Absolutely nothing fell short in this place. Stunning view from the house, beautiful house itself. They provided a lot for the house we hadn't even thought of bringing, like condiments, suncream, coffee, etc.
Only 10-15 minutes drive from winery areas.
100% recomend and we will be coming back!

We had a lovely weekend away with family at this property. The grounds are fully enclosed so the kids could play outside freely.

Our daughter got married on the property across the road.
We were lucky enough to secure a booking so we could celebrate without having too far to go.
The property feels very secluded, but it's close to Cessnock (15 mins) with plenty of places to pick up supplies.
Thank you Lyn for making everything easy, from the booking to being made to feel welcome. Bedding, cutlery, crockery, towels and BBQ were all supplied.
Would highly recommend the property to anyone that needs an escape. The large verandah is a great spot to sit and be.
The bonus . . . Watched a calf be born in the paddock next door!

It was a wonderful experience staying at the valley! The house sits at the heart of Mount view, with scenic view and close to town and wineries. The host provided with everything we need. Highly recommended!

We have stayed at this house on several occasions previously and just love it! This time we took my parents and dog for a family weekend and we all enjoyed the tranquility of the place. Sitting on the front deck is just so relaxing. It has everything you need. Can’t wait to go back.

This was our fourth visit & we keep returning as we just love our time at Valley Beyond.
Sitting on the verandah, looking out over the paddocks and hills and taking in the peace, quiet and bellbird song is total relaxation.
Plenty of room for 8 people with comfortable bedrooms, spacious lounge & open plan kitchen & dining area.
The kids also enjoyed the board games, scooters & bikes provided.
We love that it’s not too far from the wineries & Pokolbin Village area so we can go out and about during the day, then settle in back at the house for evening drinks on the verandah and later share a leisurely dinner, BBQ or nibbles platter with good company.
Looking forward already to our next stay!

We booked this property for a two night mid-week getaway with our two dogs.
The fully fenced yard gave the dogs freedom to run and they loved watching the cows from the fully fenced balconies or the windows.
The two humans enjoyed the fireplace, watching movies, and playing games from the great collection.
This trip has left us dreaming about buying our own country place or at least booking a return trip.

Our family had a wonderful 4 nights away! Our dogs loved it as well as there was plenty of room outside for them to run around which was fully enclosed by a high fence( giving us peace of mind). Recommend it to anyone wanting a country escape with close access to the vineyards.

Felt like home.Away from our family home we just sold we felt lost until we arrived at this amazing house! The hosts are friendly welcoming and understanding. The pictures of this house doesn’t do any justification of how amazing it really is. We had our dachshund Matilda our 11 year old daughter stay for the last 11 days it’s the most beautiful place. Thank you to lyn she’s just beautiful.

Download an area map on google before you leave. There is zero reception in the area. You may be taken 500m down the road. You won’t be able to see to sign to the property in the dark very well.
The road out has been regraded recently, however you’ll want to consider if you have a low car with stiff suspension, as you’ll be driving at 15k/h.
You’ll be sent a text clearly defining everything you need to know about the property. However it’s written by people who are clearly not digital natives and they communicate in a way that is both endearing and frustrating.
DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING AT THE HOUSE
this is the verbatim reply from the owner when asked if they found my hiking torch
“ My housekeeper did find
Put it away in a locked cupboard
I do not live near by and will not be able to collect for a couple of months
Not sure what u want me to do ? ”
When asked to post it this was the reply
“I’m sorry she’s so busy she’s not able too ….she has many of these requests with items left at a number of properties and it’s not something she can manage
I could do but I can’t for a couple of months when there
I haven’t seen the torch is it heavy ?
Of course would need to charge for postage & time “
Posting stranded items is easy and shouldn’t be something I have to drive back several hours and pick up myself. I ended up driving by the next weekend which inconvenienced my wife and two small children by extending a thousand kilometre trip by over an hour.
Nice place. I’d find somewhere else to stay next time.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house is cosy and has a huge kitchen, dining and living area with a lovely fireplace. The fenced garden was great as we were able to leave our dog safely while we explored the Hunter valley sights.

Hugh and Lyn have a beautiful property a warm and comfortable house. Lyn couldn't do much about the weather (we had one booking cancelled due to floods) but to be able to sit on the verandah with a glass of fine local red and a cheese platter, watching the rain tumble down was very relaxing. We stayed with our dog who enjoyed the freedom of the large fence yard and the cows in the next paddock coming to say hello.

Clean, good location, nice view, had everything you needed to cook.

The location is amazing, having breaky on the porch over looking the mountains was something special. The house, presentation and cleanliness was excellent. We had our two small dogs and the yard is well fenced and pet proof. We would highly recommend staying. The location is a bit removed from the tourist locations of the Hunter but the drive, scenery and house is well worth the minimal extra driving.

We really enjoyed the cosy feel of the cabin. It was the perfect location to hang with the family, play board games (there are plenty there), watch a movie and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need and the outlook from the cabin is lovely. The kids loved checking on the cows, riding bikes and hanging on the tyre swing. They didn't want to leave.

Adults will love it and kids will really love it. Kids can have the freedom to explore and adults the freedom to relax.
Really perfect.

Fantastic big home with beautiful views in a secluded part of the Hunter and yet just 10 mins from Cessnock. Warm with lots of firewood provided plus heaters in bedroom, big kitchen, parking fantastic, clean, working dishwasher, lovely outdoor area & BBQ too. There is a 2nd toilet too. We loved it and would come again.
