Wonderful find in the middle of nowhere. Very comfortable, great breakfast and very friendly hosts. Highly recommended. Spotlessly clean and a fantastic old building

Stunningly beautiful setting in woodland, a little way from A71, south of Orleans. Hosts were friendly and attentive to our needs, responding quickly to our enquiries.
Rooms were well decorated and clean. Bathroom well appointed and spotless with an excellent shower. Clean fluffy towels available.
Breakfast in the morning was served under the covered terrace and was absolutely delicious, with a variety of different breakfast foods - including French toast made fresh for us. The hosts had gone out of their way to provide gluten free bread for me. One of the best places we have stayed in France on our travels and would definitely recommend!
Le Pigeonnier de la Farge is a little off the beaten track but is well worth the detour.
Nothing!!

Amazing, unique stay in the middle of nature. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, you can tell they take pride in what they do. Luxurious pool and setting, comfortable room, delicious dinner (if you're there on one of the days they provide dinner, do yourself a favour and make a reservation - beats any restaurant in the area) and lovely breakfast. They also have mountainbikes available as well as a petanque area.
The bedroom walls were a little bit thin, so depending on if there are other guests and how loud they are, you might hear. So would bring earplugs.

What a beautiful place, nice people, good food and wines. This old cottage in the middle of the woods has a lot of character and is the perfect place to wind down for a few days.

Lovely staff, beautiful location. Lovely gesture of the owner packing a few croissants on our departure day, after not being able to get to breakfast in time.
The lack of wi-fi is a minus, but we were aware of it before we booked.
Maybe a bit more cleanliness in the common (beautiful) outdoor space would have been welcomed. Cushions we a bit dirty, tables too.

Where do I start?! Celine and Thierry are the perfect hosts and have created a little piece of heaven in the forest. The property has been lovingly and sensitively restored and is stunning, with a massive central courtyard and a large communal lounge area on one end. The courtyard is from a picture postcard with beautiful flowers and a manicured lawn. The communal area has lots of comfy chairs and plentiful tea and coffee facilities. This is also where breakfast is served each morning. The rooms and bathrooms/toilets are spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed and bath linens are luxurious and there are complimentary toiletries. There is a kettle in each room and we had a complimentary bottle of water and chocolate-filled madeleines waiting for us when we checked in. The wow feature is the gorgeous outdoor swimming pool and deck, which our rooms overlooked. There are also little outdoor seating nooks, perfect for the long, light evenings. If you fancy, you can play a game of Pétanque (Boules) in an adjoining courtyard. Celine and Thierry look after horses and pigs that you can see just beyond the pool area. The breakfast is also sumptuous. Celine and Thierry were warm and welcoming and we genuinely felt like their (very pampered) house guests. From history of the local area to fantastic restaurant and wine buying recommendations, they have it all. Our whole party would highly recommend staying here including our 11-year-olds!
Nothing at all. It was simply perfect.
