Beautiful place! Plenty of room for kids to play outside! Loved fishing in the pond and playing in the stream in back! Close to town and linville falls for hiking! Scott the owner was very kind and helpful with things to do in the area! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the property! There was plenty of room for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the dining spaces were huge! We had fun watching the tadpoles in the pond and listening to the bullfrogs from the porch at night. It was a very convenient location, close to Blowing Rock and Boone. Scott, the host, was readily available when I had questions. It was the perfect space for our big family to make some wonderful memories!

This house was perfect, and even prettier in person. My parents in their 60's complimented the details and comfortable bedding, My spouse and I loved how spread out the space was, My teenager loved the downstairs retreat, my 10 year old loved ping pong and eating outside on the large covered porch, and our dog loved the pond and creek on the property. This house was the perfect cozy mountain get away, complete with a warm fireplace and light dusting of snow during our stay. Scott was a very communicable host, and we hope to stay again sometime!

We went with another family to enjoy New Year's in the Blowing Rock area. The check in process was fantastic and the property owner was amazing. Scott (the property owner) was supper attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The house was a perfect fit for our group of 8. We enjoyed New Year's Eve at the house and had a fantastic night of dinner and games. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with supplies. On New Year's day we had a fun time tubing at Hawksnest!
We hope to visit this home again in the future!

I spent a couple of days during Christmas vacation here. It's a beautiful house with character.
Scott the owner of the house was quite responsive.
Only concern was that the room on the basement was a bit colder on the first night. There is a radiator in there but it has to run for a long time before the room starts getting warmer.
Overall we had a great time. There are lots of board games and even a ping pong table for a bit of indoor fun.

The location of the house was perfect. Beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. The owner of the property was very responsive to any questions. VRBO never responded to any questions so we were glad the property owner was very quick to reply.

We loved the location. It was close to Blowing Rock but remote and quiet. There was plenty of parking. We loved the living room area and the way the open floor layout allowed everyone to be together whether they were in the kitchen dining or living room areas. The gas fireplace was a big hit.

Home was beautiful, easily accessible and convenient. Well furnished with a fully stocked kitchen. Owner was flexible and great to work with.

Great place to stay. So close to everything you want or need, yet secluded and peaceful. Host could not have been better, very communicative and quick to respond. I feel confident they would have handle any issue quickly if we had come up with one. Want to recommend, yet would like to keep it a secret :)

Great house, good location 10 minutes outside of downtown Blowing Rock. Very private. Cozy set up.

Very nice house that was perfect for a family gathering. Open floor plan and deck space were perfect for getting everyone together. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen has plenty of supplies except for pots. Kitchen cabinets are low and block view to living room but kitchen is a good size.

All three king-size beds were amazing. It’s hard to find rentals with great mattresses. We cooked dinner in every night and we had plenty of dishes, pots and pans to cook. The Washer, dryer and refrigerator are all brand new. The front yard was perfect for the kids to play. The location was also amazing. A mile from beautiful hikes and easy access to restaurants and grocery shopping. We would stay here again. The owner was a great communicator and check in was smooth

Plenty of room for our family. 7 adults and 5 grandkids 5 and under. Large common table on front deck was well used. Gate at steps made watching the kids easy. Well stocked kitchen. Owner very responsive. Wonderful stay located in the heart of a very beautiful mountain area.

Home owner/ manager was so helpful and pleasant and answered our questions immediately- so responsive and kind.
This house is perfect for our family consisting of 6 adults, 3 children ( 8 and under) plus a baby. The house was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of cooking supplies for a group like ours and the outside was amazing. Wonderful under cover area for the one day it rained and we opened the windows the rest of the trip because it was so cool outside. The kiddos loved catching and releasing the tadpoles in the pond and it kept them so busy. The adults could relax and let them play with no worries. It has a cute little stream in the back also. The fire pit area was perfect for s’mores. The gas grill was wonderful too.
I’ve never rented a better cabin/ home in this area and we’ve been coming up here for decades.
We will definitely return!

This is a very clean and well appointed property. Everyone enjoyed walking around the pond and watching the frogs jump in. The house is set back from the road and feels very private. It was very easy to talk to Scott, the owner. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We once again had a fabulous experience staying at this property. The owner is very responsive. The house is clean and well maintained. We really love that the property is flat and easy to access without 4 wheel drive (and this is the second time we’ve stayed there on a weekend it snowed!). The proximity to blowing rock and activities in the area is perfect. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

My family stayed over Christmas and everyone loved the house. Spacious, large rooms, plenty of extra blankets, kitchen well stocked, large dining table, warm gas logs. We were there during super low temps of -6 degrees with -25 wind chill and the house was toasty upstairs and the downstairs did ok with the extra space heater. We battled cold drafts under the downstairs doors and placed barrier there - but it was -25 windchill and the wind was strong. The little kids still enjoyed sledding (short durations) and the large mudroom entry to the basement was perfect for leaving wet boots. The snowy roads were decent to navigate - curvy but generally flat out of Blowing Rock to the house, especially compared to other rentals. We had 4WD. (We chose it specifically for ease of access.). Communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful house! It is off the parkway, and away from things, but also close to drive to. Owner is great to work with and attentive to communications! Would definitely rebook!

Our family had a great time here -- there is plenty of space, plenty of parking, comfortable beds (all three king-sized!), well-stocked kitchen, beautiful butterfly-filled garden, great outdoor dining with hardly any bugs, and very clean which is important to me. We built a fire one night, and no one was bothered by mosquitoes even with the pond close by. We played many lively rounds of ping pong downstairs. It was close to Tweetsie RR and Grandfather Mountain, and fairly close to downtown Blowing Rock. The only down part was that one of the bedrooms (ours) was downstairs, which is really a basement. It was damp and smelled like a basement. We ran the dehumidifier almost continuously. However, I could find no trace of mold, everything was very clean, and the dampness didn't bother my husband.

The house was perfect for our friends/family vacation. We had an epic ping pong tournament (which sadly, I did not win). Scott was so great to communicate and very understanding and easy to work with. 5 stars from our family. Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked very well and actually probably better than my own kitchen. There was plenty of linens/towels for our group of 11. We loved the covered porch off of the kitchen as we were still able to enjoy it when a few afternoon rain showers came through! We also enjoyed having s’mores by the firepit and the ping pong table was a hit with the kids. This house was very clean and the owner was very easy to communicate with and always responded back promptly with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking to find a rental in this area!
