About this villa rental
Villa Yasumo lies just South of the town of Flayosc on the Route de Sauve Clare. Access is gained by turning left on the drive just before the sign to the hamlet of Sauve Clare. You continue on this drive for approximately 200 metres passing olive trees and small vineyard until you come to the property gates. Passing through the gates, the olive tree lined drive winds up to the house. In addition to the numerous olive trees, there are vines, lavender bushes, an apricot tree, cherry trees, a fig tree, an almond tree and a magnificent palm tree. You will pass the first of 2 car ports here.
The pretty drive leads on up to a spacious parking area behind the house and the second car port provides shade for your car.
The Villa itself is situated in a stunning 4000 sq. m plot, comprising of a small vineyard, olive grove and unusually, a large flat grassed area around the house, salt water pool and patio.
The covered Provencal patio is complete with barbecue, table and chairs in addition to a large cantilevered parasol. The shaded patio sits directly in front of the house and can be accessed from patio doors from each of the kitchen, living -dining room and downstairs bedroom. Sitting on the patio, you can sit with a glass of wine, look at the beautiful view, and keep an eye on the kids in the pool next to the patio.
The patio, pool and grassed area are completely private and have views across the valley to wooded hill on the other side.
The beautiful 10 x 5m mosaic-blue tiled, salt-water swimming pool, is found directly in front of the house lying beside the shaded patio area. The pool is complete with an alarm compliant with French Law. The pool is paved on all sides with a large area of paving on the end complete with loungers and sun shades.
The pool is surrounded on three sides with a level grassed area in which there are mulberry trees so planted as to provide a further shaded area. Two lemon trees stand outside the patio area.
The villa itself comprises 3 double bedrooms 2 of which are on the first floor and each with a built-in wardrobe. The bedroom facing south also has a sun room. On the first floor there is a bathroom which is complete with a bath/shower, bidet, vanity unit and WC.
The ground floor has the kitchen living/dining room and the ground floor bedroom with wardrobe. All these rooms face south and have double access doors either leading to the patio or the grassed area.
At the rear of the property there is utility room with fridge (and freezer compartment), washing machine and a water softener. This leads to the central hall and opening from the hall a separate WC, and a shower room with vanity unit ands walk in shower.
The living room, which leads from the hall has a dining table capable of seating 6 persons, TV set, DVD player, 2-seater settee, three-seater settee, and three separate armchairs, with large double doors opening on to the grassed area. The kitchen is complete with a second fridge, tiled double-sink unit, dishwasher, eye lever cooker, ceramic hob and a microwave. The kitchen is also well supplied with cupboards, which are well stocked with plates, etc..
The villa is ideally situated for day trips either inland to the amazing Gorges du Verdon or south to Ste Maxime and St Tropez. We recommend if you want to visit St Tropez you park your car at Ste Maxime and take the ferry across the bay to St Tropez (approx. 15 minutes). This takes you through the harbour to the quayside and you pass all the fantastic yachts as you enter to the quay. Also of course, it is possible to make a day trip to Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes St Raphael and Frejus. Again if you want to go inland a visit to Grasse (of perfume fame) is completely possible.
Of interest the market in Flayosc is on a Monday morning and while small is very interesting. However the market in the nearby town of Lorgues which is on a Tuesday morning is probably the most famous in the area and is very large and the stall holders sell a large variety of goods.
Alternatively, you just relax in the calm of the villa and its large private garden.

The villa was beautiful with a gorgeous private pool, very well equipped throughout with comfortable furniture and a kitchen with everything we needed. Set in a stunning tranquil location, just on the edge of Flayosc and with the shady old paths easily accessible. It was perfect for running, cycling and walking. Would highly recommend and would love to return ASAP!

We spent a very pleasant 2 weeks with our two grown up sons and elderly mother at this beautiful villa in the heart of Provence. We enjoyed visiting the local markets, the gorge de Verdon and beautiful scenery. Totally relaxing away from the usual pressure of work and day to day life. 🙂

Leuke locatie
Leuke locatie, erg rustig.

