Fantastic place to spend some nights. The house was very comfortable and clean and the hosts couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it if you’re thinking of going to the Chocolate Hills and around.
You need to rent a motorbike to move around, there are no restaurants or bars but you have a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

Fely’s Homestay is everything that you look for if you want to experience the local lifestyle. The host was so friendly and helpful. We were able to rent a motorbike for the day, she cooked breakfast & dinner for us and helped us with laundry. We felt totally safe in the community and people always came by to say hi. The room we got was amazing for the price. We got a ventilator which was enough for the nights. The bathroom is a bit small and there is only cold showers, but we didn’t mind at all after a long day in the sun! Oh and don’t forget to ask to see the fire flights in the back!!

The host was very welcoming and knew good English!
Room was very small and super cold shower.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it! The place is tiny but just enough for two people and luggage. Everything was clean. Nearby chocolate hills. WiFi is working well. Friendly people.
They also make breakfast and dinner if you like and they have a scooter for rent.

The owner is amazing, very kind and helpful! The place is simple but clean, a calm and peaceful place. The breakfast(140pesos) and dinner(180pesos) are great! Go walk around the neighborhood, the view is beautiful and the people are very friendly. About public transport: if you are on a limited budget, taking buses is quite a good choice. There are many buses, the waiting time is usually less than ten minutes, however there may be fewer buses in the very early or late. Go to the homestay, take buses to Carmen at dao bus terminal (3.8km from the port), stop at Batuan market, and walk for about 30 minutes then you arrive the Homestay. If you need, the owner is willing to take you from the Batuan market. Other destinations: chocolate hills, buses toward the direction of Carmen is about 20pesos. Buses to Tarsier and Roboc River Cruise (toward the direction of port), about 25 and 50 pesos respectively.
There are some flying insects before AM6 and after PM8 in the bathroom, if you are afraid of them, don’t turn on the lights.
It’s nature, having some insects is acceptable.

Very cozy huts with everything you need, simple but clean and comfortable!

Fely is a gracious and friendly host. The little store they run has plenty of snacks and cold beers. She served us a good and hearty breakfast. There's hot and cold water available always.
The seating area with the bungalow was great.
The beds were comfortable, and the fans worked well. Showers were decent, and some soap was available.
Nothing really, just note it's kind of off the beaten path(but an easy walk to get a tricycle, better yet to rent a motorbike).
It is a very basic and cheap place- keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed.

Great breakfast and dinner! We don’t eat meat so they catered to our needs and it was so yummy. Location was close to chocolate hills which is why we went but very far from the port and airport which did cost us more than the stay in transport
The sink was outside of the bathroom and it was very cramped so when you showered you were standing right next to the toilet.

Only 10 mins drive to the Chocolate Hills, situated in a quaint little village with not much else around. The host is very welcoming and friendly, and she cooked us dinner and breakfast. She also showed us the fireflies at nighttime which was really nice of her! The shower is cold but I guess in the hot weather it’s not too bad. The room is fairly clean and a mosquito net is provided for the bed. There was no aircon in the room so the room was very hot, but the fan did it’s best to cool us down. The Wi-Fi doesn’t really work. The host also has scooters available for rent, and she also assisted us with getting to the port the next day. She also has a little shop next to the accommodation. All in all, a peaceful stay in a beautiful area, and perfect for a short stop over near Chocolate Hills.

The owner was really friendly. Even though we came a bit unexpected she prepared our room very quickly. She even took us behind the house to watch some fireflies. The room was nice and big with a private bathroom. We really liked the terrace.
A bit noisy because of the roosters.

Fely’s & her sister was really friendly and welcoming. We feel like at home. The place is quiet et chill.
The bed for 2 are a little bit small. But the room was nice

The owner was so lovely, an incredibly kind woman who gave us coffee, fresh fruit and helped us to arrange tours. The place has what you need, a comfy bet with a mosquito net so no bites! Lovely remote location with gorgeous surroundings, so near the chocolate hills.
The shower was cold but to be expected and wasn’t actually freezing, just refreshing! :)

Good location about 1.5km from Batuan. Had the room upstairs which has a big covered terrace.

Fely and her family are amazing and really sweet. We rented scooters with them and they helped us book our ride to the port for the next day. The room looks like the picture.
really really in nature, so gotta be ready to live with ants (not so many if you don’t bring food inside).
shower was cold and really small.

Really enjoyed the home stay. I booked the private room with ensuite and had the full top floor and balcony to myself.
Fley and Maria were lovely and helpful.
Location was nice and it was a good break from hostels.
Good value for money.
The shower didn’t work so had to make do with the foot tap but that’s to be expected & is how it is with staying with locals, remember it’s not a fancy hotel

The owner and her sister are so friendly and helpful.
The location is great around 25 mins walk to Chocolate Hills. Definitely would recommend it

Fely and Maria were very welcoming. The food is very good- we had dinner and breakfast. The room is small but ok for our needs. Liked the seating area outside and all the friendly villagers. Fely also has a shop attached....can buy a cold beer and snacks. Life is easier with a motorbike for getting here and around
The rain....but that wasn't Felys fault.

