All have been restored with thoughtful historical elegance. Each has a unique personality, character and idiosyncratic charm. Each share This Mountain Life values and are excellent in every detail. All are listed on VRBO.

Rick and Cheryl will take good care of you. They are trustworthy super hosts and very knowledgable local guides. See ThisMountain.Life for more of the story. Experience a dream vacation home you’ll always remember.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: The Cabin is fully stocked for your vacation needs. We provide pantry supplies, kitchen condiments, teas and coffee, towels & linens, and first class finishes throughout. We also share our collection of navigational maps, hiking guides and adventure books, grill, and top area picks when requested. Some fly fishing gear and “townie” bikes may be available; ask if you’re interested. Some items require reasonable advanced notice.
MORE ON THE AREA: Redemption Cabin is in a picture perfect natural setting. Bright sunny mornings, moonlit evenings. The cabin is sheltered under the crags and cliffs of Little Prospect Mountain just upstream of the convergence of two snow-fed mountain rivers. Redemption is on the east side the Big Thompson River as it enters historic downtown to meet Fall River. An open treed riverbank is just across a narrow street. The road is used by pedestrians, bikers, horse carriages, motor vehicles, and buses; and the river is used by fishermen by fly and lure, (and when at peak flow) tube, and kayak.
IDEAL WALKABLE LOCATION: At This Mountain Life, you get a great walkable location. Getting to Historic Downtown is a simple downstream stroll along a cabin filled lane. There you will find the best of Estes Park's local attractions, festivals, restaurants, coffee houses, wineries, craft beer breweries, retail shopping, green parks, outdoor concerts, riverwalks, hiking paths, and other exciting places to be active or quiet. The Historic Clatworthy Studio, and Eagles Landing Restaurant are upstream to our immediate South. Piccadilly Square, Rock Cut Tap House, Estes Angler, Hunan’s Chinese Restaurant, Day Salon, Fun City, Sweet Basilico Italian Restaurant, Rock Climbing School, Estes Park Microbrewery, and Open Air Adventure Park are a short walk around the river's bend. Entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park, its wilderness, alpine lakes, trails and spectacular scenery is just a 2 mile drive west.

Very cozy and VERY convenient to downtown Estes Park.

Location was great, cabin was clean but small. Bedroom was small good thing extra bedroom as it allowed me a space to unpack stuff and get ready. Bathroom mirror over sink was small and high being short mirror was no use to me or a kid. If you are looking for location only this is your cabin.

Unfortunately, due to the flight cancellations that happened , we missed the first 3 days of our 5 days stay. However, the 2 days that we were there the owners were very accommodating and stayed in touch via texts everyday. Cheryl and Rick were very good hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay, and Cheryl and Rick were excellent hosts! Rick took some time to share with us his knowledge of fly fishing, which led us to book a guided fly fishing tour in town, and we had a great time! Cheryl was super responsive to all of our questions and was very accommodating. Thank you for a fabulous visit!

Redemption cabin was perfect for us, spotlessly clean and delightfully located, - it had everything we needed. It provided us with a little sanctuary on our very happy stay in Estes Park. Thank you so much to our hosts for sharing this little treasure.

Absolutely wonderful experience all around!

We couldn’t believe how clean the cabin was. Everything you need for your stay. Convenient location. A+++ hospitality. We will stay here again if we visit Estes Park again.

The cabin was well maintained and our hosts went out of their way to help my wife and I celebrate our anniversary. The decor definitely speaks “mountain life”. Located right across the street from the serenity of the running river. They even have a little sitting area there for your enjoyment.
You can walk to breweries, restaurants, and downtown Estes if you choose. Sidewalks are limited so we just chose to drive. We are so thankful for all Rick and Cheryl did. Their hospitality is incredible.

Redemption Cabin is the perfect location, just a few minutes walk from downtown Estes Park stores and restaurants. It’s clean, cozy and comfortable, extremely well-equipped, and was ideal for myself, my husband, and my 15 year old son. Currently (August 2023) there is construction along Riverside Drive, which can be noisy at times, and goes until late (around 10:30pm) on weekdays. However, that is completely outside of the host’s control, and is a temporary issue. Guests may want to be aware that neither of the bedrooms have doors, which didn’t bother our family at all. Cheryl & Rick were kindly flexible on our check-in time when our flight was changed, for which we were very grateful, and it was lovely to be greeted in person by Cheryl upon our arrival. Overall, highly recommend Redemption Cabin as a base for your RMNP adventures!

The propery is so quaint, decorated with such charm. The owners are the absolute best!! Would not recommend it for handicapped visitors.

