About this house rental

Updated home centrally located in the heart of mid-town KC. Enjoy this turn of the century home that has been retrofitted with all of today's amenities. Walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars in vibrant Westport. The country club plaza & KC's restaurant row (39th Street) are one mile away. The Cross Roads District & Downtown KC (Sprint Center, Power & Light, The Midland Theater, etc) are all a quick 5 minute ride. This home is centrally located which gives you easy access to everything you want to do!

The house can accommodate 8 people extremely comfortably, 10 people comfortably and 12 gets a little tight but is do-able.

Westport is an eclectic area, known for the Westport entertainment area, with festive brewpubs, DJ bars, speakeasies, street level patios, roof top decks and retro-chic diners serving American comfort food. During the day, the scene centers on trendy fashion boutiques, vibrant streets, music and a lively atmosphere. Centrally located in the heart of the city.

All of Westport is walkable from the House. The plaza is one mile to the South and 39th Street’s restaurant row is one mile to the West. Ubers and taxis are very easy to get. The new street car is a quick 5 minute ride away at Union Station / Crown Center.

This home provides a driveway for guests to have off street parking.

The house can comfortably accommodate 10-12 people and has enough linens, towels, etc for 12 people. The smart TV has Roku.

If your group is larger than 12, send me a message, there are other potential options including overflowing into my 2 bedroom, 2 bath house that is one block over. Message me for more information.

Please read the house rules. If a house rule is not followed (especially smoking or parties) you will be subject to a minimum charge of $150 per occurrence. Also, if the correct number of guests are not reflected in your reservation requests, you will owe the extra guest fees of $20 per person per night for each guest over your reservation number. You will also be subject to a minimum charge of $150 for stating an inaccurate number of guests in your reservation. The definition of a guest is any person who enters the home. Please contact me with any questions regarding any house rule. Special arrangements for additional guests can be made with written consent.

Our family was in town for a wedding and all stayed at this house. The area is being revitalized so there is a lot of construction and empty storefronts nearby. We walked to several restaurants and coffee places only a few blocks away. This area will really shine once all the construction and new stores are completed. Would stay here again!

There were 6 of us for a getaway weekend in KC. This home is very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped/stocked. Comfy beds and linens were a plus.We enjoyed the large dining room table and chairs, not only for breakfast and planning our outings, but also for evening card games and snacks. the large screen tv was great for watching the Kentucky Derby! A short drive to nearby attractions- Harry S.Truman library was a highlight. Thank you Jason for your communication and hospitality!

The home was a great fit for a group of us in town for a Chiefs game. Easy to walk down to Westport’s bars, restaurants, and shops (but definitely not the safest feeling neighborhood). Quick drives or Ubers to downtown, KCK, and various BBQ spots and breweries (try Slap’s and Alma Mader). House was clean, well-stocked, and Jason was very responsive.

Was very pleased with our stay and the property. It was well big enough to accommodate 6 adult males comfortably. Everything we could have needed was provided on site. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the Kansas City area!

Great location for a group of friends to enjoy a long weekend in KC. We hit up the football game, the racetrack and the local restaurants/bars. Everything was accessible and the home was perfect for four guests.

The VRBO was clean and tidy with all the amenities needed. The master bathroom was amazing. The beds were comfy and all the linens seemed fresh. We appreciated the coffee provided. Overall, staying here was a great experience. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed the layout of the house. The open floorplan was perfect for our group. We spent great family time playing games together. The owner had the house stocked nicely. The location was close enough to walk to some restaurants and bars. We were in town for a Cardinals/Royals game and it was an easy commute to the stadium.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the convention center. The property was great for the 6 of us adults. The neighborhood was great, walkable and there were great food options. If you stay here take a walk to Denver Biscuit Company for breakfast - Amazing! I'd stay here again for sure.

The inside of the house and the property manager were great, 5 stars. However the neighborhood was not what we expected. There was a consistent group of individuals (10-20) who roamed the parking lot 3-4 houses down all hours of the day who did not make you feel very welcomed. The house itself did the trick for what we needed it for, sleeping.

Overall the house was very nice! Don't let the outside spoil a first impression - the inside looks all new. You can walk to the Westport bar area and wasn't far from other attractions. The only down side was that the AC quit working Saturday night. Each of the bedrooms has a ceiling fan and the cooler temperatures that weekend made it so that it was fine.

We loved staying here! The host was great about communicating with us and the house was very clean and had lots of amenities. I will say this house is right between a nicer block and a questionable block, but we never felt unsafe in or outside of the house. Would stay again!

Nice house inside. Outside and yard could use some work. The block itself is a bit questionable, but the home and surrounding homes are nice and the Westport Neighborhood is great. It was a good place that accommodated our group well.

My family and I enjoyed this home away from home during our 4-day stay in Westport, Kansas City area. The house was clean and accurate to the description online. There were plenty of blankets and towels, etc for our needs and kids enjoyed all the unique spaces of a historic home (the closets became their 'secret hideout'). The house was very central to the area and easy to get around with plenty of restaurants, bars and grocery stores nearby.

This house worked perfectly for a combined family weekend in KC. It was conveniently located to Westport, Crossroads, the Plaza, and River Market area. The neighborhood has a lot of variety of homes - some very well kept and others are rundown. This house seems to be the imaginary line where it transitions to the nicer homes.

I booked this place for a girls weekend, which we were wanting to spend time in both Westport and Power and Light District. The house is only a couple minutes from Westport bars/entertainment and 10 minutes from Power & Light. The kitchen/living room area was nice and open to allow us all to sit around, play games, and catch up!

Jason (our host) anticipated every need and proactively followed up even after we'd checked out to see if there were any tips for his next visitor. Beds were comfy, kitchen was divine, and there is very little neighborhood noise. Wonderful stay that also works well with two families--there is plenty of sleeping and bathroom space on both floors.

The house is in a cute neighborhood. The Neighborhood is a bit loud, as it is close to Westport. The furniture is a bit uncomfortable, but the set up is nice. The open concept is great. The bedrooms were all comfy and the bathrooms perfect.

The house was perfect dor our party of 7 adults. Great location, lots of easy to walk to places and everything else was an affordable Uber ride away. The only way it could have been better was if the Cowboys beat the Chiefs! Jason was a great host, always very quickly responsive.

This house worked out really well for our group in town for KC Chiefs game. Plenty of space and well kept. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are great. Full kitchen and laundry are a big plus. Jason is very responsive. Overall a great place.

Me and friends came into town for a Chiefs weekend. The location was perfect with Char Bar in walking distance we did that for dinner on Saturday night. The beds were comfortable and was awesome to have our own kitchen to make a few meals. Highly recommend as the place is super well done, cozy and in good location!