I liked our stay at this homestay. The little hut is small but has everything you need. Same goes for the bathroom. The mosquito net above the bed is a plus and the owner is a very friendly and kind woman. Her sister is very helpful and friendly as well. We had everything we needed and the location is great for visiting the Chocolate Hills or some waterfalls in this area. I would recommend staying there. And I would come again myself.
We were a bit unlucky spotting a cockroach in our bathroom bin but what can you do... it is a place in the middle of nature.

Fely, great host, we arrived as guests and left as friends, thank you Fely for the plants snd great company and firefly watching!

Fely and her family are wonderful hosts and can make everyone feel welcome! There is always someone around to ask questions during daytime until the evening and they really try to accommodate every wish. Breakfast and dinner are available for little money, as are scooters and laundry service. I used all of these optional services and the the quality was always outstanding.
The surroundings are for people who seek peace and quiet rather than party and 24/7 action. The Homestay is located in the small village of Bautuan, next to the village "main road", which has little traffic, however. The accomodation consists of little bamboo huts equipped with an ensuite bathroom with shower. Even though simply made, my hut was very mosquito proof with a net over the bed and also nets in front of the windows. Though located near rice fields, I had zero mosquito bites, as long as I kept the door closed while the light was on. My hut also had a small porch, where I could peacefully read, relax and observe the people passing by during daytime. Fely's family also owns a little shop right next to the huts, where everyday necessities can be covered.
Lastly, the accomodation is located only 10 minutes scooter ride away from the chocolate hills, so this is easily done. Also, I visited the Raja Sikatuna National park (guided tours through the forest; monkey feeding and birdwatching also possible) and the Mayana Peak (hike), which is the highest peak in Bohol. This is really the location for Nature Lovers in Bohol!
Nothing

great location and very nice hosts. access to kitchen and water all the time. you can rent a scooter cheaply from the hosts and get travel tips around island. normal room, just to sleep. for this price it's worth it.
bed could be more comfortable:)

Best thing in this place, Ate Fely has been very welcoming and warm towards us, hospitality at its finest. The natural water stream near our room has been very calming and relaxing.
Super clean toilet and has an inside slipper which I like most. 😁

Felys is an amazing Host!!!! We had a great time!

Everything was excellent, the accommodation was clean and tidy and had Everything that was needed. Our host was lovely and accommodating and was helpful. The breakfast was big portion and very tasty, and wifi was provided also.
There was a small store attached to the accommodation where we were able to buy drinks, ice cream and other food from
Thank you very much Fely 😊
There was nothing I could fault, everything was perfect. Thank you

the best place to stay in Batuan!
it’s nothing what I can complain about

Fely's Homestay is a fantastic place to stay in Bohol. We stayed on the top floor. Comfortable bed, we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was awesome. View of the rice fields from everywhere. Fely and everybody made us feel right at home. Good value. Will definitely recommend Fely's homestay to tourists staying in Bohol to see one of the world's smallest monkey the Tarzier and site of a Science phenomenon the Chocolate Hills. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We really got lucky.
We love everything about our stay at Fely's Homestay. It was a perfect stay.

The room feels homey and the host, Fely, is awesome.
Nothing.

Extremely nice host with a cool son! He even brought as back to the bus terminal. The food was also great. Considering the location, you are in a small village which brings you really close to the locals. It was a great experience. You can also rent scooters for a fair price.
The bathroom was clean, however, the facilities are kinda old and could need a renovation.

Room is terrible. Bamboo hut. Floor is not supported. Even my 40kg girlfriend was stepping carefully. I unfortunately forgot about the bad floor and my leg went through it. Bruised my leg. Freed my leg by pulling the floor out to make space.
Host was kind and poured some alcohol on my leg when we checked out. Could have refunded at least I think. As the flooring is really done incorrectly and anyone will fall through. Even very lightweighted people.
Quite expensive for what you get. Stayed at a lot of places much better for the price. Even airconed and concrete for that price in better location.
The location is terrible btw.

Authentic experience in a homestay, with well cooked philipino food, very close to the Chocolate Hills and Bohol’s inland. The staff helped us in every way, always super nice and kind.
4.5
The hostess Fely is very nice and brought a soap with a bath towel right away. She also provided with a powerful fan and a bottle of water.
Because of the moisture I couldn't charge my phone - the message kept popping up "moisture detected on the phone's USB". There was no water in the bathroom next morning so I couldn't wash my hands, brush my teeth and take a shower. When informed Fely, she kept saying that the pump is now on and the water should start running any second, after waiting for 20 minutes I left in despair. I had to decline her offer for a breakfast since I haven't used to eating meal with dirty hands.
