The cabin itself was semi easy to locate, the driveway is up a very narrow hill and can easily be missed if not careful especially at night. It is secluded enough to enjoy the wildlife and scenery yet close enough to the city for entertainment. My party was able to see a variety of bears during our stay even had one walk onto the wraparound porch but the excitement of the children scared him away but just underneath the porch still visible when we stepped outside. As far as cleanliness goes I have to agree with past reviewers it was less than acceptable with spiderwebs everywhere and a small stinch. We bombed the cabin before unpacking, scrubbed down the showers and soaked all the cookware in cleaning solution. The pictures are very dated but you can tell it’s the same place just older with I guess normal wear and tear. The communication with the ‘point of contact’ leaves less than to be desirable as first outreach came off like she had an attitude or that my reaching out bothered her. I wanted to inquire about the roll away bed and air mattress as we were a party of 10. She stated there is no rollaway bed and the host has asked Evol to remove several times. We did not receive the air mattress although her response did not indicate nor imply that we would, but we made it work. The only enjoyable portion of this cabin was the wildlife. I’d air on side of CAUTION

All the basic necessities, no frills. Some spring cleaning (windows, baseboards that type of thing) is needed. Kitchen and baths and linens etc all clean and comfortable enough. Small touches like unbroken mini soaps or some complimentary keurig cups for the machine would be nice. Laundry machines and dishwasher would be great too. Worked fine for our family...we weren’t looking for luxurious features, just a nice clean place with comfortable beds to sleep in and this fit the bill. Thanks for sharing your home with us! Beautiful mountain view and great location to everywhere we were visiting!
5.0
Location is great, close to everything (Gatlinsburg and Pigeon Forge). I just don’t recommend arriving at night it’s very hidden and a little scary because it’s dark and on a very inclined hill. House is great overall. Rooms can use some brighter lighting, they only have lamps which don’t light up the rooms very well and can use a little more storage space ( there’s not much space for saving your clothes if you are there more than a few days). First bedroom’s closet door was broken not on its track. Cleanliness can be a little better, can see spider webs in the corners of the hall way and dust balls in the corner of the master bedroom, master bathroom wall by sink and toilet can be wiped down a little better, towels and linen can have been given some refreshing.

This is a very outdated house. Stove dirty, one of the bathrooms had been recently use because there were dirty towel and washcloth plus the heat light was still running and room was very hot. Texted contact number and all she said was didn’t know it was like that no other response about it.

It was well secluded. And we had awesome views. Plenty of room for my whole family

Very nice cabin away from town but close enough to go take in the sites every day.

Property was as described, a cabin in the woods. Very quiet in the evening and a nice rural atmosphere.

I was very disappointed with the fact that it did not have a washer and dryer and it wasn’t that clean. The location was great and all appliances it had worked perfectly.
4.0
The property is nice, it’s an older cabin. Cabin was pretty clean, did have something sticky in the floor of the 1st bedroom.
It is not a gated community as listed.
Location is away from everything, but we enjoyed it. We just drove into downtown.
I tried the day prior to arrival with 2 separate text to the “boots on the ground” liaison to ask if possible to get an early check in. No response. Also sent a text to see if they had a blow up mattress. No response.
So I will say that would be main complaint.

Did not see any Bears, oh well. Very nice and quiet.

I tried to email Evolve person before my trip to ensure there would be an inflatable mattress avail and or rolling bed. they said to contact "the boots on the ground" and provided me a number and name to a local person. I sent an email to the owner requesting this as well. I did not hear back nor did i see this items available for use. The location was great. The home is older and has a musty smell due to water damage. The floors buckle in places and the air is very thick. You can see some visible mold on some of the ceilings. Again, i did not expect a hotel or a new home so I was willing to overlook these things. The pictures in the ad are definitely older. The home is not in horrible shape but it could use some TLC. The current housekeeping service does a minimal job, seems like for what the cleaning fee is it would be cleaner. There was dust and some places like even the shower stalls were dirty. There was a very limited amount of toilet paper so be sure to bring your own. I did not expect a bug free home or a perfect home, and I would not have given a bad review except one of the bedrooms was infested with bed bugs. The guests that stayed in the corner bedroom with the queen bed kept getting bug bites. As we were not familiar with bed bug bites, we did not suspect bed bugs but figured they must have gotten bitten by something else while out in the woods. UNTIL we removed the bedding on the last day and saw the infestation. I tried again to reach the "boots on the ground" to let them know there was a problem. Noone answered nor returned my voicemail. I tried to call again the next day and again no return call. I was not looking for a refund, only wanted to let the owner know ( I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt) but now am wondering if he did know and that is why I got no returned calls. This place could be decent if it was properly managed.