Lovely Villa
The villa was lovely and spacious. The pool and gardens were amazing with lots of room for the children to run around and play. The little town was lovely to wonder around and the people were really friendly. Duncan met us and showed us around and gave us lots of tips for days out. Thank you for making your home feel like ours.

Fabulous holiday, wonderful house, pool & location. Definitely recommend & will be back.
What a beautiful Provencal house, fully equipped and very comfortable. Home from home. We had a wonderful week and didn’t want to leave. The pool is just amazing! Great size and salt water, which is great for those of us who have an intolerance to chlorine. The beautiful lush green garden is very private and provides lots of shade. The location is tranquil and not overlooked. Duncan is a great host/manager who was always available to help out. He bought us provisions for our arrival and gave us great tips for places to visit and eat at. He also gave us some great running routes for our early morning runs. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon.

Lovely location and outdoor area
A wonderful holiday in this lovely hilltop villa near Flayosc. Top of the things we loved were the grounds, garden and pool. We had a couple of bbqs and really enjoyed the cool shade of the outdoor dining area.

My family and I stayed at the house for the first week in July. (3 kids at 6 and 12 years old)We got great directions to the house and had no trouble finding it. We were greated welcome by a lovely woman and her husband. The weather was great and the kids swam in the pool at every hour during the day. The temperatur in the water was excellent. (27-31). I am glad for the parasols at the pool and the patio. We ate almost every meal outside in the lovely shade.
The beds in the house was comfty and the rooms was spacious.
The area was quite and the only sound to hear was the grasshoppers (and somtimes some dogs)Lovely rabbits running in the garden at night time.
The village of Flayosc is beautiful. I would reccomend strolling around there and perhaps drive to Gorge de verdon and Moustier Saint-Marie. It was breathtaking. We survived without AC but at night time that would have been lovely. The house has two electrial fans for use. We used the Windows shutters, they are great and very french. We loved opening them in the morning.
We loved staying here for a week and we would defently love to come back. ( the kids wanted us to buy the place 😁)
Thanks to the owner for letting us stay.
Best regards Anders &Linn

Located on the fringe of Floyosc amidst olive groves and vineyards, the villa was just perfect.
We had everything we needed in the villa. It was spacious and well equipped, well maintained and spotless on arrival. We were met by a very friendly and helpful lady. There was wine in the fridge-which after a 20 hour drive was very welcome. We cooked on the bbq most nights, sitting outside beneath the shaded verandah. On several nights we saw a wild hermanns tortoise in the garden! The pool was a great size for a family of 5-with two teenagers. The villa was in a fabulous location for exploring the Cote d' azur but we always looked forward to coming back to the tranquility of the villa and pool after visiting busy Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez (go early to avoid massive traffic jams at St Tropez). The gorge du verdon was also accessible from the villa by car and made a great contrast to the famous resorts on the coast. Kayaking and canyoning are a must -organised at Castellane.
Floyosc was very pretty and welcoming and had a great morning market on a monday and night market on a friday. Also good restaurants to choose from -affordable too, from pizza to the lovely L'Oustaou!
We would all love to go back and stay in the villa again.

Wow ! Where do you start !
What a fabulous Villa with stunning views. The Owners have provided everything needed and it was a pleasure to enjoy breakfast each morning overlooking the pool but shaded from the sun. A few minutes drive takes you into the heart of Flayosc for the croissants and bread, making a note of the restaurants and bars for later in the day. The lounge is big and airy with plenty of comfortable seating if you do come indoors and the bedrooms provide for a good nights sleep. The pool was always warm and provided safe swimming for Grandad (me) and the Grandchildren (age 3 and 5) and of course for everyone. Our local lady, Jocelyn (and husband), were very helpful and available if needed. In Carces, the restaurant L'Olalpa provided a superb 3 course Menu du Jour for €11.90, including wine and Chez Martine in Villecroze is good value for money (following a visit to the Grottes!) All in all this has to be the best Villa we, as a family, have stayed in and I would recommend it to anyone. The Owners were always happy to advise and assist both before and after arriving - thank you. Peter, Norma, Fraser, Claire, William (5) and Francesca (3)
