About this house rental
Summary:
With beautiful hardwoods, spacious, comfortable communal spaces, and a gourmet kitchen, guests can take advantage of entertaining at home or exploring the bars and restaurants of the tree-lined Highlands and Edgewater neighborhoods. Heading to the mountains for the day? Sloan's Lake is your ideal home base for alpine adventures, with easy access to i70. Very close to Denver favorites Cultura, El Chingon, and Tap & Burger.
The Space:
This light-filled, renovated mid-century modern is just a block and a half away from Sloan's Lake with its lush park and running trails. Our home is accessible by keypad. Inside of the space, guests will find clean, modern design, four good-sized bedrooms, a large living room, fully-stocked, gourmet kitchen, laundry room, and two beautiful custom bathrooms. We have a large yard and private patio. There's plenty of off-street parking!
The Neighborhood:
A few years ago, a trip to Sloan’s Lake was all about the water: fishing the marina, paddling the scenic shoreline, and, of course, enjoying the famed Dragon Boat Festival. Today, the lake isn’t the neighborhood’s only attraction, thanks to a slew of cultural additions. Shops and restaurants have turned part of West 29th Avenue into a walkable strip, while developments like the Lakehouse condo community on the former site of St. Anthony’s Hospital are transforming the area near West Colfax. All you’ll need to enjoy the neighborhood are some comfy shoes and an empty stomach.
A construction boom has also characterized the Sloan's Lake neighborhood in recent years, with a flurry of both single-family homes and apartment units being built. Houses range from historical Victorian home plans to cozy bungalows, contemporary duplexes, and modern condos giving Sloan’s Lake residents an eclectic neighborhood drive and homes for all tastes.
Young professionals and young families tend to settle around Sloan’s Lake for its proximity to downtown Denver, the lovely lake and parks, and boutique shopping and dining experiences.
Sloan’s Lake is the second largest park in Denver, calculated at 177 acres, and has its own Marina for those who enjoy boating sports. The neighborhood surrounding the lake is undergoing a large population boom, and quickly filling with many new and exciting restaurants and breweries.
Edgewater sits to the west of Sloan’s Lake and offers a quaint selection of eateries, Joyride Brewery, Coda Coffee Shop, US Thai, pubs, and more. Just North is a local hotspot known as Highlands Square. Highlands Square is filled with trendy boutiques, coffee shops, cafes, artisan eateries, Mondo Vinos premier liquor and wine shop, Sweet Cows homemade ice cream, and much more. SloHi (where Sloan’s Lake meets the Highlands) presents even more opportunity for coffee consumers, handcrafted bagels, cycling enthusiasts, and a selection of English cask beer from Hogshead Brewery.
Getting Around:
For those who do not have their own car, I recommend utilizing Lyft or Uber. There is also a few community share programs for cars, such as Turo and Car2Go.

Check in and check out easy. Great communication. Everything as expected. Great location near restaurants and grocery store. Lovely Sloans lake nearby to walk around. I was a bit concerned when it said street parking but there was never any issues with that and always an available spot right in front. We felt safe staying there. Brita water pitcher with cold water in fridge was a welcome addition. Might suggest ear plugs if you sleep downstairs and are sensitive to floors beings a tad creaky overhead if you are the late sleeper otherwise it was great for two couples traveling together. Love the big tv’s in every bedroom as well as the Texas decor… go Astros!!!

The property was clean and about half an hour away from Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Denver airport. Management was very prompt when I had a question. We really enjoyed our stay!

Owner provided enough towels for our entire family. Air conditioning was turned on before our arrival. Very nice accommodations. Thank you for the preparation and fore thought.

The stay started with having no power for the first couple of hours, but after the power came on everything worked out wonderfully! Location was perfect! Walked around Sloan Lake the first morning and enjoyed the close proximity to my sisters house where we celebrated her nuptials!
5 stars from everyone in my party! Highly recommend this location!

