It was very relaxing and a wonderful place to have a vacation!

The cottage was very comfortable and conveniently close to the small downtown area in Salisbury. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the screened porch and also boating on the beautiful lake. It was a great place to explore and relax.

The description of the property says charming and it fits it to a tee! The property was so quiet and park-like. Just spectacular surroundings! The screened porch was wonderful and we had so much fun relaxing in the beautiful lake! We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much for having us,Rindy and Jon, I hope we have the chance to come again!

Very relaxing five-night stay with our granddaughter. Be aware that you need to either bring sheets or launder the sheets provided, and the washer/dryer takes a long time. The canoe and kayaks were great for long morning paddles. Loved the area.

The property was as described and we enjoyed our stay. It is a great location for people that want to enjoy nature and explore. It was very quiet and I enjoyed the view of the lake from the backyard. The screened porch was also a nice feature. I would recommend bringing your own linens though as trying to wash everything before you leave was very loud and time consuming.

Twin Lakes is a very peaceful scenic area to stay. The cottage is welcoming, however, it would have been nice if the outside amenities, including the chairs and boat toys were cleaned and refreshed for new renters. A simple detail such as replacing the old life vests would leave a better impression. The sailboat looks fun online but wasn't easily accessible to get in the water, besides looking quite dirty, so we didn't use it. We enjoyed rowing around in the canoe and rowboat, fishing and enjoying the lakeside views. It's fun to check out the channel which is off to the right of the cottage...about a 5 minute row. We rented a boat at O'Hara's Marina one day which was also fun.
It's better not to wait checkout day to wash linens as the washer/dryer has seen better days. In the end this cottage is really cute and cozy, just needs a little TLC.

Very relaxing place to stay if you are participating in a track event at Limerock Park. Know ahead of time you. are expected to provide your own sheets and towels unless you have time to wash and dry the hosts' sheets and towels. This should be mentioned in the description as this is the first time a host has requested this on any rental I have used on VRBO.

Cozy and relaxing. The screened in porch was wonderful. Great view of lake, no bugs and very comfortable with cushioned chairs and couch. Table where we had snacks and wine. Would love to go back!!!

We had a wonderful time! Cozy house with a wonderful screened porch. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us. Fishing, relaxing, and walks with our dogs. It was perfect. We can’t wait to come back again sometime!! Loved every minute of our stay. Peaceful and private.. perfect ♥️ thank you Rindy and Jon for your hospitality!

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing, comfortable place to stay for a weekend. This house was perfect - and gorgeous right on the lake.

Stayed in Salisbury, CT over the week of Thanksgiving for a massive recharge. It was wonderful.

This was our first visit to the Berkshires and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to see the fall foliage! Rindy and Jon offer a lakefront spot with private pier, canoe, rowboat and kayaks. My husband enjoyed fishing while I read on the screened in porch with a clear view of the lake. Our dog enjoyed playing in the yard and we enjoyed using the fire pit stocked with ample firewood. The house is cozy and comfortable with a big kitchen and open floor plan into the living area. It was a relaxing stay and our hosts were really accommodating in answering questions and providing fishing tools. I would recommend bringing your own sheets and towels instead of trying to wash/dry them before checking out. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to unplug and explore the nearby area!

Place was great. We loved the view and the dock. Close enough to destinations for day trips with our family, but quiet and private to relax after dinner on the deck or dock. Had a great time! Thanks for having us!

Property was comfortable (especially the power recliner!) and as expected, no problems. The lake a bit weedy and fishing not as good as hoped (~8/19).

We just loved this cottage and the lake. It was just perfect. The fishing was fantastic. We will definitely be back. The front porch is so wonderful to sit have a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the lake. Peaceful getaway for sure!

The house was charming and clean. The porch was excellent. The area is beautiful. The reason I booked the house was because it had a row. Boat. I planned to use it to explore the lake and fish. However there was a rowboat but there were no oars to lock in an row. I used canoe paddles but couldn’t get very far The lake had heavy vegetation in our area so it was very difficult to fish and I couldn’t go anywhere else because of the oar situation. Nice house but the overall situation didnt work for me

Lake front and very quiet. Well equipped. Highly recommend. Would suggest bringing own linens and towels. As noted in other reviews it takes a while to wash/dry.

This lovely cottage had a beautiful water view. Our favorite hangout was the screened-in front porch, where we watched a heron perch on the dock for over an hour. Easy access with a ramp that enabled our elderly dog to easily navigate his way in/out of the house. Lots of magazines, books, and puzzles for rainy days. Rained 90% of our stay, but listening to the patter while reading and playing games on the screened-in porch was so relaxing. During sunnier weather, the canoe, kayaks and paddle board and the dock and firepit with Adirondack chairs would have been our go-to places. The owners have thought of everything -- firewood for the pit/fireplace, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, baking/cookware, utensils, and even some spices. Beautiful lawn, both in front and back. Bring lawn games to enjoy. Cottage has been tastefully remodeled and was the perfect size for our family of four. Thank you so much, Rindy and John. We hope to be back for a longer stay in the future!
Warmly,
Linde, Ken, Aurora, Haven and Saxon
Tips: 1) As mentioned in other write-ups, consider bringing your own bed linens and towels, so that you don't need to get up super early to wash/dry them prior to your 10 am checkout. (Washer/drier is a combo system. You can do washing or drying, but not both simultaneously. Without bringing our own linens and towels, we would not have completed the laundry on time.)
2) Bring lawn games -- gorgeous, green lawn perfect for croquet, badminton, lawn tosses, etc.

My wife and I loved the house and location. I wish I owned it myself!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the house. The house has everything you need and was very cozy. You can’t beat the view out the kitchen and screened in porch!
The lake was beautiful and serene. The canoe was heavy but easy enough to take down from the dock and navigate on the water. It was very clean as well and we had fun exploring the different houses on the lake.
We ventured over to Canaan (about a 10 min drive) and had a delicious lunch and played mini golf at Caddie Shack.
The second day we took a longer drive to Great Barrington MA and had a great lunch at The Brewery and did some shopping in town.
We had Deano’s delivery from Lakeville and was delicious. We also enjoyed dinner at Picante’s in Lakeville.
The property is large and very well maintained which made it a nice and safe place to walk our dog around.
We enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit and did some afternoon fishing. Got a couple of bites!
We opted to bring our own linens after reading some previous reviews and happy we did as there would not have been enough time to wash them all had we used the house ones. The washer/dryer is small and you can’t run both functions at the same time so it does take a while.
Overall it was a great place to stay and we can’t wait to come back!

The property is quite charming and the lake is fantastic. We appreciated access to the kayaks and paddleboard for some lake activities. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need for home cooked meals and snacks.

If you’re looking for a quiet lakeside retreat with beautiful views and plenty of lake activities, then this is the place for you. The cabin is well appointed with a screened back porch to enjoy the view even if the weather is bad, as it was in our case. The only drawback is that the mattress is a bit saggy and needs to be replaced, but we adjusted to that as we could. We loved our stay and would stay there again.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Rindy's place. We spent nearly every evening sitting on the dock and loved having the screened in porch for reading and relaxing in the shade during the day. The area was so private and quiet - it was just what we were looking for. We loved being able to have our dog with us and made the most of being on the water and having a paddleboard and the ability to just go for a swim. We both work remotely and the wifi was fast enough for us to take video calls and do our work. Rindy and family were super respectful of our privacy and we appreciate it. We highly recommend this VRBO!

I was looking for a place to stay near home so my older kids could come and go as they pleased. This was the perfect place! The house was exactly as described and is on a beautiful, quiet lake. Would plan on staying here again.
