About this house rental

The Sand Chook is a two-storey townhouse with a coastal look on the outside and spacious comfort on the inside. There are three bedrooms and two living areas that can comfortably sleep 8 adults. Our property is beautifully presented and well equipped with wireless internet, games, DVDs and books to help make your holiday on the Surf Coast a memorable one. During winter months early check-in and late check-out available.

GROUND FLOOR,
Two large bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, the other with double/single bunk, large living room with a fold-down couch - DB innerspring mattess, TV & DVD, bathroom, separate toilet, laundry, remote double garage with internal access, outside entertaining and BBQ area, outdoor shower for washing off the sand and salt after a trip to the beach.

FIRST FLOOR;
Main bedroom has queen-size bed, TV, private balcony, ensuite with large oval spa, and separate toilet/powder room. The main open-plan living and dining area has doors on two sides opening out to the main balcony which has plenty of room for entertaining with views over Jan Juc township. To keep you entertained, there is free wifi, a wide screen TV, DVD/VCR, and mini stereo. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with 900mm oven, stainless steel appliances, stone bench tops and a well-stocked pantry. Both levels have ducted central heating and air conditioning.

The Sand Chook is located a 5 minute drive from all surf shops and factory outlets, Bells Beach, Torquay and Jan Juc beaches and is within 15 mins of five of Victoria's best golf courses. (Barwon Heads, 13th Beach, The Sands, Torquay and Anglesea). The patrolled Jan Juc surf beach is a 15-20 minute walk from the house, as is the Beach Hotel and the popular Swell cafe, both situated in the Jan Juc village.

We had such a lovely time at Sand Chook. Netflix and wi-fi were great, and so handy to have the Nespresso machine too! It is a surf town house, but the personal touches with curious surf-themed artwork and the displayed surf boards added a touch of fun. We loved having our dog with us and she hadn't been to the beach so that was an adventure. The yard is very secure even for our sight hound who can jump. Sand Chook is laid out with plenty of space if you wanted to have room away from each other, if that's what you need! Our special needs teenage struggles with stairs, but thankfully upstairs had all she needed, so we didn't have to stress about going up and down. We only just discovered the toddler gate in the WIR as we were packing up, but if parents with little ones are worried about the stairs, I suspect that would put fears to rest. We didn't use a lot of the wonderful facilities, as the weather was a bit too cool to BBQ or eat outside, but we were warm and comfortable when we came home from the beach. We would love to get back some time.

Great property near Jan Juc beach. The house is lovely, heaps of space, fabulous kitchen with all the amenities. Very nice furnishings, great beds, full laundry . .in fact everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Family of 5 and we loved our stay. The house was spotless and was spacious with everything you could possibly need. The DVD selection alone would compete with blockbuster! Great wifi and streaming services on the tv. Great little bbq and lots of other amenities to utilise in the kitchen. Wonderful and the communication with Barbra was excellent. Thank you!

Having previously been regulars at the Sandchock we had missed the last 3 years. It was just so good to be back at our favourite beach and house! A fantastic house that is set up to cater for all ages groups. We have had young primary school kids and now teenagers, who equally had a great time. It's also great to see owners who continue to upgrade their property (new sofas and down stairs split system since our last visit). We will definitely be back!
