The location of the home is near many tourist centers and activities. We felt safe and comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two of us. Don't be surprised to see a few homeless persons near the home with multiple churches and social services nearby to provide support for those in need.

The property itself was conveniently located. Everything was within walking distance including my family. Everything was clean, and tidy.
The parking is basically on the street. On the last day our rental car was vandalized. It looked as if they tried to steal it but failed. Just caused a lot of stress.

We were skeptical when we first arrived because the neighborhood looked shady and the reviews weren’t helping either. We decided to stay otherwise and every night I kept thinking is something going to happen to the car. All 3 nights and 4 days, nothing happened. We had a pretty good stay, the unit was pretty clean except for the shower curtain. And the bed was a bit uncomfortable for us but overall it wasn’t too bad.

The place itself is very nice and the property manager kept it clean and tidy and welcoming, however, the neighborhood isn't so great. Many homeless people on drugs were sitting in a park next to the property or across the street at a "multipurpose building".

I was surprised by how quiet it was. There is a park next door. I would recommend having a car. We did not have one and it is in a residential area, located on a hill. So spent a lot of time going up and down some steep hills.

Updated place in unsafe location for a family
We booked this place for week and stayed less then 16 hours. I understand this is a city and will have some "sketchy" parts. However there is no driveway and it is right across the street from a church that is no longer a church and houses transients. This is where you have to park. We had homeless folks staring us up and down when we were unloading the car. The gate to get into the house has no locks so anyone could just walk on the property. We heard 13 gunshots a little after midnight. We got up early, went to breakfast and when we returned around 8:30 am there were 3 police cars directly in front of the house as they were "dealing" with an issue at the church. After we spoke with the police, we decided to leave & eat the cost. We headed to a hotel about 20 minutes south. The place itself inside was very nice, clean and updated. But the neighborhood was not for my family.

Most accommodating!
This turned out to be just as shown on-line. There were 2 of us which made the size perfect. All that we needed was available to us! We briefly lost the internet connection during our stay. We notified the host who “got right on it,” and the problem was solved in record time!! The neighborhood was quiet, and the bed comfortable!! We will definetly choose this place for our next visit!!!

Really clean!
I had a great stay. I was visiting a friend from out if town and we both enjoyed how clean the place is. My friend really enjoyed how all the kitchen set stuff matched the kitchen itself. Had a good time.

Nice modern property
It was a great stay and unit was fantastic. It looked like the pictures and communication with Mike was easy. He has little touches through the unit to get you started - toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, travel size toothpaste, extra blankets, pillows and towels, Swifter mop, etc. Well thought out!
Observations and remedies - the lightbulb burnt out and notified Mike right away. He offered to have someone fix it. I reassured him it wasn't a problem, just wanted to let his cleaning crew know so they could bring a bulb when they get there upon our check out. Also noticed a slightly loose trim on the entry platform. Again it didn't bother us, just wanted to let him know so he could monitor it, as time and weight could pry it loose.
The neighboring properties are not as well maintained as his, that is not anything he can do, but it made us feel a little uneasy since we were not familiar with the neighborhood and our sense of security was always on alert.
We also got in really late at night so naturally there is not a lot of light on the quiet residential property. This unit is in the back and you have to traverse through a gate, along a gravel path on the side or the front property, to another gate before you get to the back property. It is quite dark and being unfamiliar, we felt bad lugging our suitcases and making noise at that time of night. It's really quiet and walking on gravel sounds extra loud. We used our flashlights on our phones to find our way through, it was quite dark. Having a motion light to get to the back property would have made it easier, but we realize it may be a nuisance to the front property with bright lights possibly turning on at all times of night or morning with the rental unit in the back. Maybe path lights could be a solution? Just some tips for future renters, have a flashlight if you get in late or leave early....it really was a great place!

Great place bad location
I’ve never been in Tacoma before and we’ll, google maps doesn’t do any justice, the neighborhood was sketchy and sor of dirty, the garbage truck came 2-3 times that week that seem a bit off.
But the building was good and clean, there a bbq area which I wish I had the time to give it some use. There was a confusion about which building was, there are 2-3 buildings that look the same so I initially thought I was in the front building.

Lovely remodel, not well appointed
The property is fresh, clean and modern. There are only two little, useless table lamps...overhead lights are overly bright. No linens in the kitchen. Bath linens are luxurious. Very comfortable bed. Owner asks that you start a load of laundry and the dishwasher before you leave. I only used about 3 dishes and 2 towels, that seems like a waste of water.
The upstairs renters started the dishwasher and laundry at 4:30am when they left...there is not much sound buffer between the floors.
Otherwise, convenient location, quiet and lovely remodel.

The direction to unit 3 was missing *important* safety info. When you get to the end of the front house there is a small step, it's just big enough to throw you off balance. Next there are 5 steps leading up to the gate. There was no light on the path at night. The directions were spot on minus the information about steps. Once inside the front door there is one more step down.
Once inside the unit is amazing. Top of the line, full size appliances. The TV was put in the day we arrived. We were quite busy with a family wedding but the TV was useful for local news and weather.
The bed seems hard when you sit on it. I noticed reviews about it from other guests. I have to say it was really comfortable to sleep on. It doesn't make you sink in the way memory foam can.
The mirrors on the closer doors were perfect for making sure our dresses looked good..
Plenty of hot water for showers and dishes. It was quiet at night. The neighborhood was nice and close to our needs.
Our host was quick to respond to questions.

Clean and quiet
The rental was perfect for our stay in the Tacoma area. It is close to the freeway and not far from water boardwalks. The house was clean and quiet. It was a little warm with no AC but they have a couple fans to keep the air moving. The bed is comfy!

Great Stay at a great price.
Me and my partner where road tripping threw a few states, and needed a place to stay with short notice. This property was perfect, self check in was easy and the space was nice for a couple. Only downside is no A/C, but when fall and winter time comes around? Perfect stay.

Great location, plenty of space for large gathering
This is the second time I’ve rented from Mike in the hilltop area of Tacoma, and it went great. The property is in a pretty diverse area, is close to cool restaurants and local attractions, and has dedicated parking (huge bonus there!). We were traveling for a memorial for a family member, and this house gave us a place we could all be together.
It is very clean. It is not *fancy*, but it worked great for us. If you’re looking for fluffy towels, new everything and high end touches, Mike has lots of properties that would fit that bill close by. This was big and clean and we could all fit. We’re close, so the two bathrooms for 15 worked fine. The keypad is on the third story landing in the back (where parking is) so send someone young up to unlock the other doors. It doesn’t have air conditioning, not uncommon in the area, but just FYI. Is you’ve got the windows open: the neighborhood is in the heart of the city: it can be loud into the night.
Overall, we’d rent it again in a moment if traveling with a large, close-knit group. Thank you Mike, yet again, for a 5-star experience.

Cute little place!
The unit was very cute and updated. I gave three stars for cleanliness because there was food left in the fridge and microwave and coffee grounds that must have spilled that were on the oven door handle. I contacted the owner and he responded right away and took care of us which made things so much better
