Lovely setting, very clean and attractive property.
No big saucepans or casseroles. Very small fridge.

The Winning Post is a beautiful property. Clean light and airy, all the facilities you would want as a home from home.. Balcony with access from both bedrooms upstairs, excellent outside space with your own patio and bbq. 3 beautiful bathrooms. The photos really don’t do it justice! Excellent location for travelling around Somerset, 30mins from Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Wickey Hole etc. 5 min drive to great restaurants, lovely countryside to explore. The host Rachel is lovely and friendly. Would totally recommend!
Nothing bad to say at all!

Lovely stay at the winning post. The house was beautiful, peaceful and spotlessly clean. Great amenities, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and immaculate bathrooms. Only small niggle was we couldn’t get the wifi to work, but as we were out and about all the time enjoying Glastonbury Festival it didn’t impact our stay at all.

No complaints at all.

Beautiful location and first class accommodation, everything spotless and like new. Had a wonderful Christmassy feel with the tree up and lights outside. Beds were just to my taste, firm memory foam ,so slept like a log. 3 bathrooms, all with quality towels and a beautiful well appointed kitchen. Great for Longleat and Bath. Hoping to return in the summer to use the
outside space and a huge balcony from the bedrooms. Even the local Chinese delivers and that was excellent as well Lovely friendly couple who should be so proud of what they've built.
Would have loved a hook for my dressing gown in the bathroom

Lovely, clean and a peaceful location.
Modern and well equipped.
It was nice to be able to sit out in the shared garden or on our private balcony in the evening.

The property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept.
The water pressure was low in the showers and the single beds were very small.

The location was close to the nearest town, it was very quiet with plenty of grounds around it.
The showers could benefit from having a pump fitted. It would have been good to have a washing basket for when we used the washing machine and the kitchen could have done with a few more items ie a bread knife and a salad bowl.

I stayed here for the two nights before my wedding with my bridesmaids and mum who went on to stay the night of the wedding. What a perfect place to relax before the big day!
Loved the design of the place as soon as we stepped in, everything is to tastefully done and no expense spared it seems. The quality of the towels and bedding is lovely, great cooking facilities, incredibly clean and tidy, the amazing outside space with lovely views and a very comfortable nights sleep which was very important - I could go on and on!
For me this accommodation was perfect as it had a balcony for a moment’s calm on the wedding morning and so much light and space downstairs for the hair and makeup to be done. I was left some very thoughtful gifts by the owners and a card, all interactions with them were brilliant! Thank you so much!
I really cannot think of anything wrong with the property!!

It’s all good - a home from home in the countryside. Rachel has equipped this property with everything you could possibly need for your stay and is on hand if you need anything. The Winning Post is super clean and spacious with access to the large garden with a great BBQ area and views to the lovely Somerset countryside.

Beautiful location but quite remote. Beautifully clean property and very well equipped
The sofa was a bit uncomfortable- it felt like it was sloping forward
It would be useful to have hooks on the back of the bedroom/bathroom doors to hang bathrobes / dressing gowns
My daughter found her single bed to be quite hard

Location was excellent, away from it all in beautiful countryside. Rachael made us feel very welcome and the accommodation was excellent. Ideal place for a quiet relaxing break.

We went as a family of four, 2 adults, a 2 year old and a 2 month old. The property was set in a very quiet and beautiful location with fantastic far reaching views of the countryside and the horse fields. All the furniture was good quality and the house was finished to a high level both inside and out.
All the beds were so comfortable and the bed linen smelt lovely which is always a hit with me!
The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare a decent meal and lots of local info is provided including local takeaway menus in case cooking isn’t your thing!
There is a patio area complete with gas BBQ and a lovely terrace upstairs leading off both bedrooms overlooking the horse fields, it was really lovely watching them play in the evenings!
Rachel was very friendly and accommodating and a great host. This property was probably the cleanest holiday rental we’d ever had, real attention to detail. We’d definitely like to stay again.
The wifi was a bit hit and miss at times.

Everything was perfect. We spend isolation during christmas and the host had set up a christmas tree for us to make us feel more at home. Our daughter loved the horses and the owners spend a lot of time to let her be close to the horses making her day everyday.

Owner is on site so access is very easy. We were met on arrival and we were bid a safe journey on departure. The house is very well appointed and we didn't find anything lacking. Fabulous to have three bathrooms too as we are a family of 5.
Beautiful verandah and balcony accessed from lounge and both bedrooms with lovely views across the fields. Very peaceful. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
Nothing! Everything was just fine.
