I was beginning to block it out). Was quite chilly when I arrived and took a while to heat up but then was very cosy. Sky TV frustrating as programmes looked like they would be available but were not without upgrading (I'm used to free streaming services).

It was ideal for my visit. I felt very safe during my stay.

The place is cozy, utterly charming, the shower is fantastic and all amenities are provided, sparkling clean, and the owner is very responsive, should you have any questions. I highly recommend this lovely nest.
A bit noisy at night time due to the location.
