Our room was very stylish and very clean. Love that you could easily get fresh milk for tea and coffee. Staff very friendly. For the price I paid, I've stayed in some awful places, so I was delighted by comparison. Awesome shower and big bathroom, too.
Not great sound proofing. Room was a bit too warm.

Room was clean, comfortable and nice. Breakfast was tasty. Good parking and we managed to park easily
We booked a table for dinner both nights of our stay. On returning from a long day's walk we returned to have a drink in the bar before heading for a shower. The restaurant manager met us at the door and said "Do you have a table booked?" I advised we did for later but we were just going to have a drink for now. There were about 5 empty tables. He told us they were full and if we wanted to have a drink we would need to go outside (it was raining). When I said we were residents he said we were "Welcome" to take our drinks to our bedroom. They need a residents lounge if this is the case. The place is big enough to accommodate one

Great breakfast. And walk to the lake. And modern, clean room with an enormous bed. And enormous Smart HD TV.

Great location, very clean and lovely rooms.
The overnight stay was due to us going on a guided walk. This got cancelled due to bad weather forecast but the hotel wouldn’t refund us or provide a credit note. Not very flexible.
I found the front of house staff, quite rude cracking jokes and again quite unhelpful as we arrived 45 minutes prior to check in but wouldn’t let us have the room.
The room itself was lovely and very clean, only criticism was, no shower or washing facilities provided and I requested a twin bedded room and got a double bed and bunk beds.

Could have been warned there was a band on but it was Saturday night and we were staying in a busy pub

Clean and vibrant. Food was lovely and staff were so friendly and attentive. Already booked to go back with the kids next year. Great value. Great location.
Smell from the gents toilets as you came out of the bedrooms was overpowering. Pillows were too thick. Small things but best to mention. Otherwise we couldn’t fault our stay. Huge thanks to the staff. You make this place what it is. Well done .

In the heart of a nice little area right next to Ullswater. Perfect for a couple's stay. We took our dog too, and he was more than happy in both the spacious room and the restaurant when eating.
nothing. It was a more than pleasant stay and I couldn't fault the service

I booked this hotel room for my sons 21st birthday and he loved it. I arranged with the staff for a bottle of fizz with note to be in his room on arrival and they did it perfectly !!! Great friendly staff.

I liked the cleanliness very much! Their pub and our rooms (twin and double) looked like just refurbished. Very pretty. Beds were on the firm side and i loved it!
The food was good but it was a bit steap for the quality. Still would go to eat there again but would not go for food. Breakfast, on the other hand - was the best that i had in any hotel all together.

fantastic location and lovely staff
noisy at night as we were above the bar, perhaps to be expected, however the music performed by a man was not to our taste