The property was clean, comfortable and roomy.
4.5
Nice property but not for young children. Steep stair, no gate.

Went on a guys trip to see a concert in red rocks. This is walking distance to lots of restaurants and pubs/breweries around the Sloan lake area. Pretty close to downtown as well.
4.5
We came for some concerts at Red Rocks and met up with family. The place was in the perfect location for that and the proximity to Sloan’s Lake, breweries and the Tennyson district. We loved getting to experience it all like a Denver local. We definitely want to come back!
4.5
We had various commitments all over the city but enjoyed time making dinner and being social when in the house. Loved the trail around Sloan’s lake! Beds were very comfortable and we each had our own space. Very nice weekend!

Great place

We were in town for businesss and this was conveniently located close to downtown.
4.5
The place was close to where we needed to be and clean enough. The carpets were stained in several places. We had TV issues....we had to stream everything we wanted to watch. Remotes not all working or Missing batteries.
No lock on the back gate....it snowed while were there and there were Random feet prints in the snow. We assume someone came in the yard and slept by the furnace unit on the patio furniture.
All the windows in the unit were unlocked. The back door needs a blind/curtain so strangers can not see in.
4.5
The property itself is beautiful! Really close to the market, fast food if you'd like to grab a quick bite! When my group and I first stepped inside the property, we were all so mesmerized with how clean and cozy it felt. Honestly would recommend coming here again!

The property was as described in the listing. It was clean and close to the Denver stadium which was great for getting to the Broncos game.
The only negative was we could not figure out why some of the sockets were not working but overall it was great.
Very clean

The property was very clean and nice. I would say if you are a person who likes to be under blankets on the couch, bring a few extra. Our car got left unlocked (kids) and someone decided to check it out. Fortunately we had nothing of value in the car. They did take our gum, pretzels, and earmuffs (why?). No damage done though. All and all it was a good trip nice place

Great location for a long weekend in Denver.

