I have stayed in this building before, a different condo, and I can say this one was a great surprise, it was large and had an open concept living / kitchen area. The patio is huge and wraps around so you can also see the mountains. The furniture / beds / sofa / patio set were all very nice, as was the washer / dryer and bathrooms.
The patio is a bit noisy, but that is what you trade off for being right in the middle of town and can walk everywhere. Loved the place and will definitely be back!

First of all, the "ocean view" is a joke. The picture they show on the listing is about 5% of the view that is actually of A/C units on the building in front & tarps on the roof on the dilapidated building across the street. I wish I could upload the real photo. The only table & chairs are outside on the lanai, but you are not able to use it past 9pm unless you sit in silence. Apparently, the daily leaf blowers before 8am, the truck emptying the dumpster almost daily at 3am, the noise from the restaurant next door early in the morning, the constant motorcycles with loud pipes driving not only on the main street but the side street right next to the bedroom and the car alarm sounding for 10 minutes at 7am doesn't bother the HOA but us outside after 9 does. The rental co was very nice and easy to deal with, but I will not stay there again bc of the HOA. We have stayed at many places in multiple states and have never had any issues or noise complaints before, but this property must be next to an HOA officer since they camped out by our walkway one night as an intimidation tactic when got back from dinner. Neither bathroom is attached to a bedroom. 2 beach chairs, umbrella, towels & cooler were provided. The beds were OK, the A/C was great and the kitchen was stocked but do yourself a favor and rent a unit on the side next to the church. We had family staying there and it was super peaceful. The location is convenient, but don't stay on the front side facing the street.

We have stayed at other nice properties in this building during prior visits to the Big Island, but will now ALWAYS book this specific unit! Spacious and beautifully decorated, with EVERY possible amenity thoughtfully provided - from sunscreen lotions, snorkle masks and coolers, to a generous supply of bath and beach towels, dish and clothes washer soaps, and a kitchen very well stocked with cooking supplies. Newer appliances all in great condition. The air conditioning was so comfortable to come "home" too after warm days in the sun. We could tell the cleaning crew used is top-notch - we didn't even feel a spec of sand beneath our feet when walking barefoot across the cool tiled floors (and we also cared well for the property and avoided tracking sand into the unit), and all counters and surfaces free of any grime. Comfortable beds, lots of storage space, great living room layout for socializing. And the deck-balcony - whoa! HUGE, wrap around with access from both the living room and the master bedroom. We enjoyed meals outside on the covered balcony (shelter from the sun and occasional shower), watching the passerbuys on the quaint shopping street and a bonus was the nice view of the water as well. Overall, the best stay we have had on our travels to the Islands! Thank you!

We loved staying here. Every thing was short walking distance in town. Outside of town 90 minutes got you to everything you want to see from green beach to very top of Mauna Kea. Plan on returning next year and other than a few days in Hilo hope to return to this condo!

The location is good for access to shops, etc. on Ali’i Drive but a bit overpriced for what you get. For example, there are several fancy hotels nearby that have a daily rate per person for less and with more amenities as long as you don’t want to cook.

Great location . You could walk to Kailua bay, restaurants a plenty and tons of shopping. Condo had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We used the beach chairs and umbrella. Lanai was a great place to sit and relax and people watch.

We ended up staying at another property, because of a problem with the AC at Kona Plaza. Response was quick, professional and friendly when we called the emergency line to report this. Fortunately there were options for staying at another property within the the Elite Pacific group and we were able to check into the alternate property within an hour. Second property was beautiful.

This condo is clean and well equipped, with many supplies such as soap, laundry detergents provided. It also has a partial view of the ocean from the living room, kitchen or balcony. Also centrally located, it’s a short walk to the beach and many shops and restaurants.

Kitchen was very well equipped. Cleanliness was good except for the one bathroom. It drained very poorly and there was soap scum that we had to clean before using the shower in the bathtub bathroom. Owners did good job equipping outside items as well. Hallway was dark so we had to use phones to get enough light to enter key code.

This place is just what we needed for the Hilo side of the island. A couple restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to Volcanoes National Park. The place was very clean and had a wonderful view. As others have mentioned the numbers on the stove have worn off but otherwise a very nice place. Felt safe, well lit, and experienced no issues during our stay.

Take extreme caution with the sliding door out of the living room. It has a warning that you could get locked out if closed hard...we did, with no phones. Thankful for the neighbor...she saved us!

