Attractive location with attractive kitchen. We only missed the WiFi.

We enjoied our holidays in the cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped and even without wifi it was never boring. Our kids were happy about the board games and the dvd collection. Also the short way to the beach or the town center of st. Marychurch.

Great place,no issues. Location not the best for people who are a bit shakey on their feet.

Quiet street. More older people live there. Parking and Bus stop near the cottage. Lovely Garden. BBQ possible. Shops in "Fore street" about 500 meters .

We’ve just returned having stayed in the beautiful Mount Rose Cottage for our family break in Babbacombe. The host and key handler were fantastic- great with communication and responding to messages. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were of good sizes, having two bathrooms is always a bonus and the beds were really comfy! The cottage itself is only a 10 minute walk into the centre of St. Marychurch (up quite a steep hill). However, there’s a bus stop a few doors up the road which has regular services into St. Marychurch or Torquay. Parking could be an issue as there’s no driveway or designated parking spot for the cottage, but we were able to find a spot just up the road each day as others have mentioned in their reviews.
Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

Wow what can I say. Property was lovely.
Lots of space for the children to play in the garden.
Kitchen was well equipped. Games for the children to play.
Beautiful sized rooms.
7 people in a 2 bed and isn't didn't feel over crowded.
The bathroom downstairs has a lovely deep bath.(children loved that).
Good distance for everything beaches shops takeaways.
No WiFi made this break all the more relaxing.
Really looking forward to booking again.

Lovely holiday cottage, very good top end equipment and decoration. Very comfortable and modern. Very happy with the stay. Parking was a bit tricky but expected in that area

A lovely little cottage
This was a lovely place to stay for a trip to the area. It has a nice secluded garden - a shame the weather was not warm enough for us to make use of it. The description was accurate (the only thing we couldn't find was a coffee maker - luckily we had a one mug cafetière so just made multiple mugs from that). As others noted there are yellow lines outside, but we normally got a parking space on the same road. Just once I had to walk 5 mins back, but that wasn't a great problem.

A beautiful little Cottage in the heart of the prettiest little village
The Cottage is very pretty and surprisingly spacious with the benefit of two bathrooms. There is a lovely secluded raised garden which is a lovely suntrap and we were entertained by a lovely little Robin every time we sat out.
Location is perfect with it being within walking distance of the beautiful beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacome and the shops of both St Mary Church Precinct and Babbacombe and the model village.
The only down side is that there is NO onsite parking, rather there is on street parking which can mean parking some distance from the house.
A beautiful property, at a really good rental price and somewhere we would stay again.

Fine for a quiet stay.
Nice property, well equipped easy walking distance into town. Parking was difficult though and everything closed very early even at the peak of the summer holidays. Nowhere nearby to eat out, so fine if you want to stay in and go to bed early but if you like a bit of life on your holiday you need to drive to Torquay or further afield and book any restaurants well in advance.

Awesome!
A wonderful cottage a credit to the owner it has been tastefully renovated mixing old with new. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this 300 year old cottage although it would’ve been nice to know about the history of it.
The wine, chocolates and biscuits were a nice gesture after a long trip, my only gripe and it’s only a small gripe would be there’s no parking in front/on the property but there’s plenty on the streets nearby but don’t let that put you off.
If I’m in Torquay again I’ll be definitely booking this place again.

Short break
The cottage is beautifully maintained with all the necessary equipment to make the stay away from home easier.
Parking is a nightmare, but looking at Torquay roads, they are all double lines.

Amazing
This is such a wonderful 300 year old cottage! Beautifully renovated. Two huge bedrooms, two bathrooms and a livingroon with a pull out bed. The kitchen is fab. The garden is exquisite! There is no parking but lots of on road parking up the hill. We got there late after a car blow out and nothing was too much for the host. There was wine, flowers x 2 and chocolates, biscuits and fresh towels waiting for us. Honestly, I loved it there!!!! Thank you so much. Best holiday in a long time.

Lovely well equipped cottage
Had a great stay - no WI-FI was actually great for family time and 4G was strong when we wanted to reconnect! Well located for all sorts of trips only drawback is that parking is a nightmare ! Husband got a parking ticket because the double yellows are faded and he didn’t see them in the dark - other than that a really lovely house

We loved your cottage, very clean & comfortable, we would love to come and stay again, and we will
The area was more residential and built up than we thought it was a delight to come back to the cottage and chill, relax and just be. I came with my daughter to be together and relax, it was just perfect. We made the most of the 3 full days we were here, enjoyed visiting Cockington, and the zoo. Thank you so much Valerie & Justine

A lovely cottage
It’s a lovely cottage and garden and It was very clean. Its a short walk to Babbacombe and the bus stop to drop Torquay was right outside so a good location.
My only downside was the traffic noise going past the cottage , It did wake me up but we do live in the country side so not used to hearing traffic.
We had a great break at the cottage and would definitely recommend it.

Walking distance to beach and attractions
Really enjoyed our stay in this well presented cottage with everything you needed and lovely comfy beds. Wine, biscuits and flowers on arrival... very nice . Parking on street is an issue however the cottage is very conveniently situated for shops and the bus to Torquay.

Cozy and lovely place!
The house was lovely and very neat, clean and spacious! However, no wifi and no TV working made my children bit difficult to enjoy. Lack of stocks like the toilet paper would’ve been better. Parking was on the street and bus passing by but it was ok.
Babacombe beach was 5 min away and amazing site!
Overall, kitchen was wonderful to use and I highly recommend the place!

Great Cottage
This Cottage is just what we imagined. With a nice bottle of red waiting for us upon arrival.
It was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The beds were very comfy and the cottage itself was rather spacious with all the mod cons.
It’s ideally located in a quiet neighbourhood and close to many places worth visiting.
We will definitely return!.

Brilliant holiday in lovely cottage
We had a great holiday and loved the cottage. The cottage was spacious, clean and comfy and had everything we needed. It was located near to the local shops which was handy. My 7 year daughter highly recommended her bed and said it was very comfy. The bath and shower were also great. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back again.

The Cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and is very comfortable. It is in a good position to walk to Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Model Village, Theatre and Restaurants/Bars. There is also a petrol station/shop 100 yds away. Parking is on the road and we always managed to find a space although not directly outside. There is a bus stop very near so you don't need a car. The garden is a sun spot with a a swing seat in it. The two bathrooms are handy and the kitchen is fully equipped and large enough to eat in. An excellent base for Torbay and very reasonably priced.
