The house is nice and clean, it is traditional cottage style with some updates. Wonderful for 2 to 3 families there. Huge kitchen and dining areas. Nice view from the dining room and some bedrooms. Very close to the Blue the village. But only 2 washrooms, it will be tough if you really have 10 people there.

Overall a great functional place to host a fun getaway with friends. Not fancy but sturdy and cozy enough. Lots of rooms, lots of common space, comfortable beds, and well located.
Process was easy and smooth, and host was responsive.

Great convenient location right by Blue Mountain village (5 min drive). Overall we had a great time and the house is in good condition with many beds.

The house was amazing! Our group had the best weekend thanks to our host. Everything was exactly as pictured. The host, Dan checked in with us a few times during our stay to make sure everything was good. We are so happy we booked this house and are already wanting to go back and plan our next weekend!

We had a wonderful time at this property! There was lots of room and it was very clean. I would definitely book this place again

The place met our expectations to host a large family gathering. The furnishings were worn, kitchen was sparse and bathrooms were pretty rough.. The whole place could use a coat of paint and general overhaul.

This property is part of the Tyrolean Village- so each property contains 2 semi detached houses. So you’ll have neighbours and limited privacy.
155 Tyrolean has all amenities but if you’re picky you’ll find the property a little dated. The interior has been renovated but the exterior has peeled stucco and needs some TLC.
Bring towels as well as cleaning/disinfecting cleaners.

Unfortunately we were not thrilled with our stay.
Upon arrival the unit smelled terrible - we ended up buying $85 worth of air fresheners and candles.
The main space was a nice gathering spot, but it is obviously quite run down and not well taken care of.
The house itself is quite large and did offer enough space for our group to spread out.
The location is decent, and close to Blue Mountain Village. The street is full of similar units all being rented for large parties. At 8pm, we were interrupted by some sort of security telling us that we needed to close all of our windows and lower our voices.
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Blue Mountain and were glad to find a place large enough for our group, but were disappointed in the upkeep (and smell) of this place.

We had a great stay the chalet! It accommodated 11 of us with great ease! Location was perfect for us as well; the village was a 20 min walk from the house.

The property was large and very comfortable, perfect for our family gathering. The large dinning table was excellent not only for meals but for games and crafts. The open concept living space with three comfortable couches made for easy conversations. We did find a few decorations or parts of decorations taped to the ceiling in one of the bedrooms along with a balloon in another room. A little more attention to cleaning in future and access to dishcloths and tea towels would have helped with meal clean up a bit better. The small sponge that was provided wasn’t adequate but overall it worked and we had a super time. Thanks very much.

I have had a terrible experience with Mountain View and the virtual host Dan Simpson and would caution anyone against staying here.
When we arrived the suite didn't seem very clean or well taken care of. There was a strong musty/smoky smell and our bed had blood stains on it. The counters were dirty from the lat guest and the dishes were dirty on the shelves, meaning we had to rewash everything before we could use it.
The next morning when I emailed Dan to discuss the state of the rental he just stated that he didn't think I was coming, even though he had never confirmed that I would not be there that weekend and was still charging me. At this point my mother and I realized the suite likely had not been cleaned or turned over at all and started to feel very anxious about being in an unsanitized place during a pandemic. There are plenty of rentals that provide proper cleaning and nice service in the Blue Mountain area so I would avoid this one at all costs.
When my sister, who's wedding we were celebrating came down with covid, we asked to switch the reservation to another off-season week. Dan was short with his response, and wouldn't answer a phone call to discuss options. My Mom and I still wanted to use the rental after spending thousands personally to cover the cost. It was such a disappointment that we were not welcomed to a clean or comfortable space.

We thoroughly enjoyed spending a weekend at Mountain View with our families. The living space with an open concept floor plan was ideal for all of us to share quality time together. The large kitchen and large wooden table and bench enabled 12 members of our family to eat and play games. We also enjoyed the living room that had a wood burning stove and ample seating for all to relax in.
The basement offered not only bunk beds for sleeping but a games room with foosball and air hockey table which were enjoyed.
Mountain View was an excellent home to rent.