Great location - nice accommodations
Right in the heart of Kona. Great location for two couples to split off on their own and also hang out on the lanai to watch the swimmers in the Kona bay each morning or walk over and snorkel. The property is nicely appointed with everything we needed in the kitchen (even a blender) plus snorkel gear, beach stuff and a cooler for a beach day. Property manager was awesome too. We had a great week.

Quick trip to Kailua-Kona
This 2 bed/2 bath condo on a lower floor is a stone’s throw to the shops and restaurants of Kailua-Kona. There are glimpses of an ocean view from the living area. It’s well appointed and comfortable. The big downside is that a compressor on the roof of a neighboring building is very loud. Conversations on the lanai are difficult. Sleeping without earplugs in the larger bedroom is impossible. The clothes dryer was not working properly. Elite provided us with contact numbers that were not attended. We had instructions to first go to the condo office. Nobody was there. But all necessary keys and passes had been left for us in the condo. Why not just tell us that?

Great property. Clean and nicely decorated. The lanai was our favorite place to sit in the morning and view the outrigger. Canoes in the harbor. A great feature is the covered parking under the building. We spent two weeks enjoying day trips around the island . There was everything one could want or need in Kona and so convenient to be in the heart of it all. We have stayed at this property 4 times and look forward to returning.

Kona plaza is at great location on Big Island. The property is clean and well-maintained. The property description accurate regarding the location and amenities. The only thing that Boundless Hawaii could improve is to provide adequate and accurate information regarding parking. The check-in time was 4pm. The customer service was closed at 4h30 or 5pm. By the time, we arrived and was ready to check in, we could not find any information about the parking. The app provided us with garage passcode, there were limited numbered stalls. We did not want any parking tickets or car being towed during vacation. We called but the customer service was closed. It took us 3 phone calls to be able to get the emergency phone number to call. However, the after hour customer service did not even know exact information about the parking. He told us to park in the stall number 201 (as number of condo), but there was no number 201. Finally, he called us back after 5-10 minutes and said we could park anywhere in the garage, no need parking permit. The next day, we saw some cars having permits on their dashboard. I went straight to the leasing office. They told us to register our rental car to avoid tickets and she told us upper parking lot for loading only. It was very frustrated when we just arrived with excitement and desperation for a relaxing time. Finally, we got over it since the place was just like it described with all the snorkeling and beach gear. Kitchen was well-supplied. Of course, we definitely recommended this place but we recommend Boundless Hawaii to provide better information about the parking and better customer service in term of communication (quick and friendly). I emailed and got back with unfriendly tone email.

Relax and chill
The location is great, walking distance to Kona town, next to Kona pier. Interior was clean and neat. There were enough supplies in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. We like that there were snorkeling and beach gears available. We enjoyed and have a good time.
The reason we gave 4 stars because of lack instructions and communication. There were no instructions on how and where to park. They provided the code to get into the garage but they couldn't tell where we should park even after we called and asked. At first, they told us to park lot number 201, the same with the condo number. However, we couldn't find any number 201 in the garage. It was very frustrated when we just arrived and wanted to get some rest. It was not easy and quick to get a hold of someone when call 8777825662 because Boundless Hawaii office is closed around 4:30 or 5pm. The check-in time is 4pm. By the time, we got there and tried to check-in, they were closed. We had to call at least 3 to 4 times to get after hour contact phone number and the person who answered the call was not sure where we should park. He finally told us ok to park anywhere in the garage. Then the next day, we saw some cars having a parking permit paper on their dash. We went straight to the plaza office and ask them. The manager told us that we needed to register during our stay and we are not allowed to park on the street level which was for loading zone. None of parking instructions was provided to us on the app Hospitality.
We still recommended this place for the cleanliness, convenience and well-supplies. I would also recommend that you should ask for detailed instructions about parking prior to arrival for a smooth and pleasant stay.

The unit floor was not clean and very stick, we had to wash the floor as soon as we got there. When we to out a comforter out of the closet it was dirty and the other one was also dirty and had blood on it when we left we left them on the couch with a note to cleaning staff. The manger of the complex was wonderful, Melissa. We we contacted the management about the coffee machine and blender not working the replaced it immediately. Thankyou

Great location
The location was fantastic. We really enjoyed the lanai and being within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the beach. We even saw dolphins in the bay one morning. The beds were comfortable and the condo is well laid out. They had good beach towels, some beach equipment and a washer dryer which is a huge bonus. My only suggestion would be for a light and ceiling fan in the master bedroom. It did get a bit warm in there even with two fans going. The AC was fine in the rest of the unit and the other bedroom was nice and comfortable. There wasn’t much noise from cars but there was some noise from the local businesses leaf blowing early in the morning. All in all a great stay and we would recommend.
