Stayed 4 nights, Monday to a Friday. Quick communication prior to visit let us know check in code etc and a reminder of what is and isn't included on site.
Clean, well sized place for the 5 of us. Good size hottub and private. Lady next door was lovely, initially bit worried as she had small barking dogs, but they got used to us within moments and didnt bark at us again.
Easy walk to the centre. Booking swimming was straight forward on the Finlake website, the kids also did Zorbing while there. Simple to get out to Torquay, Teignmouth etc
Only downside for us, and to be clear this was known before booking, is whether we'd want to stay somewhere again that doesnt include sheets, covers and towels. Just made it a bit more of a chore in packing and getting settled in.
But that's a personal choice for us to consider!
Lovely trip, thank you.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the property and happy with the layout. It was clean and tidy and the bedrooms were also spacious. We had all we required for our holiday. Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable. The mattresses need changing as the springs could be felt through the non-existent padding. Once these are changed the property will be ideal for a relaxing get away. We found that the resort was very big and hilly so not hip or knee friendly. Not a lot of activity for the children if they don't like swimming or couldn't take part for any reason. The Children's Park offering was quite boring for bigger children. We didn't find much adult entertainment so not a lot to get involved in if you are not exercise crazy. We didn't pay for the weeks' access to the leisure centre as we found this to be quite expensive as you have to pay for the activities on top. We discovered that you can pay separately for swimming if you only want to access for a couple of days and not the whole week.
On the whole we enjoyed our stay, not sure we would go there again though.

Lovely place to stay

It's a nice lodge, located cul de sac at the far end of the holiday park. Quiet as we didn't have neighbors and was able to enjoy the hot tub in peace!!
Excellent communication from the owner and check in was easy.
A word of advice if you're planning to cook, take everything you need (incl. salt, pepper) as the pantry is empty!
We enjoyed our stay and the food in the holiday park restaurant was surprisingly good!!

We have stayed in Lindsay’s lodge a number of times now and it never fails to disappoint. Recently refurbished, extremely clean and very comfortable. Spacious accommodation with well equipped kitchen. Home from home, I could actually live here. Will definitely return, thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. Lovely little sun trap especially in the morning, perfect start to the day.

Lovely lodge, however, be aware that you need to take your own sheets and duvet covers, we had to purchase when we got there as we did not find out until we had arrived. Wouldn't have been a problem if we had prior warning. On a positive, the lodge had everything we needed, in a peaceful location. Hot tub was awesome and the daily squirrel and duck visitors were ace. Would definitely return.

We stayed in August with our 3 children aged 5-9. The lodge was much more spacious than we had expected and felt clean, modern and comfortable. The position of the lodge in the park is a lovely quiet spot, yet close to the pools and restaurant. We stayed for two weeks and could happily have done two more! The facilities at the park were perfect for our kids, and even though we found some of the activities a bit expensive for what they were, the kids still enjoyed them and this is down to Finlake Park themselves, not the property owner! The Park is positioned really well for a whole host of days out, the beaches nearby were great. Lindsay was really helpful before our stay giving ideas for where to visit and good local shops. We would certainly visit again, the whole experience was great.

Such a lovely lodge in an excellent position on the park, in a quiet cul-de-sac but close to all the amenities. The hot tub was fab and the kitchen was well equipped, the lodge had everything we needed. I wish we had booked for longer! There is an excellent shop on site and the outdoor heated swimming pool is great.

Fabulous lodge. Everything you need to hand. Holiday resort was well kept with plenty to do

on arrival we found that the property was excellent and just what we were looking (and hoping ) for. Hopefully we can arrange a return visit in the future

Only issue we had was that we were unable to book activities we wanted as they were all booked. Bookings open 3 weeks before arrival but park were only notified of our visit by the owner 1 week before. Owner is looking into this.

We wanted relaxation and comfort and the lodge and holiday park provided just that. The lodge was in a lovely secluded spot and perfect spot for using the hot tub. The lodge was spotless, spacious and very cosy.
The park itself is lovely, very well kept and provided enough amenities whilst being a quiet lovely get away. Although a car is needed there is plenty to do and visit within a short drive away.

Me and my partner stayed at finlake for our anniversary and it was amazing. We went last year as well and have already talked about staying there again next year. The location is perfect, there are lot's of things to do on site and off. The hot tub is lush and perfect for relaxing in after a long day. The owner of the lodge is very polite and makes sure you have got everything you need. I would 100% recommend!

Firstly the positives. Finlake is a great place to holiday with fantastic facilities and a real relaxed feel about the place. Nice pools, bar, restaurant, shop, walks etc. We would definitely recommend it.
Secondly, the not so positive which is the lodge itself. On arrival we quickly noticed that the lodge was not very clean. It was tidy enough but after a look around it was obvious the lodge required a proper deep and thorough clean. Having paid what we consider to be a premium and in these Covid times our basic expectation was that the place would be thoroughly clean. We were so very wrong.
The lodge is very dated and tired and in need of major refurbishment and not just a lick of paint. We can cope with dated and tired but not the level of cleanliness we had to endure. We contacted the owner who sent in the cleaner. She understood our concerns and admitted that the place is desperate for a deep clean but there is no time. It appears to me that it is one in and one out on a continued basis so a basic wipe over at best. We went out for the day but the deep ingrained filth was not touched. Things like the dirty floor with white socks becoming black within 30 minutes, skirting and sills that don't appear have been wiped down in months etc. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work, the door out onto the decking doesn't lock properly, no hinge on the hot tub pool cover so two people have to hoist it up and over as one person would struggle. These might seem small but they are not and should be sorted when we are paying a significant sum to be there. It was also disappointing that the owner didn't follow up.
I took lots of pictures but there is no means to upload them. Instead I made a formal complaint to Finlake and sent them the pictures. They advised they will take this very seriously.
I have no doubt the owner will try and counter my argument and defend his position and refer to previous reviews. However I spoke to him a few days before in regards to checking in etc and he admitted that he hasn't visited the lodge in months. He is either unaware of the level of filth or is choosing to look the other way.
We are a simple family of two adults and two young children and are by no means complainers or look to hold grievances with anyone. Our expectations were not too high but we did expect a certain level of cleanliness but 26 The Brambles got nowhere near.
We highly recommend Finlake as a holiday park but certainly not 26 The Brambles.

We had a great time at this lodge in Finlake. The lodge was very well equipped and more spacious than I expected. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus too! We also loved Finlake indoor pool (unfortunately the weather did not permit us to use the outdoor pool, which was only open weekends at the time of our stay) and the location of the park/lodge is great for exploring the surrounding area with Torquay, Paignton and much more in easy reach. Would recommend 😁

Absolutely everything you need is there, it’s so spacious even if 6 of you were holidaying together. All good quality, bright, comfy beds, plenty of storage, even the games/DVD’s and books to keep everyone occupied. Perfect location on site. So clean. Just no faults what so ever. Ideal and quiet too, so peaceful, hot tub ready to go, soooooothing after a day out. Can’t recommend highly enough. Will definitely be rebooking, for sure. Thanks Lindsay x

Everything we needed. Few things we felt could be improved. A longer non slip rubber mat by hot tub would be good. Saturday and Monday there were workmen plus digger right outside lodge. Would have been nice to be made aware of. DVD player didn’t work and left side of toaster didn’t either. We enjoyed our few days however.
