Lovely local family-run homestay!

This homestay is run by such a lovely family and they made me feel welcome and part of the family! The house is spacious and modern, and the small budget bedroom which I rented was perfect for one person. The room and bathroom were both really clean and had everything you need for a short stay. I enjoyed being a little away from the busy centre of Darjeeling.

The weather was bad during my stay - be aware that the room has no heating. But once you're in bed you have an electric blanket and thick duvets so it's warm. You have to take a shared taxi into Darjeeling (30 rupees and about 20 minutes) But during high season there's a lot of traffic and it can take longer.

A very good homestay and very pleasant and helpful hosts.. WiFi was excellent, hot shower great in morning and warm bedding for the cold nights.

Not really a dislike but it's a fair walk into Darjeeling though there is a constant stream of shared taxis for 30r right outside the homestay so squeeze in and enjoy the company of the locals.

We visited Darjeeling with our kids 7 years and 1 year old. The house is located conveniently at a walking distance from Ghoom railway station and Batasia loop. The rooms and beds were clean. The electric blankets provided some respite from the chilly Darjeeling evenings and nights. The hosts were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to order food as per our convenience. Overall highly recommended from my side.

No real negative experience for us. A welcome addition will be a room heater during winter season.

Perfect place for a short stay near Darjeeling.

Perfect place to stay and chill out. Away from city noise and crowd. Close to famous Batasia Loop. Owner is very caring and helpful. Excellent food served with reasonable price ( you won't get in darjeeling in that price). View from balcony is awesome. Will surely recommend this property.

Best homestay

Food, hospitality and the suggestions for my travel just made my trip awesome. The proximity to places like batasia loop, ghoom monastery, peace pagoda is really an advantage of staying here. One can also easily commute to other prominent places in darjeeling.

If u visit Darjeeling , this is the place to stay.

I liked the family they were awsome, and ofc very friendly. Ooof the food, those aloo parathas were so good ! The loc is very good, the view was fantastic. We were provided with heating blankets, wifi was there. Even if you are a 4 or 5 member family your stay would be damm comfortable. They literally can give you anything you need.

Initially we were little apprehensive about our son's hotel booking as it was his first unplanned solo trip..But through booking.com, fortunately we found bestest homestay - Langdak because it was like as if you are staying at your home's comfort and we became tension free as soon as he checked in..Awesome people and very friendly behaviour...Strongly recommends to everyone...

It was first time for me to have a homestay experience. Way better than my imagination. I went solo. The lady managing the place is smart amd intelligent. Had a wonderful tea on arrival as well in the evening on request. Wonderful. Breakfast was basic and delicious. Geyser did it's job. Had a comfy sleep. Uncle gave good tips for local sightseeing. Being a tourist, getting to speak to local family means a lot me.

Nothing as such. Post booking, I didn't looked at the address in the booking.com booking email. Instead followed Google maps. Somehow that was not showing the correct location. The lady guided me properly. Just get down at Rai Villa batasya on the way up to Darjeeling.
