About this cottage rental

Located right on Lake Champlain in Addison Vermont, we are pleased to offer this wonderful vacation property for the first time. This property was purchased in 2015 with the intent of offering a unique waterfront property with ample capacity for large family occasions. The year round home is owned by a Connecticut builder, he and his family have created an upscale vacation home, specifically designed to take advantage of the breathtaking views of the lake as well as the landscaped grounds that surround the home.

This house is nearly 3000 square feet. While the original log home has been completely renovated with a gorgeous post and beam addition added to provide a state of the art kitchen, living room , a large master suite, a large suite facing the grounds, as well as a bathroom that is shared by both suites.

As you enter the lake house, you cant help but notice that the flooring is spectacular with Vermont maple flooring throughout. The custom cherry kitchen provides for the needs of nearly all levels of cooking skills, with stainless steel appliances, double oven, as well as a gas cooktop located on an island with Cherry cabinets and a gas cooktop. The design of the kitchen allows for wonderful flow and utility, making a fantastic spot to hang out before, during and after family meals.

Each bedroom has a wonderful view to sit and enjoy the Vermont wildlife that abounds. There is also a large family room on the cabin side that provides a nice comfortable atmosphere, separate from the living room and kitchen. Plenty of Places to Relax!

The house sits right on the lake. From the lake house, you can sit anywhere on the 70 feet of porch/deck and enjoy the lake. For those that choose to be more adventurous, On the beach we have 100 feet of dock, located in a protected bay. Safe for swimming, fishing, boating, or just enjoying the sunsets. Great for families! We offer free use of our row boat and kayaks.

While staying here, you will certainly enjoy the privacy you are seeking. However, the location is perfect for getting out and doing things. The Marina is close by for those of you who may want to keep your boat there. One of the areas busiest restaurants is only 1/4 mile away. They make a great breakfast! Additionally, for our guests, we have a list of restaurants we have found worth adventuring out.

Burlington is only 32 miles north, Middlebury is 18 miles to the west, Port Henry New York is right across the lake, an easy drive using the bridge.

I've been told that Lake Champlain is one of the top 5 bass fishing lakes in the United States. In early summer, they hold a national tournament, which is fun to be a part of. Less than a half a mile away this spring, a record breaking lake trout was caught within site of our dock. Maybe you could be the next record breaker!

Comments that I have received back from travelers that have stayed at this lake house have described it as "stunning", "majestic", and "relaxing".

We allow pets on a case by case basis and charge an additional cleaning fee at the end. Additionally, we do require pet insurance which is built into our fee structure

I love VT so to be in such a lovely location was a treat. The country side is postcard perfect. The house accommodated us all perfectly. I really like how the two sections of the house allows us to be together but blocks out the noise of the late nighters from us early (normal) bed goers. I recommend this house to all.

We had a fantastic family reunion at this Vermont property! The idyllic waterfront setting made our stay truly special. The lodging was comfortable and well-maintained, and the host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway!

It is beautiful. We enjoyed our family vacation stay. The fishing off the dock was great! The kayaks and paddle board were fun for all. There were some inaccuracies in the listed amenities but Joe did make an accommodation for them (thank you Joe) and corrected the listing. A few other reviews have mentioned it, but there is no washer and dryer available for guest use which, after experiencing it, is somewhat essential for us for a week of a lakeside stay with young teens hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing (plus two partly rainy days). It is a very rural area and there is no laundromat to go to close by. There was an outdoor clothesline that we used to dry towels. The home was spacious and the front porch was amazing for relaxing.

The property was amazing. Great home. Lots of amenities. Plenty of places to sit inside and out and relax or hang out. The deck is super long! Great way to get out in the water and enjoy the lake. We all loved it, including our dogs! We only had one issue with check in but it was not the fault of the owner. The VRBO app was not working correctly and we couldn’t get the code to check in. I was able to message the owner through the app and he contacted me to help out. Great service.

This VRBO rental home was "by far" one of the best we have ever stayed at. We pulled the bass boat up and celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. The pictures posted are good, but to see it is a lakeside dream! And no fish tails here, Its all "reel". Joe was responsive too all my questions . We stayed here with our 3 adult children and their significant others. We wanted a place to spend time together, play games and enjoy the family. This house delivered on all of those. The house itself is large, well laid out and in the most peaceful setting. It provided enough space for everyone. The fireplace made it cozy and the kitchen was incredible. It was close enough to different ski options while still being away from the crowded area. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Joe was attentive and responsive to any messages I sent and was accommodating when I wanted to extend the days we were there. Highly recommended! We would certainly visit again.

Perfect for two families as the two areas with bedrooms are both separate. Big yard. Giant wraparound deck. Beautiful view of the lake. Large family area. It's a very nice place. We did not use the water because we were there in early October. It's a bit strange to me that they lock up the washer and dryer. Also, only two bathrooms. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic house for Middlebury graduation weekend. Plenty of room for extended family - however the loft room in the older part of the house becomes uncomfortable hot unless you open the windows at night and then the smell of manure can become intense (it is VT!). Otherwise incredible views of the lake with plenty of outdoor chairs, games, activities. House is very well stocked with extras of everything. The yard is well maintained with beautiful landscaping. I miss my morning coffee on the back porch watching the birds over the lake!

The property was perfect for my family. The inside was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was so well stocked. The best place was outside. We spent time swimming, kayaking, playing in the yard and eating outside every night for dinner. Then sitting on the beautiful huge porch and watching the sunset. BEAUTIFUL
