About this cottage rental
Pelicans at Denmark offers award winning, unique, self-catering accommodation in the beautiful town of Denmark.
Our cottage is nestled between magnificent karris on the banks of the Wilson Inlet offering lovely water views in a tranquil bush setting.
Take a break, come and enjoy the fresh air and relax whilst watching the abundant bird life from your private deck – see Pelicans soaring above, wrens, finches, parrots, kangaroos and much more in the grounds of the property.
Our romantic rustic cottage sleeps two people, has reverse cycle air conditioning, a cosy wood fire, spa bath, is on one level and has a QS bed, water views and a wraparound deck where you can relax with your favourite tipple.
The cottage is particularly popular with couples and honeymooners seeking a quiet location on that romantic getaway, with 180 degree waterfront views.
Our promise to guests
Our image gallery comprises only photos taken on our waterfront location giving you the comfort of knowing that you will not be disappointed when you stay with us.
Please note, unfortunately, Pelicans does not accommodate pets due to the wildlife on the property and we are a non smoking environment.
Early morning and late afternoon provide spectacular vistas from the Cottage deck. As the sun sets charge your wine glass and relax looking out over the inlet whilst the setting sun bathes the giant karris in golden lights.
We do not accept check-ins or checkouts on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Anzac Day so that our staff can enjoy their families during this period. Similarly we have a four night minimum at Easter and do not accept check-ins or check-outs on Good Friday or Easter Sunday.

Absolutely perfect for a staycation and everything you need is within the accomodation. You can tell they have thought about minor details. They have everything, even an iron and a coffee machine. The fridge is a normal size and not mini. . The accomodation is very private and you even have access to the river which is also private. It is so peaceful and so close to the city centre.

Exactly as pictured, this is a gorgeous open plan cottage with a deck with lots of seating options, a day bed or breakfast table or upright chairs to enjoy the stunning view. Walks on the property will take you to sit by the water or other lookout views. Centrally located with east access to all Denmark has to offer.

I booked this for my mums 50th birthday present to her - she was over the moon and loved every moment of it.
The booking process was seamless and June was amazing with her communication and checking in to make sure everything is perfect.
Will definitely be booking in for myself and my fiancé in the near future!

Beautiful retreat in the trees
We had just had a very busy few days over Christmas with family and were looking forward to a relaxing few days away from the hubbub of life. This place didn’t disappoint! The place was a gorgeous room with everything you could need - kitchen, dining area, Living area with 2 couches and TV, large deck with table to watch the wildlife from, comfy bed, spa! And lovely bathroom. The spa was a delight with stunning views through the forest across the water. We were provided with eggs, cheese, crackers, olives and milk to ease us into our break. Yum! There’s a little path down to a bench near the water where we watched pelicans and other water birds. June checked in by text to make sure we were ok once we were checked in, and I felt she was ready to help if we had needed it. Only little issue we had was figuring out where exactly where we had to park - our suggestion would be to maybe add an arrow to each sign pointing left and right. But we did figure it out and otherwise had a delightful time relaxing, listening to the birds and enjoying the spa. Loved it!

Comfortable quiet studio
The accommodation is similar to a yurt style studio. Bed, kitchen and lounge all in one room. Lovely outlook to the inlet. No water access as inlet has mud flats. June left chocolates and plentiful amounts of towels, shampoo and conditioner for our three day stay. Just a note to June that we found the bed a little firm and underwhelming and no fans or aircon for warm days. Enjoyied our stay in Denmark

Peace and Serenity
I searched high and low for accomodation in Denmark four months prior to our stay in January and couldn't find anything that was a available. However, Pelicans was but in my head I was thinking that it obviously wasn't going to be the nicest place to stay because it was one of the only few available but was I wrong!! Pelicans at Demark Cottage was just beautiful and such a peaceful place, located only 2 mins from the busy town centre. The cottage has a lovely homely feel, clean and everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was so nice to be able to sit on the balcony and take in the smells of nature and listen to the variety of birds aaaaaand being able to look out of a window at a beautiful view whilst relaxing in a spa bath...... heaven!! The owners were welcoming and very helpful. Both my partner and I really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent property with beautiful view
We had a great stay at Pelican's. Very clean throughout and nice touches, e.g. spare towels, a coffee machine, flowers and candles. The view from the deck is beautiful and so peaceful. The spa bath is wonderful. Fully equipped kitchen was useful. Very friendly and helpful hosts too. Great location for the town, beaches and wineries.

Perfect city getaway spot
Could not recommend this spot highly enough. I could not wait to get to Denmark to see all of the sights and this was the perfect cottage for this. June was extremely helpful before and during the stay with all the handy little tips needed and the cottage is just beautiful. Has all of the amenities you need if you want to cook and enjoy the cottage but not far from the restaurants in the area too if you feel like venturing out. The view is amazing and I definitely did not want to leave. I look forward to visiting this spot again one day soon!!

We had a lovely stay at Pelicans. Although it is situated only minutes from the town centre, with the cabin positioned on the side of a hill overlooking the Wilson Inlet, you feel as if you are in the forrest. There are nice bush walks nearby including sections of the Bibbulmun Track. This is the second time we have stayed at pelicans and we will stay here again.

A perfect, romantic, private getaway. The setting is beautiful. We loved the open plan design and spacious feel and the great views of karri trees and the inlet. And despite the views, the design of the cottage means that you are afforded complete privacy and seclusion as well.Everything you need is thoughtfully provided. A nice touch was the bottle of champagne and chilled glasses in the fridge upon arrival. Another bonus is a restaurant only a brief walk up the hill from the cottage that serves great food for those nights when you don't want to stray too far or have already sampled too much of the local shiraz to drive. I recommend this place to any couple looking for a romantic getaway. I will definitely be back again!
