The Resort is oceanfront with courtyard pool. The villas surround the magnificent pool. Our 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1,150 square foot first floor modern villa at the Placencia Resort is situated on the beautiful Maya Beach, Northern Peninsula, a short car distance to the quaint village of Placencia.

The villa has a common open concept design, living room, dining room, kitchen and a nice large patio overlooking courtyard/pool/ocean view to enjoy morning coffee or evening nightcap. Free wifi, bicycles, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards is available to guests. The resort is perfectly located for access to both jungle and ocean adventures. Scuba dive or snorkel on the second largest barrier reef in the world, or simply lounge at the pool with its tropical swim-up bar. You can enjoy the three on-site restaurants. One of the restaurants sits over the water at the end of the dock. There are many restaurants near the resort " Bistro" being one of our favorites offering authentic Belizean cuisine. Singing Sands Inn known as Blue Azur. Naia /1981 restaurant serves great breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. Hobbs brewery nearby. In the village, Tipsey Tuna and Barefoot Bar are fun bars with casual setting.
A full day trip to " Ranguana Island" is among a fun activity. Transportation and scheduling is available at the front desk. You can snorkel, kayak, paddle board, sunbathe or just enjoy a hammock nap.
Having gone to Belize for 20 years we are very familiar with places to go, what to do and see. We are happy to assist our guests with logistics and transportation.
Fairly new attraction- Mayan Heights . Google this resort for more information and tour schedule. Well worth the 45 minutes drive to this magnificent 1000 acres site operated “off the grid”

The negative first. This property is NOT where VRBO shows it is on the map. I had picked this spot due to its proximity to the Placencia village. The real location is closer to Maya Beach at the north portion of the peninsula. Having said that, the actual house we stayed at was worth the mix up
The positive; house was beautiful. It was very clean, large, modern and functional. It had everything we needed including an outdoor pool. It’s located at the residences, right across the road from the placencia resort and thus were afforded all resort amenities including a gorgeous pool with swim up bar right on the beach. The beach itself was fine, there was seaweed and while we were there the water wasn’t clear but there are likely times of the year when it could be. There is a beautiful restaurant at the end of a pier that many enjoyed. We found it a bit expensive for what you get but the atmosphere was gorgeous.
Close to our place is the village of maya beach and our favorite restaurant the Bistro was there. Affordable, wonderful food and service, especially from Kenisha, and the peanut brittle ice cream cake was to die for. It also has a grocery store and gas station and ATM.
In Placencia village we at at Ricks which was very good and the Cozy Corner which had wonderful authentic Belizean food. Our property manager was always available and very helpful and our VRBO hosts were super responsive and easy to work with. We had great support

We enjoyed our trip, the condo and property we as advertised except for one important thing, it was advertised as a beachfront unit and was not. There was barely a partial beach view and the condo unit was behind obstructing scrub and pool facilities. However the staff were super friendly and accommodating and our excursion with Waterside Adventures was excellent.

Heaven on earth!
We would’ve given this place six stars out of five if we could! The Placencia resort where this place is located is beautiful and Deborah and Fred were amazing to work with! The place looks exactly like in the pictures! The resort is quiet, beautifully maintained, and the rooms are spacious and the beds were really comfortable. They welcomed us with a drink and had arranged beautiful flowers on our bed the night that we arrived. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. We loved the location of this resort which is outside of Placencia village and we’re so happy that we did not stay in the village. The resort does offer a shuttle to Placencia village a few times a day, or you can take a taxi, or the bus. We rented a car and we’re happy that we did that because it allowed us the freedom to drive to the Village whenever we wanted to, as well as we spent a day at Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and it only cost us five dollar entry for each of us rather than the fee for a tour . We also drove to Mayan king for zip lining, which was about a 30 minute drive from the resort and my son and I got a private zip lining tour! You can’t beat that. We also did a number of dives with Splash Dive Center and we did a one day trip to Ranguana Caye which was fantastic. The snorkeling around Ranguana Caye was beautiful. I highly recommend the Splash Dive Center for diving. We did buy groceries so that we had coffee, cereal and milk for breakfast. We did room service at the resort and the food was very good. We also ate at Maya beach restaurant and Wendy’s in the Village. Deborah and Fred were a pleasure to work with. They quickly answered any questions that I had via email and I actually talked to Deborah the day before we left because I had some additional questions. If you rent this place you will definitely not be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back and rent from Deborah and Fred again!!
