The location was okay.
The caravan was disgusting. Cooker unusable, couldn't sit on the sofa without being covered with bugs, didn't stay left after the first night. When I complained to the owner I was fobbed off, not happy, not happy at all.

The park itself is a fantastic place which is very peaceful with lots of wildlife and beautiful views.
Nature walks and amazing beaches all on your doorstep.
Spacious caravan, nice sized rooms and very comfortable beds.
Firstly this was not our intention to publicly review this caravan but this was our only option when asked by booking.com how our stay was so we had no choice but to highlight our problems on here.
Very disappointed to have another family turn up at our caravan door on our second night telling us they have booked and we need to leave, they said their brother owns the caravan, they hung around for over an hour outside parked next to us which made us feel very uncomfortable and ruined our night.
Caravan quite mucky in parts, we left it cleaner than we found it, stains around fridge, filthy dining table seats in dining area, not very equipped in the kitchen, 1 teaspoon, broken glass in cupboard, no frying pan, basics you should expect!
Sofa bed in lounge area didn't work so couldn't use it and no light in bathroom all week, when we reported this to you we were told to go and buy one and you would reimburse us, why should we do this on our holiday?
Very dangerous broken step up into caravan, missing bottom rung, second one felt like it would break any day.
Outside seating area is not fit for sitting out in with family, cigarette butts laying around and overlooked by what looks like an abandoned, grotty old shack.

The location was superb the area is stunning
There wasn't any shop on the site

The Location, the caravan it's self was nice. Shower was nice too..
You have to take your own towels, we had the get the boiler man out both days as heatin would not come on. Kitchen stuff were not clean. Toaster was full of crums. The cooker only had two working hobs. No working wi-if.
3.3
nothing
raised few complaints that heaters were not working, bad smell in hall and 2 burners not working for stove top. but no one came to resolve those. pathetic customer service
3.3
Good location, everything you require. Will definitely be back.
Screw high on the ensuite bathroom, hurts, once you know it's there, you avoid it

The holiday village and bar are lovely
The caravan had a broken step, tbe cooker had missed nozzles, the caravan was disgusting and dirty all over and beds not changed. We rang the owner and was told he told us si what and we have never had complaints before, and they did nothing, we bought a duvet and cleaning products and cleaned the black mould and dirty caravan, we did not eat there due the cooker and spent a fortune eating out, I fell and cut my knee as the step is unsafe going into the caravan, I am annoyed with booking.com as we could not contact you and was stuck. And the reviews tell you how the step and cooker were broke, we have photos. I want you to phone me on 07512 603553 we have loads of pictures. We are very annoyed with you and the owners for being stuck in a hovel. We are very down

Location
Restaurant was a little expensive
3.3
caravan was spacious and in a lovely location
steps to gain access were a bit uneven and worn and could do replacing
3.3
The accommodation was a caravan which could sleep 4 people.
The gas cooker had a knob falling off. Quite dangerous if there were kids. There was broken glass on a cupboard door. Various light bulbs weren't working. The steps into the caravan were very rickety.

Nothing
We have been misold the caravan it was advertised as having a balcony which it didn't just some scruffy chairs and filthy table with someone's ketchup satchets on it. It was advertised as having a Seaview there was a boating lake with noisy speedboats all day. Inside the caravan was dirty and smells of dogs inside the oven there was a dirty greasy used baking tray and the sofa seating area was broken underneath the cushions the whole experience was dreadful we left a day early.
3.3
Lovely location and ensuite was a nice bonus we didn't know about, lovely to walk down to beach and cafe was amazing for breakfast.
Nice location but main issue was lights not working in hallway of caravan and front step is in need of replacing as it's a bit hazardous

Millom and the surrounding areas are beautiful.
Sunday evening we're all packed and excited for our Mon-Fri holiday booked 6 months previously with this owner. We received a phone call from the owner, in the evening before travelling the next morning, with an implausible story that meant we could no longer have our full weeks holiday! We either have to accept a shorter stay or cancel our holiday! We were left feeling distraught but had no choice but to accept his new terms or not have a holiday at all because this short notice left us with no where to go.
This caused a great deal of upset, stress and anguish to us at a time where as a family we should have been relaxing and looking forward to our family time together.
Booking.com apologised for his lack of integrity and ensured our payment was amended.
I could not book again with this caravan owner. He hasn't demonstrated the usual integrity or care for people's holiday plans that you would expect in these circumstances.

The location was lovely, the beds were comfortable. The shower was amazing
The caravan was full of ants, there was ant & fly spray under the sink so either the last guests brought It or the owners knew this was a problem and haven't done nothing about it. Either way if the last guests left it behind the owners should of seen it under there when they went to check & clean it for me but it was still there.
Numerous lights didn't work.
The outside of the caravan looked disgusting.
Just needs a bit of tlc, I'd be ashamed to rent that caravan out if it was mine!!!!!!!!!

It looks small but plenty of space for 4 people.
Wouldn't want to say. Let's say, some things don't close properly.
3.3
The communication with the owner of the caravan was very poor

We liked the location of caravan that was on the lake edge, Supermarket not far away, Quiet, and it was a reasonable price for the Xmas period, and very relaxing, nice walks, and ground staff very helpful !! when we ran out of gas ,Thankyou,,,
Our only dislike and this is not a complaint as such . is lounge carpet not very clean and stained and could do with replacing with a darker brown colour as looked very tired, and could do with extra kitchen utensils such as a whisk and wooden spoon for cooking and making gravy , apart from those little things it was great Thanks !!
3.3
Location and cleanliness, quite
, Not much to do this time of year, but ok as a base to explore
3.3
we went self catering and had our meals away from site
3.3
High standard, spacious and good location
It was excellent- we would love to come back
3.3
The van on inside spotlessly clean, quiet location, ideally located for exploring, near to beach bars and shops, everyone extremely friendly. I would stay on this park again.
The caravan is looking tired and dated, no decking/veranda as thought, steps very rickety leading into caravan, looks over lake from inside but sat outside you are at the back with no view, beds and furnishings could do with new, I.e. bedding cushions.
3.3
Excellent location on the site next to the marina. Spacious inside the property. Friendly people on site staff and residents. Excellent little ice cream van a short walk away that you seriously can’t go past without having some. Not to far to walk to both parks for children. Nice and secure for the children. Good shower in the van master rooms had a small ensuite.
Downside was no welcoming pack with information how to use cooker /park facilities etc. Fridge could be bigger and the steps to access the accommodations needs updating no rubbish bins in bathroom for female toiletries and attention to detail could improve for final check on the cleaning.
