About this house rental

This is a two bedroom, two bathroom NON-SMOKING condo that has a bourbon barrel theme. It is located in the heart of downtown Lexington in the Historical district. It has 4 Smart T.V.'s, Gas Fire place, Sub Zero clear glass front Refrigerator, 8 Burner Wolf Gas Range & oven, Sub Zero Microwave Drawer, Granite Counter tops, Large elegant Farm house sink, and more! Pets are allowed up to 80 pounds. Cats must be declawed. Pet Deposit Required.
Owner asks for guest to send Copy of AKC Registration or Certificate/Letter from Vet to verify breed.
Late check out fees:
No Charge for late check out IF Approved and up until Noon.
$50 late check out fee from 30 minutes past check out to 2pm
Half Night charged for late check out after 2pm to 5pm
Any time after 5pm guest will be charged for a full nights stay.
Quite hours are 10pm on Weekdays and 12 Midnight on Weekends.
If police have to be called for a noise violation there will be a charge of $250 fee.
Smoking of any kind is NOT permitted in Condo or outside the front door. If you smoke you must be at least 12ft away from the front door. If smoking of any kind is found there will be a $500 charge.

We choose this property because of the proximity to the event we were attending. Perfect distance and almost perfect location. Love the condo very much! It was so comfortable and clean. The property manager was responsive when I emailed her and very kind and professional. It was a good experience but it’s located close to a bar and the loud dance music was played until 4am on Saturday night. It was very hard to sleep in the bedroom closet to the street. Im not sure I’d choose this property again, unless I was ready to embrace the party next door.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was conveniently located to our work event as well as gave us great access to downtown. We were able to walk almost everywhere. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Convenient to downtown and great parts of Lexington. A bit loud midnight - 2am and blackout shades not blackout enough. BUT, great hospitality, clean and great kitchen if you plan on cooking. Make sure you register in advance every car.

Great location but some cautions

This is a nice place. Parking was not unexpectedly a little challenging. The facility appears to be a former commercial space renovated so the bathrooms are a little different as neither connect to bedrooms. The main issue is the Hookah Lounge which unfortunately is open until 4am and apparently plays music until then. The south bedroom has the bass from the music. The host has provided white noise machines which does help somewhat. Overall nice place but just be aware.

Budget amenities in high-end space

The photos of this property, including the high-end appliances, give the impression of a luxury Vrbo. Unfortunately, there are exposed wires, non-functional outlets, broken/stained furniture, and very little thought given to providing supplies and typical conveniences. Examples: no bedside tables or lamps in one of the bedrooms; empty hand soap dispensers that were not refilled; low quality paper products (TP and paper towels) in short supply; and an inadequate amount of cooking utensils and pots and pans. Parking spaces are very tight. Several times we returned to the unit to find the spaces in front of the unit taken up by double-parked vehicles. Overflowing dumpster is directly in front of unit.

Property was nice appliances were top notch, however the cooking pots pans and utensils were barely adequate. The second bedroom had no nightstands or lamps, and detracted from the overall comfort of the property. For the price we expected more and were a little disappointed.

Security could be a perceived issue for some as at backs into an alley if that is an a concern or are lack of kitchen utensils - yet on good news side there are great appliances - but simple utensils like mixing bowels , etc are mot present in our opinion to make a meal . This could be easily remedied with a quick trip to target - the view of trash dumpsters. security concerns , and common noises will be harder . Best of luck and nice job on picking appliances .

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bourbon barrel condo. A great space. Location was phenomenal. Easy walk to the downtown area or to the University as well. Only potential negative for some folks might be the ground floor location. The windows are exposed to the street level, but there are shades that provide plenty of privacy.

Great place to stay. It clean, up to date and surprisingly quiet. A little tricky to find and parking is tight if you drive a full size pick up. Overall though it was a great stay. The only 2 drawbacks to our stay was seeing the handy man and the lawn care workers relieve themselves on/behind the dumpster in broad daylight throughout the week and the gentleman that seemed to work in the complex that checked to see if the doors were locked each day. He would try the door each afternoon.

We came to visit our daughter who attends University of Kentucky. We can say enough nice things about this condo. Location was PERFECT. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, etc. The property was impeccably clean and supplies were more than starter supplies. Would DEFINITELY stay again!

Great stay for two couples interested in bourbon tasting and good food. Located in a fun neighborhood with great bars, restaurants and wonderful local folks. We had a blast. The condo is well appointed and beautiful.
