Convivial hosts, very tasty breakfast and dinner, strategically located 200-300 m away from the entrance to the Wardzia Monastery.

Best spot to be for a visit to the cave city. Only 300m walk. Tamara the host and cook is a wonderful person. She made the best breakfast omelet I ever had. The dog Bobby is a marvel.
The Vardzia valley late spring is one of the most beautiful places in the world...
The bed was not good and there was a constant smell of sewer in the room coming from the bathroom. All night long...

Location: phenomenal for visiting Vardzia, it is literally 100m from the entrance. The guesthouse is on the riverfront, under some old trees facing the mountains. Owner Gela is extremely hospitable (as is a custom in Georgia), ready to provide you with stories of local lore, food and home wine (for which he will charge city prices 😉) We spent a pleasant evening drinking wine, eating Khachapuri and watching the sun set over the mountains.
The guesthouse is VERY rustic, bordering on camp-like. Rooms are small, dark, cold, and furnishing is extremely basic. Comforts are minimal at best, fact that I felt was not reflected in the price. As long as you are ready for a camping-style stay on your way to or from Vardzia, with a gregarious owner and plenty of Georgian hospitality on the bank of river Kura, you will be fine here.

Excellent location, 5 minutes walking to the caves. It is basic but has everything a traveller needs. Friendly people. The woman can speak english. No WIFI but mobile internet coverage.

The property is great, nice view and very peaceful, the owners are extremely nice and cute pets running around the property, a short walk from the caves and a restaurant highly recommend this place

Thank you for the nice and pleasure stay at your guesthouse! It is a very lovely and peaceful place, ideal when visiting Wardzia.
We loved the dog Bobbi and the little black cat!

We were welcomed by very friendly hosts and they even invited us to share a glass of wine with them. The location by the river and very close to the caves at Vardzia was great. The breakfast was delicious, especially the omelette! The room was ok - it had everything we needed and no more - as you would expect for this price.
There was a slight drain smell in the room. There was no curtain or blind and a bright light on outside all night - not a big problem, but may bother some.

Extremely friendly, helpful, and hospitable host. We loved his dog Bobby! Great food (don’t miss their homemade dinner!). 5 min walk to the cave town. Beautiful surroundings. Rustic but clean rooms. We would always come back!
This is a rural place so things like the wifi are not as readily available as they would be in an urban guesthouse. We would recommend to manage expectations accordingly.

The location just could not be better.
The room was clean. The breakfast was just excellent. but the best thing about the guesthouse was the host, Gela! what a character!

Great host, great food. Super Location - very calm.
The beds - mattresses were really bad. Better to sleep on the ground ;-)

The location right by the Vardzia cave monastery is unbeatable if you don't have a car. There is a garden / green space and place to pitch a tent if you have one. The proprietor was friendly and offered us a free coffee in the morning.
The beds were old, with sagging springs. The shower did not work at all (broken tube). This is a recurrent comment so it seems the owner does not care. No breakfast before 9 am possible.

Close to cave town
If you like basic standard with tap instead of shower, thousands of insects and owner who doesn't even try to be nice, maybe you will enjoy. I didn't. For my "Hello" he answered: "ni pojemaju"

Very nice lady helping the grumpy owner and preparing good food. Location is good.
Grumpy owner at arrival. Room is very basic and not very confortable. Best to stay at Tmogvi if you can.

We were picked up by our host at the bus station and very warmly welcomed. The guest house is just 5 minutes away from the entrance of Vardzia. The weather was very rainy, but we made it through with hot tea, a fire and stories provided by our host in the community area. The next day it cleared up and we could visit Varzia without a problem.

Location was excellent, just 3 minutes' walk from the Entrance of Vardzia Caves. The owner was very friendly, open and hospitable, gave us a lot of useful information about this area. He has an amazing dog Boby who loves to play with tourists with pinecones

Excellent hosts with a fenominal location close to the monastery in the mountains. Great food and the host even showed me a nearby swimmingpool with hot water from the ground. I felt like I was part of their family. I will definitely stay there again.

For the price, the accommodation is very basic, but the location is the best in Vardzia and the staff were so wonderful, kind and dedicated that they deserve a full 10! The owner does not speak much English, but the hostess Tamara can translate. The restaurant is not open, but Tamara cooked delicious dinners and breakfasts on demand. The little dog is also adorable. I had a wonderful stay ❤️🙏.

Sada is great - so close to the caves, a two minute walk, if that. It's on the banks of a brook (stream? river?), which makes for a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are basic, but completely adequate. You'll almost certainly want to get breakfast and dinner, as the cook is just amazing. More delicious food at every meal than you could possibly eat, though we tried our hardest. She definitely knows what she's doing. Everyone was gracious and lovely at Sada, including Bobby the dog wanted nothing more than to play fetch with one of the thousand pine cones on the property. Our arms were sore the next day from throwing; he's adorable....and tireless.

It’s got a great spot right next to Vardzia. The private bathroom is nice because a lot of guest houses in Georgia don’t have that.
I was expecting more based on all the great reviews. Booking.com says there is AC in the rooms and there definitely is not. Beds were very uncomfortable. Wifi doesn’t work in the rooms because of the thick stone walls. The restaurant looked like it had been closed for years, not jus my due to Covid (luckily the Vardzia Cafe is within walking distance). The owner seemed friendly enough but didn’t speak a word of English beyond “problem?”. We wanted to ask for a fan but wifi was down at the time and we couldn’t communicate with him. I think I’d try somewhere else if I came back to Vardzia.

Fanstastic location just 2 minutes from the caves. Very friendly owner but speaks no English.
The mattress was really old and completely unconfortable.

Very close to Vardzia, we went later in the evening to see it lit, friendly host greeted us with wine and tea. Nice little rooms with bathroom next to the river.
Heating would be nice in the rooms, everything else was great thank you!

Amazing location - short of staying in the caves themselves you couldn't get any close to the entrance to Vardzia monastery!
Very friendly owners with a menagerie or super cute kittens, puppies etc that provided us constant delight throughout our stay.
Shower fitting was a little loose requiring it to be held in one hand and water pressure was a little low.