The first night we arrived and there was no power to the property. We contacted the owner who essentially said there is nothing they could do. We asked if they had candles, wood, flashlights emergency supplies.. they did not have any of the above. We went out and had to purchase all of the above items. We then tried to still stay at the property. it took only 2 hours for the property to drop below 60F at what point even with the wood burning stove, the property was not inhabitable. We then need to leave and pay for a hotel for us and our guests. We returned the following day, to find that power had been restored. We started to use the property and found a lot of things in poor condition. The foosball table is broken and inoperable. The air hockey table cannot be played, as the puck does not stay on the surface. The Door for the main bathroom is a pocket door that does not close, offering no privacy to the bathroom on the main floor. We then later tried to use the sauna, which we also found was not operable. We reached out the owner once again and were told " you should have told us it wasn't working, we could have sent someone to fix it". Ignoring the fact that, in this case this was us informing them it wasn't working, and clearly they weren't going to send someone. When were we supposed to notice this earlier, when the power wasn't working?

We stayed here over the long weekend with 10 for a bachlorette weekend. The property is in a great location, walking distance to the village. The place was clean, had everything we needed and Dan was quick to respond.

The property is a 5 minute drive from The Village. It's close for convenience but also has a lot of space, privacy and quiet. The top floor really has a 'wow' factor, the windows add a ton of light and provide great views, especially in the morning. There is also a huge wrap around balcony. There are noticeable temperature changes floor to floor, with the top floor being the coolest and the basement being the warmest.
The Village Christmas decorations are amazing. It looks the best with light snowfall.
Dan was in constant communication. He addressed any issues very quickly.
Overall this vacation was exactly what I wanted. Staying in this chalet was a joy and there wasn't any need to try and predict the weather or the ski hill opening.

Enjoyed the property for a small bachelorette ( 7 people )
Excellent experience with communication with owner and check in and amenities .
Comforters we’re not as clean as they would have liked ( food and dirt ) A few earwigs inside as well . Those were the only criticisms.

The location and amenities are great. The house itself could use a little tlc but otherwise fairly clean. The upper level was a bit warm and the lower and main floor was quite cool. The property manager was great, always got back to us with answers or assistance quickly.

I would highly recommend staying at Mountain View! Myself and 8 friends stayed for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and we all were very pleased. The property is beautiful, spacious and clean. Dan was a great host and made sure that everything was up to standard and followed up with our experience. I would definitely come back to stay at Mountain View. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had an excellent time at our stay at this cottage this summer! Great location, beautiful landscape view from kitchen table. We love the wrap around balcony which had a BBQ near to the kitchen. We made good use of the two fridges provided. The long dining table was perfect for our large group and great for playing games.
There was a lot of sitting space around the television. Plenty of windows surrounded the upper room so lots of natural sunlight.
The dining area lighting was quite dim at night so we went out to buy our own lightbulb. We had a toilet issue in the main bathroom which we notified the owner and a repairman came right away to fix the issue. We were impressed. The owner communicated with us through email to welcome any questions or concerns and does his best to make our stay great.
The bedrooms in the mid level are nice and the bathrooms are located there. The second bathroom is located in the masterbedroom (which is the nicest room) however you may see lots of people wanting to use it if you have a large group. The rooms in the lower level are more of a camp feel with spacious bunk beds but we were grateful that there was a lot of sleeping space to accommodate our big group. If you are travelling in large groups, it is wise to make a shower schedule. The backyard was spacious and there is a little campfire way in the back near the woods. There are no outside chairs on the property so bring some lawn chairs. However, there is a long bench on the patio if you need to sit. We did not use the sauna but it is located inside the main bathroom.
Overall, we would recommend this place and would consider going back!

We recently rented this chalet for a family vacation. Members of our family ranged in age from 7 - 67. Unlike the previous reviewer, I would not recommend people with young children stay here - as there are many sharp corners, the stairs to the basement level do not have a railing, and the floors are slippery when wet. However, if you have a youth group, or a college-aged crowd, this is a great spot for you. The kitchen is well-stocked and the double refrigerator allows for plenty of food storage. We did not take advantage of the pool table or screens, but it was nice to have board games provided and the sauna was used every day.
Bring your own linens means ALL linens - sheets, bath towels, wash cloths, bath mats, kitchen linens (towels, wash cloths, hot pads, etc.). Pillows and blankets (as well as additional quantities of these items) were provided and of high quality.
The upstairs level was a little chilly due to all the windows, but the lower levels were nice and toasty. The owner was very responsive - I would rent from him again, just not necessarily this particular location.

We had a great time there for our ski vacation, great location, walking distance to ski tracks. Nice, clean and quite chalet, full kitchen , lots of bedrooms with quilts and pillows provided,we only need to bring the bed sheets.Sauna room is definitely a benefits after the ski, pool table and large screens make us busy when we stay in house.
