Luxury living just outside Epernay

A magnificent private property, with a beautifully designed house and sprawling garden outlook from our bedroom and the main dining area. Set a few kms out of town so peacefully quiet! We loved our huge room, the most comfortable bed and bathroom including bath. Each of the five rooms were equally stunning and well appointed. Marie was the consummate host, providing interesting history of the property and recommending dinner at a nearby restaurant (Chez Max - a must do!). We finished with a lovely breakfast, chatting with the other guests around a stunning 5m long dining table. Highly recommended if you like the finer touches of a boutique B&B.

Sehr gute Lage für einen Besuch in Épernay, alles war sehr sauber. Ein schöner Garten, eine sehr große Terrasse und ein sehr schöner, moderner Ess-/Loungebereich. Und eine wunderbare, herzliche Gastgeberin. Wir haben viel über Champagner gelernt, gut gegessen und sehr leckeren (und preiswerten) Champagner getrunken.

Das Zimmer war eher klein, eine Kommode / Nachttische haben zur Ablage von Gegenständen gefehlt.

Bel établissement. Excellent accueil. Bon petit-déjeuner.

La salle de bain. Manque d'emplacement de rangement des accessoires. Et surtout la douche. Petit bac avec rideau pas pratique. Inondations assurées. Alors qu'il y avait l'espace pour une belle italienne. Dommage.

Unforgettable

We have had such an amazing time In champagne and to top it off we stayed at Marie’s b&b on the last night. From the moment we stepped into the house we felt at home. Marie was such an amazing host and really made effort with us despite our lack of French ( we will work on it next time) the room was beautiful especially the bathroom- it was quintessential French! It was cleaned to a very high standard and I am a clean freak. There is genuinely nothing I can fault, It’s a place you absolutely must go!

There was nothing we didn’t like however a tip from ourselves would be to book a restaurant in Ay for dinner which is only a 5 minute drive away! Avarum is meant to be divine.

Great base for Champagne region

What a lovely place to stay - not far from Ay (half hour flat walking along the towpath of a picturesque canal) and a large garden to relax in. We had a fantastic welcome by our host. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We were in the one room (Lily) which overlooked the car park with no terrace, unlike the other rooms on the ground floor. The room itself was beautiful though.

Excellent accommodation with space outside to sit. Lovely garden, and spacious communal area. Excellent breakfast. We had dinner one night which was excellent and good value. Very pleasant stay, and would recommend and possibly stay again if in this area

Great breakfast, light and airy house, lovely garden, wonderful host. Great tips for eating out, sorted from chic to more informal - all good eats, and highly relevant recommendations for sightseeing tailored to our length of stay.

lovely stay ..welcomed and looked after by Marie, a very kind host..will stay again!!

comfortable modern and very clean room ! lots of space! Marie, the host was very attentive and very helpful with all our questions about where to visit while in the area..we followed her instructions and were very pleased..the breakfast was delicious, plenty of hot water for bathing/shower....lovely grounds...secure gate ....lots of space to sit in the sun...you can walk into the small local town where there is a path along a river..unfortunately covid forced some closures ie. restos, stores. ..great stopover point if you are in the region and want to break away from the chaos ...on the hiway and just a few minutes drive to Epernay..will definitely stay if in the region again..we originally booked one night ,but we were so impressed by the accommodations and area , we stayed another night..