The cabin is close to downtown and the river is right across the street. It was great to sit out on the patio and we even had the elk run by!

This cabin was perfect for an active get away in Estes Park. It is in a great location within walking distance to downtown to grab dinner and shop as well as quick drives to park entrances for hikes and exploring! The cabin also had everything we needed for our stay. Cheryl and Rick are lovely! They met us at the cabin when we checked in and provided us with great info on Estes and RMNP. Ricks hike recommendation’s were amazing and when the coffee pot gave us trouble Cheryl replaced it within hours!
Great hosts, great cabin, great area! 10/10!!!
Thank you for a great stay!

Rick & Cheryl were amazing hosts. My daughter and I felt very safe in their wonderful, historic cabin. It was so nice to be able to walk to town, yet also be surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were nice and comfortable. Highly recommended for a small family or couple.

The cabin has everything you'd need and nothing you don't. It was a very short walk to the main street and right across the road from the river.
Be sure to check out Ed's Cantina and Penelope's Burgers for great meals and Trendz for shopping.
Cheryl and Rick were great hosts!

Cabin was comfortable and well maintained. Convenient with Estes Park stores, visitor center within walking distance. We cooked many meals and kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. Great place to hike in RMNP!
Thanks to Cheryl and Rick who are great hosts.

All in all I had a wonderful time.
The only minor (very minor) annoyance, was the construction and related traffic near by.
Best,

Cheryl and Rick are by far the best hosts we've had. Extremely responsive and it was nice to meet and visit with them. The property was great! You definitely can tell they have put much love and thought into the renovation. Very clean and well appointed.
We were able to sit by the river and have a glass of wine. We also had elk one morning right outside our door.
Just what we needed after not being in Estes in 12 years.
Thank you Rick and Cheryl!

Cozy cabin situated in the perfect spot. The location was convenient to both RMNP and downtown Estes Park. Rick and Cheryl were amazing and extremely helpful hosts. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend!

This was a cozy little cabin with everything we needed. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed being close to the downtown area so we could walk when we wanted to. The cabin decorations were very fitting for the old cabin feel, but the updated cabin was very nice.

My wife, teenage daughter, and I stayed in the cabin for a few nights in mid-October. First, the cabin was exceptionally clean and had all of the amenities we needed. My wife is fairly particular about cleanliness and she commented a few times how clean and tidy everything was during our stay. The location was great as well. It is a short walk into downtown Estes Park which is great since parking can be a challenge in town.
Rick and Cheryl were also great with communication before and during our trip. I highly recommend a stay at the Redemption Cabin!

Loved staying at this very lovely cottage cabin. We stayed 2 nights while visiting the RMNP. Also enjoyed watching the elk just roaming around town. The cabin is nicely stocked with all the amenities you need and more. Thank you Rick & Cheryl.

This little cabin was the perfect spot for a few days in Estes Park for me and my boyfriend. We walked everywhere from the cabin because it was centrally located and the accommodations were comfortable and well thought out. We'd absolutely stay again.

Perfectly charming HOME base for RMNP adventures.
Redemption Cabin was five stars on every metric. It exceeded my expectations. The cabin is beautifully restored, carefully appointed and perfectly located. It’s obvious that Cheryl and her husband have expertly restored, and lovingly maintain, their cabins. Cheryl had authentic and thoughtful decorating touches throughout. The kitchen and bathroom had excellent amenities and supplies. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin was extremely clean. Downtown is a few blocks away…but far enough to be peaceful…especially with the creek across the street. It was the perfect jumping off point for our RMNP hikes. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Perfect Vacation!
Great cabin, great location, great property owners. Loved the perfect-sized cabin and every minute of our stay. Property owners were so kind and responsive and provided us with some great insights into the activities going on in Estes Park during our stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing Getaway
We loved the Redemption Cabin! It was perfect for two adults and the cabin was exactly as listed. Check in and communication with Cheryl was seamless. The cabin is located right across from the river which is very relaxing and it is within walking distance of the main street that has everything you need (dining, shopping, and best of all... dessert!). The entrance to RMNP is less than 10 minutes away which is where we spent most of our time. We would definitely recommend this cabin, it was a great experience!

Perfect location and cute little cabin!
We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! Everything we could have wanted in a sweet log cabin, and more. The hosts kept in constant contact with us and all our needs were met beautifully.

Perfect location
We had an amazing stay at Redemption Cabin. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and RMNP was just a few miles away. The cabin was so clean and cozy! There are a few low ceilings so If you are tall, just beware. My 6’4” husband managed just fine, but he had to duck in some spaces. We will reach out again if we go back!
