Welcome to Lac Courte Orielles lake! LCO is a spring fed 5139 acre lake with a max depth of 90 feet. The lake water clarity is very clear. Our cottage is located on the waters edge on a quiet private road great for walking, running and biking. It features 235 feet of shoreline to ensure privacy. This includes a private dock with two adirondack chairs to relax on at the end of it. This 1928 cottage was recently restored with a washer/dryer onsite. The cottage has two bedrooms, two baths and the living room has a beautiful stone wood burning fireplace. There is a fire pit and a charcoal grill available as well. Truly a unique relaxing location with a go back in time vibe.
The cottage is close to Hayward, Stone Lake and Spooner for day trip adventures or take advantage of this premier lake, by paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, canoeing or kayaking. Sit back and listen to the loons call in a delightful location.
Winter activities are abundant as well. Enjoy the American Birkebeiner, snowmobiling or snowshoeing for fun!

The cabin was one of the best we have stayed at. The location on the lake was great with beautiful sunrises. The cabin was extremely clean, decorated very nicely with all the amenities of home. The dock was very easy to tie up your boat and close to good fishing. The host was wonderful to work with and very responsive to any questions you may have. Overall a 5+ for us.

This was our second time staying at this lovely cabin and enjoyed it as much as we did the first time around. We had perfect weather so everyday we paddle boarded and swam. The spectacular blue moon was viewed from the dock which made the everthing look magical. Thank you Nicky for a fantastic stay and hope to come back next year.

This was our second stay here and was even better than the first! The cabin is cozy, clean and is in a great location! We love the dock and beautiful, clean lake. Great fishing and restaurants on the lake! We will be back again!

We had the best time in Northern Wisconsin! The cabin was perfect for our needs. Nikki was great and responded quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed the gorgeous view of the lake and bird watching from the deck. The loons were incredible!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Very nice atmopshere making the cabin very cozy for our winter stay. Loved the fireplace. Spacious with lots of seating areas.
Remember to bring your towels. Dishwasher is very slow so start it night before leaving. Hand soap is hard to wash off so might want to bring your preferred hand soap.
Liked it so much already booked for next year's trip.

Very responsive host. Wonderful kitchen and great view of the lake. About 15 mins drive to town. Would have loved a checkout later than 9 am as hard to get everything ready and out the door with a 2 year old. Also check in and out instructions are not as clear as other rental properties. Would also love to not pack all towels with us on our trip. Overall we would stay again

This cabin was absolutely perfect! The inside marries modern comfort and amenities with classic quaint cabin charm. It was cozy, clean and adorable! The property had a great fire pit, excellent dock space and many great spots to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner communicated quickly when I had a question and was kind and very easy to work with. We had a wonderful week!

Owner was responsive. We had a great time and enjoyed the wildlife, fishing from the dock for panfish, grilling out and time spent in the crystal clear lake. Home is beautifully decorated with a wonderful stove/oven and comfortable beds and bathrooms.

The sunrise and sunsets from the cabin are amazing. The wrap around windows make watching it from inside a breeze. The cabin is well maintained and very much up to date. We docked our boat and enjoyed some fishing on the lake and yearly visit to Cranberry Fest! Great cabin and we hope to be back.

My husband and I along with our standard poodle spent Labor Day week celebrating our 44 anniversary. The weather was outstanding. We rented a pontoon from M & M in Hayward. The price seemed high and could only offer a 22 ft, 11 seating , 90 horse Mercury. “A bit much for the two of us”. But they were prompt and knowledgeable regarding LOC Lake. For us the lake seemed endless, you could troll it the entire day. A lot of swallow areas so use caution.
The renovation of this cabin was planned perfectly. High quality material’s used throughout and the lighting is very impressive. Motion detector outside, inside dimmer switches throughout making such a lovely experience. Bedrooms are small, had no problem with beds. And having two lovely bathrooms with clean smelling well water was great. The kitchen and living room combo with lake view amazing. Appliances new, countertops beautiful. With each passing day we loved this cabin more. Thank you for sharing this charming cabin.

… terrific again!! A perfect cabin for two or four adults … so comfortable and well appointed. We love the three walls of windows to the great room, we love the wrap around deck, we love the open kitchen and living spaces. And outside? A sturdy dock, crystal clear water, and a sandy shallow bottom—fun for playing water frisbee—are perfect as well.

