The property is two separate 2 bedroom / 1 bath homes (one up and one downstairs) plus an OPTIONAL private separate 5th bedroom / 3rd bath King suite w/ laundry room! This suite is billed at $150 a night after booking for groups larger than 8, or any group may add the optional suite to their booking. Stay all together under one roof but have your OWN PRIVATE space!

The Prickly Pear was a perfect base for an annual gathering of 50-something gals. It was comfortable and cute and well-equipped. We loved the outdoor spaces and amenities. Glen was immediately responsive to our questions. I felt like I had hit a home run by choosing this property for my out-of-state friends to enjoy along with all the Verde Valley has to offer.

This space is fantastic for a group! We instantly felt at home. It has a great set up with nice indoor and outdoor areas to gather while everyone had their private space to escape as needed.
The location is ideal as it is walkable to the restaurants and tasting rooms of Old Town.
While we didnt prepare any meals in, the kitchens appeared to be fully stocked.

REALLY great property! The hosts were very nice and they provide wonderful amenities that I have not received at other places Iāve stayed. Snacks, razors, toothbrushes, bottles of water. Everything is fresh and clean. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. (Go to Colts for breakfast)

Six of us stayed in the Prickly Pear house which is two separate units, one with stairs and a balcony, one with a ramp made of pavers. We split three in each house. So thankful for the ADA compliance since one of our gals was was having trouble getting around. Both units were absolutely great, walking distance to Old Town, well decorated, well stocked, and had enough space in the one without stairs that we could all sit around one table and play cards/games or eat all together. We had a great time. Hosts were great. Already talking about coming again next year!

I booked the Prickly Pear Guest House to house my entire family for an Anniversary Weekend with a surprise 60th Birthday Party for my Husband. With 9 adults aging from 32 to 89 these accommodations worked beautifully!
The ramp access for my Father in Law was superb, the penthouse patio was perfect for my daughter and her husband and their meditation needs, and the main house was the best setting for our family dinner on our first night!

If you are looking for a place to stay with a larger group of friends that is walking distance to all the amazing restaurants and bars in Cottonwood....this is it! The house is perfect with plenty of space and a cute outdoor gathering area . Communication with Glen was incredibly fast. When a problem arose with our most previous stay it was remedied in literally minutes. We have stayed at this place multiple times for a reason!

We stayed at this property with a few of our friends and absolutely fell in love. Perfect location for a walk down to old town Cottonwood tasting rooms, or get picked up for a tour of wine country in our own backyard of Arizona. I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in my lifetime, and I have to put this one in my most appreciated category. If you are spending time in Cottonwood. Clarkdale or even Sedona. the location is perfect, right on Main Street. The layout allowed several family members to stay together but have their own space as well. The house is historic and meticulously renovated. I highly reccommend it!

Iāve stayed in a LOT of vacation rentals over the years and this one has it all! It looks they had a vacation rental expert come in and do up the place - tasteful decorations, a welcoming local snack, etc. The spaces are generous, flexible and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Kitchens and bathrooms are well stocked. SO many towels!
The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to help. We had car trouble on the way up and Glen helped us arrange a rental car - on a holiday weekend!
Way above and beyond in every respect. I will absolutely stay here again if I get the chance.

Great property in historic Cottonwood
Great accommodations and excellent communication with the property manager. We rented the two units each with a full kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. Only thing we missed was having access to a washer and dryer. Easy walk to a cute downtown area and easy access to Sedona and other destinations. We loved our stay and would rent again!

A gem in Cottonwood
The Prickly Pear House was perfect for our girls trip. We absolutely loved this house. The location of the house couldnāt have been better. The decor in the house and in the backyard is charming and inviting. Everything that you could possibly need is provided. One of our ladies had to work part time which made it really nice that the main rental is 2 separate spaces. While she worked, the other 3 of us hung out on the main level. And the communication from the owners was amazing. This place was definitely one of the best rentals that us girls have stayed inā¦and we travel all the time!!! Canāt wait to stay here againā¤ļø

Kim and Glenās space is perfect! We struggled finding a place to accommodate 12 and within budgetā¦ until we found the Prickly Pear. The Prickly Pear blew us away!
We planned a wine tasting trip for 5 couples. Upon arrival, the house was spotless. Plenty of parking for all our big trucks & great outside space for gathering. Inside the cleanliness really shined and all was perfect. From the welcome gifts to the comfort of the home nothing was spared. We had such a fantastic time WALKING to all our favorite wineries and trails. This is the perfect location, perfect layout, and felt like home. Glen & Kristen were so helpful when I couldnāt find my emails from vrbo & cleared any confusion instantly!
We will definitely plan another trip soon and have no doubts on where we want to stay.

Family Wedding in Cottonwood
We had a wonderful experience at the Prickly Pear Guest House! We rented all three spaces, all were extremely clean, decorated beautifully and full of small amenities that made are stay comfortable and cozy - and helped us get settled in, there are always those things you forget to take and they had us covered!
Our daughter was married in Cottonwood at the UVX Ranch, the space downstairs was perfect for the bridesmaids to get ready and we still had plenty of space in the other apartments for my husband and son and little ones to get ready.
The washer and dryer were a huge help. And the outdoor games provided great entertainment for the kids and adults.
The location was awesome - close enough to downtown that we put the little ones in strollers and walked down for ice cream and also had breakfast downtown one day.
We are forever grateful for the wonderful place you provided us to stay for this very special event in our lives and highly recommend anyone and everyone visiting Cottonwood and staying at the Prickly Pear Guest House!

Amazing House And owners
The property was the most beautiful and well equipped Vrbo I have ever visited. There are three separate areas for guests so all had privacy. The common area was large and comfy and accommodated 8 guests easily. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces as much as the indoor. The fire pit and outdoor seating were very comfortable.
The owners were just the best. A text message and they replied quickly and took care of whatever we needed. They were lovely folksā¤ļø It was the best get away ever!

Amazing!
First timers to Cottonwood and this property is THE perfect space. Location is right in the beginning of Old Downtown Cottonwood so you can walk to all the amazing food, tasting rooms and shops. The owners went above and beyond on every detail of this home, and it was by far our best team retreat to date. The kitchens are fully stocked, the beds/bedding very comfortable and we loved learning about the historical factors as well. If you are visting this lovely town you must check out the silent disco in the car wash across the street, the Belfry Brewery and Bocce!
My one suggestion if you are traveling to this area in October- bring the mosquito spray, we were covered in bites!

Perfect Location for a Big Group
Cottonwood has become our go to place to escape Phoenix heat, eat some good food and spend time outdoors. The Prickley Pear House was perfect for our group of 8. Itās walking distance to downtown Cottonwood and all the amazing restaurants and tasting rooms. Thereās a cute outdoor hang out area with cornhole and a firepit that was perfect for ending our nights. Everything was just as described and super clean. If you have a bigger group of friends looking for a spot to stayā¦this is it! You wonāt be disappointed.