Overall it was a good experience. I didn’t realize when booking that check out was 10:00 am. That feels very early. When I asked for a late check out, the management property wasn’t able to accommodate because the cleaning service was under staffed and needed to get into our property asap. That was really frustrating to hear the reason. I would expect an 11 or 12:00 check out. The house isn’t that big and a 5 hour window for cleaning seems a bit excessive.
Management company was pretty good and responsive. The 4th bedroom has a twin size bed in it. Very noisy for an adult to sleep in. The frame is whicker and you hear every sound as people move. I would have liked to of realized that the house was two levels and a shared wall with another unit. That wasn’t very clear in the listing. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two in the basement. There are two living rooms and none of the TVs in the other rooms worked. Even after plugging them in, we couldn’t figure it out. Overall , nothing was a huge impact. The space was good and accommodating for our needs. Would have had 5 stars for better expectations coming into the property.
4.5
Great place over all! Walking distance to a few things and only 10 minute Uber to get us down town. Parking was a little tricky but read the signs and your good. Nothin fancy but everything you need and everything worked.
4.5
It was a great stay, the only downfall is the location. It is so close to Colfax and there were people without homes talking to my daughters.
4.5
We enjoyed our stay in Denver. We were able to take advantage of the lake and use the rental scooters. Local shops and eateries were a short walk or drive away.
4.5
The location of the stay is alright. We were driving home at night after dinner and they’re were kind of creepy people standing in the middle of the road and staring at our vehicle. The house also has an alley way that neighbors frequent. Otherwise, the location was great. I believe this location can fit about 7 adults comfortably. Our of our 8, one of the adults took the couch. But that’s no problem. The kitchen had things that we could use. And napkins & toilet paper were stocked up for our use. The management team was amazing. They kept checking up on us during our stay and even messaged us after. 5/5 for customer service.
4.5
Plenty of space for 4 adults - a bedroom for each.
Good location for easy access to city and Red Rocks.
4.5
The place was perfect! Myself and 7 other friends from college were all totally comfortable here! Everyone slept great! Three of us got our own bed, two shared a king, and 3 were on couches but we were all very comfortable! Downtown was a 15 minute Uber, Red Rocks was a 20 minute drive, Boulder was a 30 minute drive, and Rocky Mountain National Park was a scenic 1.5 hour drive. All super easy! There is a Walgreens, 24/7 McDonalds, liquor store, and grocery store all within walking distance! If your goal is explore Denver then it's a perfect place! Thanks so much!
4.5
Super cute house with tons of beds and outdoor patio. Perfect for a quick getaway with friends!
4.5
This property is not a stand alone unit. It is attached to another until (basically duplex style). Parking can be challenging since it can only be done on the street. Nice location and very clean. Most attractions within 3-5 miles.
4.5
House was perfect for your group of friends. Loved the spot and hope to rent it again in the future.
4.5
We enjoyed our stay at the house, it has everything our family needed for a short stay in Denver. The house is conveniently located, fairly close to all the attractions and downtown, the lake and the park is just a block away.
A few things can be improved. Upper left bedroom mattress is very lumpy and uncomfortable, I has to move to a downstairs small bedroom with a twin bed to get some sleep. The upper left bedroom is very cold too compared to the rest of the house even with the door open. We found only 5 tea/ coffee mugs, the house that sleeps 8 should have more.
Broken foot pedal on the trash bin is a bit annoying, since you you have to step on that protruding metal piece with a bare foot( no shoes inside). The house could benefit from a deep cleaning from time to time ( windows, window tracks and all the areas that don't get touched with regular cleanings). Area around the house was dirty and window wells full of trash. We were not worried about it though, didn't expect much for the price.
4.5
We arrived at night and needed a little help finding the right place, but past that, it was an excellent stay. Everyone had a room with a TV. The entire house was set up nicely. The beds were comfortable, and the house layout was perfect for us. We had four guys attending the NCAA basketball games, and the location made it easy for us. If I go back to Denver, I am going to stay here.
4.5
Had a great time. It was close to the venue. Exactly what we needed for a night
4.5
Property was exactly as described. Street parking was easy but required moving cars occasionally.
Felt like two living spaces with an abundance of TVs.
The kitchen was well equipped to make meals and a great table for games and eating.
The neighborhood is eclectic to say the least with a walk to Sloane lake to the north and a bit rough further south ... but very peaceful and safe feeling at night.
4.5
We had a great stay. The house is beautifully updated. We had 6 stay. We fou f it very cozy where our family could be all together. Only complaint is the listing showed 5 total beds which we needed as my adult boys wont share beds any longer. But the couch was comfy.
4.5
It is a nice place and a good location for red rocks activities, I wasn’t prepared for the amount of homeless but we didn’t have any trouble
4.5
The property was in a great location and very comfortable.. the basement was a great to place to hang out and wine down. Would definitely stay again
4.5
Worked great for our quick trip to Denver. House was clean and communication with the management company was smooth and easy. Would recommend. Thanks
4.5
Everything was exactly how we expected and more. The house was very clean and organized, and the welcome binder was very helpful in getting around town. Would highly recommend!
4.5
The house actually has stairs leading to two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small lounge downstairs. It is a newly remodeled place with nice kitchen and bath. Plumbing issues were resolved quickly and emails/phone calls were answered quickly. We did have a forced delayed arrival as the management company had to do a deep cleaning from the previous tenant though. It was disappointing that nothing was offered as a thank you for our compliance.
4.5
We weren’t in Denver for a game but the location is perfect for that. We came with teenagers who had scheduled college tour. It’s a good location for that too. The house is clean and very well appointed. The owner seems to have thought of most everything. We would stay here again.
4.5
The location was amazing. Right in the middle of everything. But the property was not clean. Towels and sheets were stacked on a couch, mold on the shower floor, the shower leaked causing the frame to warp, and one of the pillows was dirty.
