Great b&b, just a short walk from Dolgellau centre and shops. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Thank you Colin and Lisa for a fabulous stay at Borthwen. It had everything we wanted for a perfect holiday. Wonderful soft sheets, beautiful views, lovely birds on the bird feeder, including a woodpecker at one point. Breakfast was perfect, accommodation was spotless. Would fully recommend to everyone.

Fabulous accommodation, fabulous location, fabulous breakfast!

Fabulous location close to Dolgellau but still very peaceful and in beautiful gardens. Lovely welcome from the host, Lisa. Beautiful room, absolutely spotless, very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked and fabulous quality ingredients. Loved the fresh strawberries and blueberries too! We would definitely stay here again- just perfect !

Lovely, quiet and relaxing accommodation, great for views, friendly hosts and breakfast!

The hosts were very friendly! Breakfast was lovely and the view when having breakfast is amazing! Mountains, birds on the bird feeder, what more is there. The room was amazing, water pressure was one of the best, even including a rain shower! We even had a booklet that gave us information of the area. Hosts even have recommendations on where to visit, the waterfalls were amazing!

Situated with amazing views across the valley. The place was extremely comfortable and Colin and Lisa were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. A great find and hope to return soon.

This was our second time at Borthwen B&B and our experience was excellent as the first one. The location is fantastic, the room was spacious and very clean with all the necessary and more. Breakfast was delicious. Our dog also loved it. Thank you for everything! We hope to come back again soon. Letizia, Andrea and Ray.

Lovely views and short walk to village

Nice B& B only 4 rooms available, been done up by current owners so every thing new and clean. Car parking good.

No socket by the side of bed. Bed a little low, due the eaves.

Wasn’t there long enough. Great knowledgeable hosts, definately want to return.

Dog friendly, blanket and bowls provided for our 4 legged friend. Location was perfect for our needs.

The only thing if I were being really picky, an extra accessible socket at bedside for charging phone overnight so not having to walk to turn morning alarm off. Very lazy of me I know.

Superb B&B,friendly,welcoming and perfect.

Great setting and great views. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming . The B&B was lovely with a very homely feel,it had great facilities and our room was amazing. It was spotless and had all we needed. The bathroom was great with a superb shower and toiletries included. Can't fault anything,it was perfect.

As future neighbours it is reassuring to know that others have the same high standards as we do.

Lisa and Colin were excellent hosts and have done a great job renovating the property which sits in a beautiful location a few minutes from the town centre. Our dog, Bomber, was made to feel as welcome as we were and thoroughly enjoyed the prepositioned water bowl and blanket in our room.

Location and Hosts

The hosts are lovely people, Colin and Lisa have got a little gem on there hands in a great location for exploring or just to relax. The room and other areas were very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast each morning. Nothing was to much to ask and even laid out a blanket, towel and water bowl ready for our pooch when we arrived. Thanks for a lovely stay

A relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.

Location was beautiful. Lovely seating areas some overlooking the gardens with fabulous views. A short walk into the town made it very convenient. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. The owners were very approachable and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts in a beautiful setting

Wonderful hosts, who go out of their way to help and make you feel at ease. Great breakfasts, pre ordered the day before making it quicker in the morning so you can enjoy the day sooner. Beautiful views, including that of the lovely bird feeder and pretty gardens, we could have watched the birds all day at times. Comfy room, well appointed with everything we needed for our week's stay. The hosts even provided champagne glasses with strawberries as it was my birthday. Access to walks right on the door step and plenty further afield. Great run trails nearby and cycle routes to explore. Lots of info provided at the B&B by shared guest fridge which was a bonus to have. Close enough to town for meals out (10 minute walk) but far enough not to feel in the middle of it all (book places in advance as town is busy in peak season). Would highly recommend staying here for the warm welcome alone.
