About this cottage rental

Pet friendly, newly renovated 3 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom cottage in the heart of Mount Beauty. Next to the golf course and a short walk to the lake or the main street for shopping. A large deck overlooking the garden and town perfect for entertaining and eating out doors. Cottage garden has private and shady areas with out door seating to share a quiet drink. Cottage is a 40 minute drive to Falls Creek Resort. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking at home, with full sized dishwasher, fridge and oven. Laundry contains washing machine and dryer. Split System heating and cooling. Living area contains large couches and library with large wall TV. Free WiFi. Bathroom is new with shower over a deep bath. Linen is provided. Small to medium well trained dogs are most welcome. Beds are new chiropractic approved with medium feel and pillow top.

Winter Escape

Mount Beauty is the closest off mountain accommodation to Falls Creek. With a vibrant town there is plenty to do even for non skiers. You will find the house conveniently located 30km from Falls Creek Resort, just at the base of the mountain and very close to the centre of town. The shops are walking distance, so too is the lake, golf course and bike tracks. There are a number of restaurants in town catering to all tastes from fine dining to pub food and take away. The house has a library if your perfect holiday includes reading a book, there is also a newsagent in town. The house is heated via a split system in the main living area and heaters in the bedrooms, there are also ceiling fans to distribute heat throughout the house.

Warmer Months

Mount Beauty is a hive of activity in summer, you can fish or ski at the lake in town. There is also the river with so many beautiful spots to swim fish and picnic (don't forget the lilo if you have one). Mount Beauty is known for both road bike riding and mountain bike riders. There are so many days trip options you will wish you have stayed longer, wineries, bush walking tracks, restaurants, gift shops. Do not forget the golf course, show up on Saturday or Wednesday for a competition with the locals, or play casually. Gardens, cafes, wineries, brewery, canoeing choice is yours. The house has a lovely garden you will always find a shady spot to sit on a hot day.

Leah sets a great example of how to treat her guests. Clear instructions on entry; treats left for guests; complimentary condiments; house heated and lit on entry; comfy beds and a high level of cleanliness. Along with the region's many attractions and beautiful environment, my only regret is not staying longer. Thanks for a great stay Leah!

Nice quiet location near the golf club. We did a trail race at Falls Creek so this house was located at the base of the mountain. 40 minute drive to the top of Falls Creek. House was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

The house is within walking distance to the center of town with well equiped kitchen, two toilets and a deck out the back that is fantastic for spending an afternoon. Plenty of room for two couples.

An older property that was well set up. Staying were my husband, 85 yo mother, daughter and her husband and 1 yo. Visiting were other family members staying nearby and the house was well set up for this. The deck was lovely in the sunshine. Those of us not skiing took lovely drives and walks, visiting surrounding towns in the Keira and Ovens Callie’s.

Location was excellent, accommodation is very comfortable, outdoor deck areas and pathways need clearing of all leaves to really appreciate sitting out on the decks on a sunny afternoon. Overall a great stay.

Venue is close to the road on the way to Fall Creek but away from noise, so easy to rest after. I would like to see a drying room or some rakes in the laundry to hang gear. That would help to reduce gear being on the floor. and make drying for ski gear more easy to achieve.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mount Beauty Garden Cottage. Leah, our host was great to deal with and her lovely home was very comfortable, heating was great as it was the middle of winter, cleanliness was a stand out & all the small touches (lights & heating on when we arrived, chocolates & snacks) made our stay very memorable. Dear Leah, we had a wonderful, restful week at your property. The cottage is clean, warm and spacious for a large family or a group of friends. We love cooking, and we found everything we needed in your kitchen. With the large variety of good quality books and board games, you made sure that your guests are well looked after even on rainy days. It was great to see the children reading again! Very comfortable

Our family of 3 stayed in this lovely property for a short break. The house is large and comfortable, and could easily accommodate 6 people. Favourite features are the sun room and the sofas. So many short stays have 1 tiny uncomfortable sofa, but this house has many places to lounge! The kitchen is functional and well stocked with cooking hardware. The reverse cycle A/C and heaters in the bedrooms keep the house warm. Mt Beauty is gorgeous, particularly with the autumn colours, and we did some great hiking. This is a lovely house to return to after a day of exertion. Many thanks to Leah for being flexible with our change in circumstance.

Fantastic Easter break

Fantastic Easter break

Our family of 4 with our 2 dogs and another couple had 4 fabulous nights in this lovely little house. We spent each day mountain biking the amazing trails of Mt Beauty and spent the late afternoon on the lovely deck enjoying some cold drinks and drinking in the beautiful clean air and gazing at the views. The house was nice and clean with everything we needed and really comfy beds after big active days. So many lovely walks with the dogs and a great meal at the local pub. The back shed was perfect for storing our bikes and the location was absolutely perfect. We didn't need to use the car once which was brilliant. We will be back!!
