Perfect stay in Kyoto

The staff is really friendly and speaks English.

The room is a bit dark and the bed could be more comfortable but personal preferences.

とても便利なロケーションです。

三条、四条、錦市場にも徒歩圏内で、目の前に7/11もあり、大変便利なロケーションです。部屋を含む建物内はきれいにリノベーションされており、清掃も行き届いています。小さいですがテーブルと椅子も２脚あります。

特にありませんが、周辺の駐車場は大変高額ですので、少し離れた場所に車を停める必要があります。

Good location.

Location. Very close to Nishiki Market and shopping. The staff were very nice. While they don't provide takkyubin services directly, the staff did help us somewhat with filling out the forms.

This is an older property so it could use some refreshing. The room we had was very dark. Bathroom was small/old.

スタッフさんにドラッグストアの場所を聞いたらもう閉店の時間ぎ迫っていることなどまで教えてくださり、親切でした！！

鍵が古いタイプでオートロックではないので怖い感じがしました。内側のチェーンだけでもあると良いと思います。枕が高すぎて首が痛いので薄めの枕もあると嬉しいです。

Never stay if you are doing luggage transfer and for consecutive nights.

The location is very near to Nishiki market. However, it is rather far from the station.

The staff ignored our request to ask the neighbor to be quiet. The room is not soundproof, and the bedding on some of our beds is not thick enough – my parents had a rough time sleeping. We informed the staff, but they said they couldn't do anything about it because they didn't have extra bedding. There is no luggage transfer service, so you have to drag your luggage to the nearest 7-Eleven. Additionally, they don't even perform basic cleaning of your room, like clearing the rubbish.

The staff is very useful. I would love to come back here again. This place is one of the best stay in Japan.

The bed is so comfy and the room is huge.

A perfect stay in Kyoto.

The location is perfect. Close to a shopping center, restaurants and on walking distance to the subway entrance. The manager, Mr.Kodera, is a very nice and helpfull man. He even helped us to book a restaurant. We really enjoyed the hotel's hospitality. There is coffee and tea available the whole day long. If you go to Kyoto, don't hesitate and book the L.A. Mart Hotel Kyoto.

Great location! Comfortable!

Location next to Nishiki and Gion Matsuri was awesome! Staff were friendly.

You could slighlty smell the sewage in one of the rooms. But the other room was great!

Nice family run hotel, staff go above and beyond.

Staff were very friendly really went above and beyond to help us with luggage, booking restaurants, directions which is really appreciated. This is very well located hotel. Excellent value for money. Rooms are generously sized.

There was a problem with damp/mould/insulation from the window, my partner was having some problems with this. If this was solved I would upgrade rating to a 10.

Fantastic little hotel. Attentive and friendly staff, comfy beds and great location right in the shopping district (but still quiet) and near Sanjo station.

The location of the hotel was excellent, just a stone’s throw away from Nishiki market, the busy shopping streets, and many bus/train stops. Finding something to eat and last minute souvenirs was easy early in the morning or late at night.

Our room had a funky, musty scent that we could not aerate every time we returned to the room. We couldn’t open the window, so the only way to circulate the air was by keeping the bathroom fan on and the bathroom door open. There was some construction going on next door that we could hear at different hours of the day.

The location of the hotel was super convenient and nice neighborhood! 7-eleven was literally on the other side of the street and shopping streets are around the corner. Nishiki market is really close by as well. The workers of the hotel were so nice and the rooms are clean and spacious!! They have their own restaurant next to the hotel and it’s worth the visit! I would love to stay here again when I’m back in Kyoto :) Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Amazing staff, super friendly and accommodating. They even surprised my wife by arranging some honeymoon decorations. We had such a wonderful stay here. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in too! We will be back 100%

Relaxing stay.

The staff was very helpful and English speaking. I was able to check-in a few hours later and after my stay hotel offered luggage storage for free till end of the day. The room was clean, and I was provided with basic hygiene stuff - including toothbrush and razor. The location is about 15 minutes or less by foot from famous Gion district and nearby shoping streets. Really good value for the price.

An unforgettable honeymoon stay

We stayed at THE L.A. MART HOTEL KYOTO while travelling for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the manager Yasuhisa-san and Aki-san made us feel so incredibly special. From the honeymoon decorations in our room to the wine they delivered us, each act reminded us that they really cared about our stay. The room was also comfortable, modern and quiet. The hotel itself has an excellent location close to the major sites of Higashiyama and Gion. We enjoyed walking all over the area as there is plenty to see and enjoy. I highly recommend the L.A. MART HOTEL KYOTO and will be staying there again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you again to Yasuhisa-san and Aki-san for all the special treatment.