The owner provided great instructions on check in, what to expect and things to see. The cabin had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was definitely tucked away in the woods but so close to Gatlinburg that we were a very short drive to the attractions. My teen boys LOVED it. We would definitely go back. If you are not a fan of creeping things that live in their natural habitat, you may want to try another place.

The experience was good, bo complaints at all.

To start off the discription of this property doesn’t fit the property. To start it says that it’s in a gated community to make it sound nicer and safer feeling than it is (there is no gate). The driveway used to be paved with asphalt but that gave way to weather 20 years ago. The pictures were taken years ago and little to no exterior or lanscaping maintenance has been done. Upon arrival we found all dirty sheets and towels in the floor in the living room and the smell of cats about knocked me out. We texted, emailed, and called the “emergency” contact with no response. We have a child that is highly allergic to cats and that became an issue while trying to make other arrangements. We had given them an extra hour past the normal 4pm checkin so our children including an infant were past needing a rest which we did not get. Spent over an hour trying to get someone on the phone and finally reached someone from Evolve who couldn’t help with anything. Even asking for a refund they said they had to contact owners so they put me on hold. After 15 mins I was told the owners didn’t answer and they could give me an resolution until they heard back from the owner. At this point we are totally out the over priced rate for the house, a hotel for the days we should have been in the house, plus a trip to the pharmacy to get meds for my child. Cost us nearly a day of vacation, a lot of time on the phone and very sad children and still haven’t heard a word about refund. This place is awful and should be avoided like the plague.

The cabin was a great location for our family. The cabin was clean comfortable and the kids enjoyed playing cards. The only negative about the cabin was the rooms needed a little more lighting. Thank you for sharing your cabin..

The cabin is not as updated as the pictures appear but it was a nice get away for our family.
Very peaceful and quiet surroundings. Very secluded but close to downtown Gatlinburg. Lots of shopping, attractions and restaurants near by. It was a nice stay

Don’t stay here
Coming into the cabin I spent 15 minutes out on the deck with my husband and 8 kids because the code they sent to me wasn’t correct. The cabin is way smaller then what the pics looked. Upon coming into the cabin it was clearly not cleaned. I have taken pictures of everything, before and after pics. My poor older son couldn’t stop blowing out blood because the dust was to much and my 1 year old twins whom were born premature with lung issues was breathing weird and their noses were just running like crazy and they were sneezing like crazy. So needless to say I spent my entire time cleaning from the moment we arrived. I was definitely robbed. To top it all I had to buy all the cleaning supplies. There are no washer and dryer in the cabin so I had to use the rags there to clean and had to pay to wash them so we could shower. There where 666 and Satanist stars drawn under furniture which I have pictures of as well. Mold painted over on the ceilings. This could be a really nice place if it was cared for. I will be seeking for money back as soon as I figure out how to start the process. I should have been paid for my cleaning services. I came here to spend a well deserved vacation time with my family and was robbed of memories that could have been made. This place was a joke and shouldn’t be rented out until it has been inspected by the health board. This is your warning. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME. There where broken chairs. They wrote on the walls next to the thermostat rather than just wrote out on paper and hung on the wall, or even left on the counter.

Upon arrival at the cabin there was no heating, the only TV that the cabin had had no signal, the bedding was not changed, they were those of the previous guests and under the beds we found other people's items, the furniture was rotten and with many stains , even a bloodstain . Upon my arrival, I contacted the owner and explained my concerns, but he only treated me in a bad way and told me that he was going to send someone to see that, and in reality no one ever came to help me nor did he ever bother to know how we were doing. . There was no hot water. The man had to explain to me over the phone how to turn on the heater. We had to wait 20 minutes to be able to shower between one person and another because the water froze. While you were walking, the decorations would turn and fall. there was a horrible burning smell inside the cabin, the towels had that burning smell and our clothes also got that smell. I have came to Gatlinburg several times and the truth is that this was the worst cabin, I felt dirty all the time there were no lamps in the rooms we lit up with the cell phone flashlight, if I could have gone to another cabin the first time I got there I would have done it urgently. Never again in my life will I rent that cabin

Moldy and musty.
Convenient location for our needs, however cabin smelled of mold and must, spider webs on lamps and dripping faucets were disappointing. Driveway in poor repair, and outdoor grill rusty and filthy.

