House was nice and spacious as advertised. It was very clean upon arrival. We rented a boat slip and golf cart. Golf cart in very rough shape and was not charged when we arrived. Boat slip is across the canal so you have to go all the way around the boat landing to get to your boat, which is a pain with coolers and gear. But, would still recommend that house as it supplied for a comfortable get away. Wifi is very spotty, so be prepare!

Joan was an amazing host and accommodating when a tropical storm disrupted our initial plans. Joan called me right away and we worked it out. We were able to reschedule and I am so glad we did. The house was the perfect size for our group and close to everything in Homasassa. We also utilized a boat slip which was super convenient for scalloping. It was clean, had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again. Thank you Joan!

This property exceeded our expectations. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay. They even texted me about local fireworks that would be on display that we could watch from the dock on the property. There are kayaks, fishing poles, beach chairs, a grill, bikes and a golf cart all for use while staying there. The golf cart is an extra charge but is definitely worth it! Overall i would rate this a 10 out of 10. This is a beautiful home with all of the amenities and then some. Would stay here again!

This house was exactly as the description. It was perfect for our group including our young daughter. The boat ramp and slip was ideal for busy scallop season. It was amazing to rent the golf cart for easy hauling of gear and people back and forth to the boat. The house itself was clean and very comfortable. We loved the screened in porches. We will absolutely be back!

The River House was the perfect spot to launch kayaks, fish from the dock, play tennis and basketball and ride bikes. The house was immaculate and the parking was easy. Our family of 7 had plenty of space.

Came up to scallop with my wife and daughter and her friend. This place made us feel like we were staying at home. Other then striking out in the scalloping this year we had a great time and would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to spend time away from home and still feel at home. We spent 5 days here, scalloping and enjoying the river. The house is luxurious and modern. Check in instructions were complete and we didn't need any assistance from the owners, though they are very quick to respond to any questions. This is probably one of the better situations you'll find if you're bringing a boat. The canal is sufficiently wide for any boat you'd want to bring here, as is the slip. The slip is on the other side of the canal so there's a short walk. We briefly stopped on the near side of the canal on our first day to load some heavier items. Great place, great owners, great location!

We were happy with everything: exactly as advertised, the neighborhood is quiet, nice view of the river, we enjoyed all 3 screened in porches with fans, the kayaks and bikes were a nice addition, the house had everything you need, good beds, AC worked perfectly, prompt communication with hosts and yes we would stay again!

This is a great house that is well decorated and maintained. Our visit was to be close to an elderly parent while having our own space for down time. My regret was that I was not able to enjoy the kayaks or bicycles provided. A nice glass of wine on the screened in porches was a highlight. Communication was great and I hope to be able to enjoy the house in the future.

We have been traveling to Homosassa for decades and this house is the nicest we have ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive everything is first class. Don't be dissuade that the house isn't on that canal, it's actually better. The master has a view of the open river! The bedrooms are next door to a wooded multi acre parcel and the wildlife is right there. At night, the frogs and crickets serenade you and the view of the wilderness from the windows is beautiful. We have stayed in two other units in the Tradewinds and they don't compare. We booked next year already and we never book the same place twice, but we did now, and we travel using VRBO five or more times every year. We travel with boats and golf carts and this house is perfect. Book this place if you can right away, it is truly the best.

My friends and I had a blast staying here for a few days! The house is very large and spacious and has everything you need! I especially loved that we were able to use the boat ramp and slip prior to check in and get some extra time on the water! Joan was so responsive and answered any questions very quickly! Will definitely be booking again in upcoming years!

100% happy with this house on the river. Great for boaters--boat ramp on site, docks are fine and protected. Very close to the Homosassa River swimming area and easy access to gulf. House is super well equipped and the screened porches add living space. Also very close to the Old Homosassa area restaurants and bars--close enough to bike or boat. Will be back for sure.
