The hotel was well situated in Lisieux and a short 10 minute walk from the train station. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was helpful and delightful.

Breakfast was good; using locally produced products; individually prepared to your liking.

The style of the hotel is perfect. Very comfortable. Would come back.
Bathroom wasn't properly cleaned on my arrival. Toilet bowl not cleaned for some time. Was unable to use cups or glasses in the room as they were not clean.Do not disturb sign was on the door but cleaning staff still came in. Water was replaced , bin in room was emptied but Bathroom still not cleaned. Reported this to reception . Reception apologised to me. Professional cleaners would be the answer to the only flaws of this hotel.

Central location, warm welcome, comfortable and clean. If you like alternative art, you’ll feel very at home!
Asked for an accessible room but got a standard room so could just about access with a wheelchair. Luckily, disabled person was able to transfer to a frame but room was so cramped with twin beds that it was difficult to manoeuvre around it and no hand grips in bathroom or toilet. Upon bringing it to management’s attention, they informed us that did have an accessible room but it wasn’t available. Breakfast was very limited but ok.

Breakfast was excellent: simple & very French with wonderfully delicious & fresh ingredients. Dinners were superb. The en-suite bath/shower was fabulous. The hotel staff were friendly, professional & very helpful.
Parking was a bit tricky, but that could be overcome with patience & a sensible approach.

Rooms are so pretty and well decorated, and very clean! Even though it is on a busy street, it was nice and quiet. Highly recommend!

A fantastic location in the centre of Lisieux

Boutique with clean and eclectic decor. colorful, artsy. clean. Staff was nice and didn’t rush me to check out at a particular time. The owner even drove me to the train station as taxis in Lisieux were hard to find. I would recommend this property to others.

I really liked the people who worked at the hotel and were very friendly. The art look inside hotel was amazing. Location was perfect, close to the train station and in the center of things.
The wifi was very good, however, for some reason it did not allow anything above browsing. Connecting to any streaming or gaming servers was impossible.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Lisieux. Eclectic colorful art evokes Carnival or Mardi gras throughout the property. The attached restaurant is also top rate and provides a generous breakfast.
Bathrooms are well designed for efficiency, but tall or larger people may find them challenging. A small issue for a well thought out remodel of an older space.

The breakfast was a good but basic continental breakfast with a choice of cerealls and juices coffees and range of Teas with cold milk as we were all Irish attending a wedding in a nearby Chateau.
The staff and manager Excellent they treated us extremely well, we felt it was our own Private Hotel, brillant service at all times, very friendly and helpfull, the manager gave us all a lift several times to the local station, helped find cabs which are difficult to find in Liseaux.
It is a small quiet boutique hotel in a central location full of creative art and statuesques an interesting display throughout the hotel, small and medium sized rooms,
The staff ensured we all felt comfortable, relaxed and so well looked after we did not want to leave so soon but really wished to stay longer, but everyone had tight schedules.
if ever in Liseaux or Normandy we will 100 pct stay at this Hotel, we already miss the staff.
10 out of 10 Excellent.

Beautifully decorated hotel in the very center of lovely Lisieux. Small, but very comfortable room - with art everywhere. Really something special. The owner is friendly and even gave us a small Calvados tasting. Good, typically French breakfast.
Most of the staff simply don't speak English, so you'll have to rely on your (in our case) limited mastery of French. We're sorry to say that the dinner in the restaurant was no match for the creative, innovative vibe of the hotel. Restaurant and hotel seem to be two different worlds.

We had a great stay at Villa des Arts. The interior is very special (you are either into this kind of art or your not, but it certainly makes the trip even more remarkable). And whatever your thoughts may be, decoration in our room was very subtle, and accommodations were extremely comfortable, restful and clean.
Staff was perfectly helpful and kind. Also, their recommendations on visiting Lisieux were greatly appreciated.
Last but not least, dinner and breakfast at the hotel were a delight !
Also note that the whole setting was in complete respect of the COVID-19 requirements, making these complex times a bit less impacting.
Villa des Arts, a recommended destination !