Perfect location!
I was so happy to pull up and see that this cabin was secluded from others!! It was a perfect place for our family, I enjoyed cooking meals for us in the kitchen and loved sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful views. No complaints at all!

DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!! THIS PROPERTY IS UNSAFE
Please keep in mind as your read that my family includes a 7-month-old baby, 4-year-old, an asthmatic wife, and myself.
here is a list of issues with the property unsafe.
1. multiple water spots on the ceiling that were soft and wet.
2. standing water in the master bath between the bath and toilet.
3. heavy smell of mold and mildew.
4. My wife had to use her rescue inhaler within 10 minutes of being in the property.
5. the floor in the hallway was buckling and soft to walk on.
6. the hallway smelled like urine
7. all the bed linens and towels were damp and wet to the touch
8. the house humidity level was 80%+ way too high for a safe house level
9. the general cleanliness of the property was bad, cobwebs all over, stains on furniture
10. general maintenance issues, multiple light switches that didn't work, couldn't turn on multiple lamps
I attempted to get a refund due to the state of the property and VRBO and EVOLVE were unwilling to give a full refund, they were only offering to refund the cleaning fee which was a joke. We did not stay at the property and booked another cabin with a local company. FYI VRBO is located in Austin TX, and EVOLVE is located in Denver CO. No one from ether company offered to come out to the cabin to see the issues. I sent pictures of the standing water, water spots, mold, and general cleanliness of the cabin to both company’s and nether company acknowledged a problem. Both companies should be ashamed to list properties in this state, and the fact that the listing has not been removed tells me they don’t care about there customers. only reason i gave it one star is I can give it zero starts.

Gatlinburg Cabin
The cabin is simple and privately located. The decor gives it an authentic feel. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready at check in and the air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived, for our 3 night stay. They did end up getting it fixed but not until our last night there. This property has been partially updated but could use more updates and TLC. We really enjoyed the private location, deck, and great views.

Very disappointed
The property looks nothing like the pictures. Possibly they are extremely old pictures. The home was extremely dirty, moldy and smelt of urine. I spent our first night there going to a local store, purchasing cleaning supplies and cleaning the home. The living room furniture was terribly stained, smelled awful and you pretty much fell into the couch as you sat on it. The bedrooms were so full of moister that the blankets felt moist, nothing had been dusted, wiped down, the toilet had bodily fluids on the seat, most outlets and switches didn’t work. One toilet didn’t flush and the other just runs constantly. This home needs so much work, on top of that, not clean. I did reach out to the owner who responded right away on several occasions. He offered to send the cleaning lady back out the next day but by this time I had cleaned, so I declined. He did offer to refund me the very small cleaning fee, ( have not received yet ) however, the stay was thousands of dollars! My family could have stayed at a resort that was clean and maintained. Very embarrassed that I brought my family to this home in its condition and super upset the cost spent to stay in the home. In this case, I definitely did not get what I paid for!!!

Fell in love
We had a great time here. The house was beautiful with a large porch to set on and look at the mountains. Very close to everything. We had a young bear to come visit us daily but never bothered us. I highly recommend staying here and I plan to come again.

I fell in love
We loved the house and location. A great view of the mountains and we had a bear that came to visit us every day so I named him Yogi Bear. The owner was great to work with and very nice. My grandkids cried because they didn’t want to leave there this morning and I was sad too. But we all fell in love with the place it was very clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and had lots of room and loved the big porch over looking the mountains. It’s a very good chance that we would rent here again and I highly recommend staying here.

Gatlinburg vacation
Overall our experience with this cabin rental was very good. We were only a little disappointed with the condition of some of the furnishings but understood prior to our visit that there were some antiques in the living area. Communication with the owner and property manager were excellent. The cabin was clean and ready for our arrival. Entry and exit were as easy as possible. I would recommend this property to other families for location and ease into town. However if you are looking for a high end, fancy furnished place this us not the best choice. Overall it was a very good experience and visit in the Gatlinburg area.

Into the Woods
We had a wonderful weekend trip. The property is lovely, nestled out in the woods where it is close enough to drive to get groceries, but just far enough away to have quiet and darkness at night.
