The Olive Gate Guest House.... A Reborn Classic historic home in downtown Paso Robles. This 1920's home with welcoming red accents throughout is completely remodeled on the inside in contemporary style, leading to a sense of playfulness and fun found in few rentals. This Paso Robles classic comes with stylish furniture and artwork that makes you feel as though you are in a designer update on a classic home. One bedroom downstairs off the living area and two bedrooms upstairs. The large backyard with multiple patio seating areas makes this the perfect home for entertaining friends and enjoying a Mid-Coast evening in the comfort of your own private space. Enjoy all the comforts and convenience of home in a memorable location. An easy stroll past picket fence yards to world class restaurants, shopping, wine-tasting rooms, antiques stores, and movie theatres. A visit to Paso Robles and The Olive Gate is immersing yourself in our friendly, simpler lifestyle. Hospitality is the town's middle name. Everything went great. We had a few friends join us for a few days exploring the wineries. The house is nicer in person and the location was great. It was just 2 streets away from downtown so enjoyed some great dinners as well. We will stay here again.

Overall good experience. Has very steep stairs that may present an issue for some. Some stale smell of having had a smoker in the unit prior. Dissolved as stayed in unit but could smell each time entered home. Older home but clean and great amenities, towels, shampoo etc.

This house was perfect for us - great location an easy 5 minute walk to the town square, lots of space, clean, amazing huge backyard, and everything you need for a great weekend. The check in process was easy and the office was very helpful letting us store bags before check-in. Will book again in the future!

Cute home, very clean. Awesome backyard was great for enjoying during the evening. Dog friendly. Super close to downtown, easy walk to restaurants. Always happy with PRVR, we have used them before and they do an awesome job.

The home was clean and well appointed. We had a bit of an A/C issue during the recent heat wave. Paso Robles Vacation Rentals was very responsive and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure our vacation wasn't ruined. I would highly recommend renting any property from them.

Very nicely furnished home with a great backyard. The location is perfect for walking to city square. The stairs are steep, but one lovely large bedroom upstairs and a dormer room with 2 twin beds are upstairs with a double sink bath. We had everything we needed except Kleenex. Loved the coffee assortment!

We loved staying at Olive Gate. The home was cozy with everything we needed. The front porch and front yard are picturesque and the backyard is fabulous. We spent many evenings out there sitting around a fire and playing cards. It’s situated just blocks from the main downtown area with lots of restaurants, bars and wine tasting. We will definitely be interested in staying here again in the future.

Ladies weekend in Paso. Such great easy walk to downtown for some wonderful meals and shopping. Close to wineries and Tin City too. The management company was easy to work with. The electronic check-in and check-out board was convenient. Definitely a find!

Property was good as advertised. Good location that we were able to walk to downtown during the day and night. Spent most of the time hopping different restaurants and wine bars downtown. House all the amenities if you wanted to hang around inside or outside. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside was the stairs seemed a little to steep for us 30-something guys. Overall, I would recommend the place and use it again.

Just as listed, very clean, well stocked kitchen, back yard is very nice but we caught a rainy weekend but it looks great for hanging on a spring/summer/fall night. Convenient to downtown park/ coffee/eateries.
Queen beds were nicely made and firm. Bedroom one and three a little tiny bit over all this house was super cute and comfortable.

The Olive guest cottage was wonderful! Great location, easy walk to shopping and restaurants. House and yard were immaculate! Cozy and beautifully decorated! Back yard was so inviting! Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so weren’t able to enjoy it. We had an amazing stay here and would definitely come back again!

We stayed at Olive Gate for a long weekend. We have two dogs and are always looking for rentals with fenced in yards and places to relax and socialize outside. Olive Gate had beautiful front and back yards completely fenced in and quite a few areas to mingle outside. The location was great and in walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants downtown. The house was clean, well decorated, and even though the house is older it had modern furniture and appliances. One item to note is that the largest beds are Queen sized which was a tight squeeze for us and the dogs. Overall we had a great stay!

Marvelous house for our stay in Paso Robles. Do be aware that the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are up a flights of very steep stairs. This place is set up to make your stay very comfortable.

This home was a wonderful place to stay while my girlfriends and I all celebrated our 40th birthdays. The home is in walking distance to downtown-restaurants, coffee shops, liquor stores, etc. The family room was a perfect gathering area to just sit and talk. It was a little too hot this weekend to utilize the backyard for long, but in cooler weather that would have been the best hang out spot. The house was clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

The guest house was so charming! The location was perfect for morning walks to get coffee. This is the first rental we have stayed at that had more than enough toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. The kitchen was very well stocked if you’ll be cooking. The house was clean with plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable. The only negative was the upstairs bedroom with two beds was very warm. We had our daughter sleep on the pullout couch due to the temperature. She said it was pretty comfy. We would definitely stay at the guest house again! The house was so inviting and the yard was beautiful. I would highly recommend this beautiful guest house!

The house is in a nice location and well kept. However, the house next door was under construction from 7AM to 3PM and this was not disclosed ahead of time. I would be sure and ask about this ahead of time if you do not want to hear construction noise at 7 AM. Otherwise the house was lovely.

Our recent stay at the Olive Gate Guest House was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charming and well-maintained property. It provided everything we needed for a memorable and comfortable vacation. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
First and foremost, the outdoor living space was a dream come true. The ample space, complete with a fire pit and BBQ, made our evenings cozy and enjoyable. Another highlight of the yard was that it was fully fenced and secure for our furry companions. Our dog had a blast exploring the space, and we had peace of mind knowing he was safe.
The location of the property was another standout feature. Being within walking distance to downtown Paso was incredibly convenient. We enjoyed strolling through the charming streets, exploring local shops, and soaking up the scenery of the park.
Additionally, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the VRBO were impressive. The property was spotless, and it was obvious that the owners take pride in providing a wonderful guest experience. Our party of four used two of the three bedrooms, which both had queen beds, one upstairs and one downstairs. The third available bedroom upstairs had two twin beds. (As others reviews have mentioned, the stairs are steeper than normal, which was not a problem for us, but my elderly parents wouldn’t have been able to take the bedroom upstairs.) The kitchen was well-appointed, with all of the dishes and utensils we needed to cook meals

When we arrived, the house looked exactly how it was shown in the photos on the listing, and everything was clean and ready to go for our stay.We loved the house hub mounted on the wall with property info, as well as food recommendations and map directions, super helpful!We didn't need to interact with the owner or property manager since everything was all set and we didn't run into any issues. I would definitely recommend this property to folks going to Paso Robles and am already planning to stay here again!