Wonderful Stay
We spent our 40th Anniversary at this lovely property on Stone Lake. We were able to access the lake easily with our boat. The cabin had everything you could need!

Hayward Escape
My wife and really enjoyed this place! It is such a cozy, nice cabin located very close to the Lake! The cabin is in a beautiful area and is very convenient to all the places of interest around the area. We would highly recommend this place!!

Wonderful time
Our family had a fantastic time at this property and anyone who is looking for a lake home in the Wisconsin northwoods should have this property on their short list.
Open concept, comfortable beds, upscale appliances, and just steps to the lake all made for a great environment.
We brought our boat and the nice dock with bumpers was appreciated. Very shallow and sandy, great for wading and swimming.
The property is also quite private with neighbors a fair distance away.
We also took advantage of the great location and enjoyed activities in both Stone Lake (Stone Pub for lunch, Wetland Park, and The Whistle Punk for craft beer, coffee, and candy for the youngster) and Hayward (Hayward Bait, Angry Minnow brewery, West's Dairy for ice cream, and the freshwater fishing hall of fame).
Only suggestion would be to have a gas grill on site. (Charcoal is nice, gas is simply more convenient).

Marvelous getaway
We stayed at this delightful home on LCO during February. The winter is a spectacular time to visit northern Wisconsin. Skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing. The cabin is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. So cozy. We didn't want to leave...and will be sure to return.

Best Place on Courte Oreilles
I've been fishing Courte Oreilles with my Dad in the fall for about 20 years now. This is far and away they best place we've stayed. Beautifully redone cabin, literally steps from the water.
Plenty of parking for a boat trailer, great dock. Huge open floor plan with two bedrooms. Great appliances, tons of windows, awesome deck wrapping around cabin. All the fixings you could possibly need.
Will shortly be booking for next fall and hopefully for many years to come. Thanks Nicky!

Over delivered in every way!
My wife and I spent three cozy days for our 10th anniversary here! It's was exactly what we needed! Privacy, comfort, and the perfect escape from the hustle of day to day life! Perfect cottage on the lake
My family and I really loved this beautifully renovated cottage. We were a group of four so it was the perfect size for us with plenty of open space. Our favorite spot was sitting each morning on the wicker set near the kitchen enjoying the view of the lake and having our coffee. The kitchen has top grade appliances which were a joy to use and the big island a definite plus when preparing meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable and did appreciate the two bathrooms. Every inch of this cottage was well planned out when the renovations were done and done well. The lake was a real treat with hard sand bottom with a large swimming area. We hope to return again next year as this place is a real jewel.

A little gem on a beautiful lake
We stayed here for five nights just two weeks ago. First off, the owner - having graciously transferred our reservation one year due to Covid-19 - was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. The property is amazing, with space to "roam" a bit while there. The shore is easy to access for swimming with clear water and a nice sandy/stone bottom. Lounging on the pier with a cup of coffee was a very nice experience. Windows overlook the lake on three sides to make the lake an integral part of the experience. We rented a fishing pontoon boat which greatly expanded our lake access for swimming, fishing, and perusing the shores (nearby Angler's Haven is a fun stop for food/drink, fyi). Overall, we had a great experience that was even beyond the high expactations we had set.

Amazing Cabin
This is such a cool cabin!! My friends and I stayed here for a fishing trip and it couldnt have been better. The cabin is fantastic with decorations and design. The bedrooms are great with 2 bathrooms being a big plus. The view of the lake is amazing and access to the water was excellent for anyone who wants to fish or boat for a weekend. We will definitely book again and look forward to coming back to the area.

Beautiful getaway
Thank you for sharing your beautiful little cabin with us. We absolutely enjoyed our trip. Everything was as described. The place was very clean and well appointed. The area was great for being in the great up north. The only items I would suggest is to have a leaf blower available for guest to clear the deck area and provide some space for guests to store their dry goods. We have the opportunity to see a bear and fox in camp. The 'bear-proof' garbage can worked perfectly.

Perfect winter warminghouse
We spent four fabulous days at this property February 2021. Close proximity (25 minutes) to Birkebeiner ski and CAMBA fatbike Seeley trailheads. Lovely lake for snowshoeing with interesting nearby properties. Open concept inside with comfortable lounging furniture and an enviable kitchen. The efficient wood burning fireplace helped thaw us out after winter activities in subzero temperatures. Nicky was a fabulous host. Very flexible and accommodating especially given the extreme cold during our stay.
