So-so, there's room for improvement

Location is excellent, close to everything and still quiet. Personnel is kind and friendly. I was lucky with the other guests, they were interesting and cool. Cute cat and dog. The locker size is more or less ok. Small towel provided, based on my previous hostel experiences that doesn't come always as default. Possibility to store your food in the fridge. Luggage storage is a big plus. Bed was comfortable. Nice patio.

What other guests described as negative it's unfortunately true, I'll just try to list the most inconvenient things. The dormitory of 10 beds is veeery packed and there are only 8 lockers. Showers without separation, unfortunate structure for the shower and toilet (but there's luckily another toilet next to the reception). Soap was almost empty next to the toilet when I arrived, I asked to have it refilled, checked it later on and nothing happened. I think I overpaid the city tax as I've been asked 5 EUR while - as I saw afterwards - it should be 1,5 EUR/night. It was a bit strange for me that anyone could go in and out in the hostel, even in our room, I didn't feel it too secure. Since I had the locker it compensated a bit. Small thing to mention is that you'll have to make your bed for yourself (bed linen is provided). No microwave (but at least there's an oven and a kettle). I couldn't find any paper/pen in the kitchen to label my food. Price and quality ratio is not realistic, but still the cheapest option when travelling alone in the area.

Superb

Very good location, close to the beach and nice restaurants. Comfortable bed, spacious balcony and a clean and well equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff. Cute dogs and cats.

Great location, good staff, but dormitory unsatisfactory

Position is perfect and staff is friendly and gives good advice They provide also a number of intersting services, and can handle your laundry for you (with additional payment of course)

Regarding the dormitory : it is not satisfactory 10 beds in a cramped space, two showers with no separation between them, one toilet (and you have to go through the showers) is not enough for 10 people Especially compared to the price, even if Makarska is expensive, it was my most pricey hostel among the several I did in Croatia This is a business run by a nice family and maybe the other rooms are ok, but I would not recommend the dormitory there

Good location

Good location, close to waterfront where boat trips go from and also short walk from bus station

Staff were not always around and were not clear on prices, didn't want to honour the rates given on booking.com

Pleasant

Good location. Pretty good AC. Good kitchen and nice out door area. Nice shower and bathroom en suite.

The owner felt like he was kind of angry with the guests at times. People had been promised free parking but then he wanted cash bc of limited space. Sometimes difficult to find staff and the kitchen was occipied by friends of the owner the whole day.

Amazing short vacation, the hostel only made it better, I can’t wait to be back here again.

Everything about the property was exceptional, but most of all I liked the staff, very nice people. Also, the location of the hostel was perfect.

Superb

The room was spacious, it had a nice balcony. We had a nice rest. It is pet friendly and our little dog had a nice time also.

Nothing to complain. They are still under construction so we couldn't find reception at the beginning, it would be nice if they to include some signs to easy identify it.

Excellent location, in the very centre of old town, easy to explore the main street with waterfront, close to beaches and port. Wi-fi very good, quiet property, room and bathroom newly renovated, spacious for one person, well decorated. Host very polite and welcoming, easy check-in. Room had a balcony, so it was a pretty nice addition. Thank you for the good service!

Room and bathroom floors (+bed table) need better cleaning, guess it was occasional as the property looked super clean and bright in general. Rest was all fine, no complaints.

Location

The room was not ready for my stay when I arrived. I checked in at 10.30 - 11pm and the staff member advised that they "did not expect me to arrive and check in, as usually people check in before 9pm". There was no blanket / cover on the bed, nor towels provided in the bathroom. The staff member was gone, so I had to sleep the night without any blanket or cover sheets.

Very nice way to welcome and interact with the guest. The location is perfect. This is the place where to stay if you are on limited budget. You pay less than what you get :-) Thank you

Good value for money hostel in Makarska close to ferry

Hostel was great value for money - we got a spacious room, with a really comfortable bed. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. You can get quality wine, at an affordable price. I can highly recommend this hostel, as our experience was really nice.

Nothing comes to mind. We had a nice stay.

Perfect place for discovering the Makarska city!

Very nice hostel to stay for few days. We appreciate option to work during our stay and quiet location. The centre, harbor, beaches, park is just few minutes to walk.

Some people in the Hostel, unfortunately they left some mess in the kitchen. Fortunately they have staff to clean in when this happend :-)

Just a stroll to the Makarska Riva, friendly hosts and a nice front yard to enjoy your meal & coffee

Nice communication with the hosts, waited for us very late for our check-in. Overall a nice place for a fast overnight stay.

Staff handles the quite jammed private parking for you, not ideal. As they were nice and careful with my car, they forgot to switch it off.

Well worth the cost

Staff were brilliant! Great location close to everything you could need, nice room. The info card recommended restaurant Jez, best steak of my life! Well equipped kitchen.

There wasn't much social aspect at the hostel - not a big problem, but not a great spot to try and meet people.
